just bought an iphone 5 white 16gb in singapore and started sailing. after activating and checking the phone i found my camera flash was not working .. even in auto and flash on mode its not working and resetted again but still my flash was not working. is it software r hardware problem. now i have a problem.,. as im a sailor i may not go bak to singapore , is my warranty valid in any othe country and please let me know how to make my flash work. please

No one here can help you. If your phone is no longer under warranty, a third-party repair shop will most likely be your best bet. You can't mail the phone to Apple, in the US, as Apple does not accept international shipments. You could mail it to a friend/relative, in the US, & they could take it to an Apple store for you. Some Apple stores repair iPhones. Otherwise, you're looking at an out of warranty replacement.

Iphone4 camera flash not working

Hi all.
I'm new here so please be gentle.
I picked up my shiny new Iphone 4 yesterday and have only just had chance to have a play. It would appear the flash on the camera will not work.
I've searched these forums and can't see anyone saying the same. People mention about it lighting up at the wrong time etc but mine does nothing.
Can anyone pleeease help?

When you go to camera, there is a little touch-select displayed in the upper left corner. Turn it to "on" and try it.
If it still doesn't work, you can go to Settings, General, reset, reset. this will reset everything.
If it still doesn't work, take it to an apple store for testing and corrective action.

E71 camera flash not working with auto focus

I have using E71 from last 2 months . As of now i came to know its auto focus option by pressing '2' button. Before flash was working fine with auto focus option but from last 2 days flash light is not working with auto focus option and pictures clicked comes to be very dark. Can anyone suggest how to sort out this problem.

Camera Flash not working on N95

Hey everyone hopefully you can help me out. I received an apparently water damaged N95 (only know this because of the red water indicator, internally the phone looks very clean with no signs of corrosion anywhere).
Everything on the phone is completely functional apart from the camera flash in any setting. I have replaced the whole camera lens assembly with flash LED and ribbon from another working phone but STILL it does not work. I have also done a firmware update.
Im guessing ive tried everything and its a mainboard hardware fault?
Can anyone advise me on anything else or how i would go about fixing the problem?

Im going to phone a nokia repair centre tomorrow, tell them everything ive said here and see what my options are, if any. Does a nokia repair centre repair phones down to component level or just scrap the motherboard for a new one? Not much of a repair centre if they do.
Anyhow ill see what happens.

6220 classic - camera flash not working

Hi,
I have a problem with the 6220 classic's camera flash. When I'm taking pictures, sometimes it does not work at all - no matter if I set the flash mode to "always on" or "red eye".
What bugs me is the fact that the flash sometimes decides to work, and sometimes it doesn't. At first, when I tried the camera, the flash was always working (IIRC). Now, it rarely works - sometimes, a photo session seems to work and flash goes off every time, but then, at the next session, I just can't get it to work (by session, I mean taking a bunch of pictures and then turning off the camera mode by turning the switch on the phone).
I tried to figure out what might be going on. At first I tried the phone in a pitch dark place - still, the flash is silent. Then I tried restarting the phone. No luck.
Any ideas what else I might try (maybe trying to fully-charge the phone and then test the flash, maybe reverting the phone to factory settings), before I turn the phone to service?

did you try to update your phone to the latest firmware?

make sure you always do a back up of your data before doing any of this. if this continues to happen even after update i would take it to nokia care for them to have a look.

Nokia 5800 XM camera flash not working since last ...

I had purchased the Nokia 5800 XM and the camera was fine, and it still is, but the flash for night photos does not work. It has completely stopped working.
What is the solution to fix it?

Please go to your camera settings and activate Night shooting mode or night portrait mode and Turn on the flash.
If this does not work please perform a hard reset using the code *#7370# security code 12345 if asked, remember to back up first using Nokia Suite.
As your flash is is working during the day, I do not think that this issue is a hardware problem. But if these steps do not solve your issue please visit a Nokia Care Point to take a closer look at your device.

IPhone 4 battery draining + flash not working

I've had my phone since February 2011, and haven't had any problems up until today. The flash no longer works, I've attempted taking pictures and using flashlight apps, but it's not working whatsoever. And yesterday, the battery started draining like crazy out of nowhere. I fully charged it before unplugging for the night, and by the time I woke up it was completely dead. My phone is usually my alarm, so I was lucky to wake on time. I fully charged it tonight after it drained again, and it's already at 78% just a few hours later and no use. My phone has been opened before, but not fiddled around with at all. Any ideas of what could be causing this, I appreciate!

Just an update - this ended up not fixing my problem. The battery is still draining.
On a side note - I actually left my phone charging overnight and the alarm did not go off this morning because the phone was mysteriously shut off during the night. It hasn't done this in 3 years but did the night of the iOS upgrade yesterday.

Camera Flash not working after IOS7 Install

Hello. I installed iOS7 on my iPhone 4 last night. I had a Flashlight App on the phone prior to the upgrade, which now has a built in Flashlight utility. The probelm is, I cannot get the flashlight to turn on at all now. Not through either app and not even with the camera. I tried deleting the Flashlight App then restarting the phone, no change. Has anyone else ran ito this problem yet? Are there any suggestions for a fix? I already made a Genius Bar appointment for Sunday, just in case I cannot get this fixed.

I have a resolution update for this: Delete any third party flashlight apps on your phone. Perform a backup on your phone. Restore the phone to factory settings then restore the phone from your backup. After doing that, the flashlight utility on the menu and the photo flash on my phone started working again.
I was pretty sure this was a software issue but I took the phone into an Apple store over the weekend. They did the factory reset at the store then checked the phone for hardware issues, none were found. They ordered a replacment phone for me which I will call to cancel today. When I got home and restored the phone from my backup, I discovered the LED was working again.

I have a problem with my Nokia 6220c . After taking a picture, black screen appears with a sign proccesing image, it takes about 30s and then it shows UNEXPECTED ERROR OCCURED. Power off the device and restart.

To exclude any possible software corruption you would need to backup essential data with Nokia Suite, before returning device to "Out of box" state by keying in *#7370# followed by 12345 (default Nokia lock code unless altered by user);iIt looks increasingly as though this is a hardware issue requiring visit to a Nokia Care facility if this is cost effective however now.

IBooth camera flash not working after Mavericks v10.9.2 upgrade

I recently upgrade my laptop and I noticed that the flash in iBooth isn't working. I enabled the flash and it does flash, but the picture taken still appreas dark as if no flash was even used! Any idea how I can fix this?

I could not find any app called "iBooth." If your problem is limited only to this one app, contact its developer or see its Support or FAQ info for help. Perhaps all you need to do is add more light to the room or sit closer to your display when you make a picture?

After updating software to 8.2 on iPhone 6 both cameras will not work. Black screen.

Then I click retake and the camera will work. But I have to go through this whole process every time I want to send a picture. This must be a bug, Apple, please help! =(
