Iphone 5 will not turn off + lock button doesn't always work
Has anyone seen this problem my iPhone 5 will not always lock or be able to turn off .
It eventually turns off then after reboot works fine for a while then starts to play up again
Have you tried resetting the iPhone?
To do that - Press and hold the Home button and the Wake / Sleep button at the same time. Keep them both pressed until the Apple logo appears on the screen, it can take over 10 seconds for this to happen.
If that does not work then try restoring the software in the iPhone in iTunes.
If that does not work then take the iPhone to Apple as it may have a hardware fault.

Just moments ago I was making a video and my iPhone 4 said it had 20% battery. When I went to check my phone it wasn't responding so I assumed it was dead. I went to turn off my iphone 4 and it will not turn off... it is just stuck on the circle thing it does when shutting down???? What's wrong with it?
Try holding down both the top and home buttons a the same time until it restarts- that probably would do it.

Last week I noticed that my iPhone suddenly started losing battery rather quickly--it would only last about 3 hours on a full charge. In addition, the speakers stopped working--they would not play any music or video content, even though the ringer continues to work. To reset the phone, I tried to turn it off. The spinning wheel that appears while the phone shuts down was very dim but the phone eventually shut off. About two seconds after the phone turned off, the Apple logo appeared and it turned itself back on. No matter how many times I tried to turn it off, it continued to turn itself back on.
Eventually, I let the phone run the battery all the way down. After remaining at 1% for about 5 minutes, the phone shut itself off. Once I plugged it back in and charged it, the problem continued to occur.
Thinking that this was a problem with iOS 6, I upgraded to iOS 7, hoping that would fix the problem. After the upgrade, the same problem continued to occur.
I then tried to restore the phone using a backup stored on my computer. When I did that, the phone completely stopped working. It refused to activate and would not get a carrier signal--no phone, no text messaging, just WiFi.
At a loss, I then did a factory restore. After completing that, the phone finally got a carrier signal again and, in addition, the speakers began functioning again. The spinning wheel that appears when the phone turns off is full brightness now, but the phone still will not stay off and the battery still drains very quickly. Using System Activity Monitor to examine the phone is unhelpful. When fully charged it says that the phone should have 10 hours of battery life remaining, but within an hour that number has dropped to 6 hours, and within another hour or two, the battery is completely drained. CPU Core usage generally hovers in the mid to high single digits. Mail is set to fetch manually and no applications are running.
Is there a way to fix this, or is it just Apple's built-in way of requiring an upgrade every 18 months?Did you have the battery changed recently?

Iphone light will not turn off
the light on my iphone 4s turned on and will not tirn off. I tried resetting, turning flash on and off in camera mode to no avail.
Did a restart to factory settings, still on.

Turning off thumbnail caching doesn't always work
The standard solution for stopping the creation of thumb nail files doesn't always work. This assumes that since you don't display thumbnails you don't create thumb nails. Not true. If you try to move a JPG created by Windows Media Player as message is

As far as I know there is no official way to turn off thumbnail caching. The only option in Group Policy is Turn off taskbar thumbnails.
Local Computer Policy\User Configuration\Administrative Templates\Start Menu and Taskbar\Turn off taskbar thumbnails
Do you encounter any difficult position that must disable thumbnail caching?

My iPhone 4 will no longer turn off. I hold down the button on the top right of the iPhone and get the red slider to turn the iPhone off. I slide it to the right, but instead of turning off my iPhone reboots (restarts). I tried restoring the software/firmware and reloading using iTunes, but this did not solve the problem. Does anyone have any ideas?
You may have an app running.
Try force quitting.
Force quit an app: Press and hold the On/Off Sleep/Wake button for a few seconds until a red slider appears, then press and hold the Home button until the app quits. You can also force an app to quit by removing it from the recents list.

My iPhone 4 will not turn on (Sleep button broke as well cannot hold Sleep Home button)
My iPhone 4 has worke alright since I've had it, I believe it ran out of battery since it was low the last time I checked it. It will now not turn on even when I have charged it for an hour+. The sleep button does not work so I cannot hold the Sleep + Home button for 10 to 15 seconds to turn it back on.

My iPhone 4 will not turn off.
When I pereform the normal shutdown (hold down button on top right and slide red slider) the phone only reboots and restarts.I am also having an issue where iTunes and any other app that requires sound does not display a 'volume bar' and will not play any sound on the phones external speakers. AT&T said it was probably an issue with the new iOS. Any ideas?

on/off switch does not work Iphone5. Phone has been in a Otter Box 100% of the time. If out of warrinty you are out of luck. Have to buy a new phone. Why in the world can the chinese not make a better switch? This is so lame!!!!

The light on the back of my iphone 4s will not turn off. Even when I turn the phone off the light stays on. Can someone help? I did notice that the camera on the back has a little bit of moisture. (I have 3 small kids).
You will need to have the hold switch replaced.

Will not: rotate screen, camera will not work, iPad will not turn off, sound on side.
Ipad will not turn off, sound button does not work, camera does not work, screen will not rotate. Have new ios and update.
Reset all settings
Settings>General>Reset>Reset All Settings
Note: Data will not be affected but settings will be reset. -
