IPhone 4 locking up during a call
I have had a problem with my iPhone 4 locking up during a call. Typically I'm bored when talking to some people. I'll put it on speaker and then browse the internet. Often, but not always, the phone remains locked on the phone screen and I can't get the home screen or do really ANYTHING. For example, I was talking to someone and needed to go to my calendar to schedule something. It would not let me leave the phone screen.
Also I often will end a call or have the call end and the phone screen remains in the foreground offering me the red bar at the bottom to end the call until I click on the home screen.
Anyone else have this problem? Is there a fix?I just received my iphone 4 yesterday. I had the same problem. I upgrade the os to 4.02 and still the same problem. I read some of the posts and decided to test the theory about the proximity sensor. I have a griffin case on my phone. When the phone is in the case, the proximity sensor doesn't function correctly and it locks up. When its out of the case it works just like it should. I called myself on my office phone and moved the phone back and forth from my face. Once the screen blanks when the phone is in the case, the only way to get it to unlock is to pull it out of the case. But if I use the phone without the case, I have no problem at all it works flawlessly. It blanks when I put it near my face and immediately unlocks when I take it away. I hope the free case from apple will solve this problem because I am paranoid that I will drop my phone without the case and destroy it.

Try putting your iPhone into recovery mode and then use iTunes to restore it. After that then test it out. If during the restore you get and error code, check it against the second article for further assistance.

Just got an iPhone 5; when I try to call one of my contacts, the phone defaults to sending an email to the number instead. Is there a default I need to turn off?
go to a contact> edit the contacts> erase the number that your trying to call and see if in the box it says email

I lost my Notes on my iPhone 4S. I had them and all of a sudden there are no Notes on my phone. It happened when I was backing up my husband's phone to our laptop. How do I get them back?
I posted this almost a month ago, I'm surpirsed noone else had had this issue...
I don't sync that often (yeah, I know, crusify me), but tonight I went to synchronise again and I got a different photo that wont come over....
In addition to the above:
- the photos are taken with the same camera, on the same date and time as other photos around it...
So "why is it now no longer compatible with iphone4?"????
If I unsync a photo, it just gives me a new photo it can't sync.
Can anyone tell me how to find ALL the photos it can't sync? This is a serious deficiency of iphoto/itunes/sync with iphone... -

I deleted the playlists on my iPhone and when I now try to synchronize with my iTunes account to put the music back, nothing happens and I do not get the music back on my iPhone. Anyone who knows why that could be? Grateful for any suggestions!
I know it sounds weird, and that is the reason I posted my question. Because my case is not like all the ones I've found online and it's confusing. I added a screen capture of my itunes with my old iphone (the one that houses my playlists) connected to it.
My playlists "ARE" in my iphone 4s. They are still there even though they do not show up when I plug in to itunes in my computer.
When connecting my phone to itunes on my macbook, the playlists do not appear anywhere in itunes. I have found my connected iphone icon, I have clicked on the arrow next to it and it does pull up the standard lists that come with the iphone/itunes: Music, Movies, TV shows, books. That's it! below that is "Genius" and below "Geniuns" is "PLAYLISTS" but the only playlist of mine that shows there is one that I created several years back titled "90's music" and that one I created it on my computer, not my phone. Under "90's music" there are also other standard playlists that itunes automatically adds.
Does anyone else have this issue or know how to get around this. I am starting to think that I am going to have to recreate these lists on my computer -

Same problem here with iPhone 4S and 7.1.1! I was thinking that my phone is broken... but it's exactly my issue.
I've tried with soft reset and phone works perfectly again for a while. I've tried with a full restore and does not solve the issue.

My iMac all of the sudden started going in and out of the dashboard, then started changing all files on the desktop to 2's. It also did this when having another window open. Do I have a virus?

Performance tip: Keep the Desktop clutter-free (empty, if possible)
Mac OS X's Desktop is the de facto location for downloaded files, and for many users, in-progress works that will either be organized later or deleted altogether. The desktop can also be gluttonous, however, becoming a catch-all for files that linger indefinitely.
Unfortunately - aside from the effect of disarray it creates - keeping dozens or hundreds of files on the Desktop can significantly degrade performance. Not necessarily because the system is sluggish with regard to rendering the icons on the desktop and storing them in memory persistently (which may be true in some cases), but more likely because keeping an excessive number of items on the Desktop can cause the windowserver process to generate reams of logfiles, which obviously draws resources away from other system tasks. Each of your icons on your desktop is stored as a window in the window server, not as an alias. The more you have stored, the more strain it puts on the window server. Check your desktop for unnecessary icons and clear them out.
Keeping as few items as possible on the Desktop can prove a surprisingly effective performance boon. Even creating a single folder on your Desktop and placing all current and future clutter inside, then logging out and back in can provide an immediately noticeable speed boost, particularly for the Finder.
And it is why Apple invented 'Stacks' for Leopard.

Opposite side is hearing his own voice along with mine in iphone 4.
I have an iphone 4. Software version is 4.3.5. I am having a problem while calling. Call is okay; but opposite side is hearing his own voice along with my voice. Its like a repeat to him. He is also hearing me. From my side (iphone 4) its okay.
Is this a network problem, Or for the top microphone? It does not happen all the time.It is normally a network problem.

can't reload Photoshop elements 7 on my windows 7 operating system. Everything goes well and it appears to be installing. All of the sudden the Installer starts to roll back everything and error message shows up saying I can't use this product at this time.
