Iphone 5 wont charge ( please help )
so ive recieved my iphone back from apple today ( repair ) the phone had a problem with charging i had to wiggle the lightning connector about in order to get it to charge but i woke up one day and nothing, so it came to me in the post today and apple said they had sorted the issue out, but its still not working ! ive tried all the resets, tried it with my laptop, i have 2 lightning connectors and none seem to do make it charge or anything so im very frustrated at the moment, can anyone give me some advice ? the phone is showing nothing its like its completely dead ive had it on charge for 2-3 hours and it doesnt show the usual connect the charger animation - Thanks Everyone

Well this is the forum for the 5th Gen iPod and not the nano, but how do you now it is not charging? Does the battery symbol show the little AC plug symbol on top of the battery symbol? If it does, it knows it is being charged.
Is it actually not charged at all, can you play it? For how long?
If it is going dead then maybe ask in the correct forum. -

my iphone 5 wont charge I tried everything to turn it back on. It was working one minute but then I went to go use it and it wouldn't turn on, 10 hours later and it STILL won't turn on. It was fully charged, but I charged it some more just in case - didn't work. Then, I plugged it into my computer while holding the home button down in order to update/restore it. It updated but never restored, and after that it STILLLLL won't turn on. I then tried holding the home and lock button down together for a few minutes in order to restart it, yet it still won't turn on. It is getting extremely frustrating at this point. I googled any other solutions to this problem, but all of the solutions I've basically already tried, and ended up never working.

A few of my ipod touch pins were broeken, but it charged just fine, i had to keep it plugged in all the time though. Two days ago, even though it was plugged in, it died. Ive tried every outlet and cord, but it just wont charge. it turns on, the apple logo comes up, then it dies. it shows the dead battery sign once in a while, but wont charge. i tred plugging it up to my computer last night to charge it, but it still didnt charge. please help me!

In most countries they will do so for a fee. US$199 for a 4S. It may just need a new battery, which Apple will install for about US$70.

If no change after restoring the iPhone with iTunes as a new iPhone or not from the backup, there is a hardware problem.

Turn your phone completely off, wait a few seconds, then turn it back on again. I tried this when my phone wouldn't charge and now it's charging happily.

The iPhone 4 can only go to iOS 7.1.2 which was released quite some time ago.
The iPhone 4s can be updated to iOS 8.2 (latest iOS). Is this what you did?
What are you using to charge? Check cable and charger for correct function. -

I recommend these troubleshooting steps if your iPhone battery does not charge:

If your battery doesn't charge, or if your device shows a low-battery image, black screen, or "accessory not supported" alert, follow these steps.
Inspect the connector at the bottom of the phone:
Make sure that there are no bent pins in the connector.
Make sure that the connector is free from debris.
If there are bent pins or debris, please contact Apple Support.
Otherwise, continue troubleshooting.
Make sure that the outlet you're using works.
Make sure that the Apple USB cable and Apple USB power adapter work.
Plug the device in to power and let it charge for up to 30 minutes. If you don't have an Apple USB power adapter, try connecting to a computer's high-power USB 2.0 port (not a keyboard). The computer must be on.
If the device still exhibits an issue, try turning your device off and then on again while connected to power.
If the issue is persists, please contact Apple Support.

Last Resort, put the iPhone in DFU mode (Google How to do that). Connect in iTunes. Follow on-screen prompts to Restore. All Data would be lost, if not backed up earlier.
To save the photographs you may have to use third party software. Google is your friend. -
Hi. My itunes library is in current 10.5.2 but my old ipod touch 4th or 3rd gen is not updating at all its still in current 4.2 and there is some apps i cant download that requires a 4.3 update but in my itunes it wont. Please help!
Are you sure you have a 4g/3g iPod? If you don't have a camera, it's definitely not 4G. If it has no camera and is 8 or 16 Gb it is a 2G and can't go beyond 4.2.1.
