IPhone 5C "activation required"??

My iPhone 5C keeps telling me activation required. My phone is activated and I have reset it, but it still keeps telling me this. Any ideas how to make it stop?

Reboot. Restore. Restore as new. If none of those work, make an appointment at the genius bar of your local Apple Store and have it checked.

You will need to go to Google to find the best way to get this off of your phone. If you have the beta software but you are not a developer, it means you are running a pirated copy of the iOS, and we can't help you here....

Apple Iphone 4s - activation required problem

I purchased a second hand 4s on EE, i have just restored it and updated etc, every time i put a sim card in it says activation required, i have tried every other sim card in the phone and it still does the same any help appreciated.

i've bought unlock iphone 5 from apple store in Delaware, but when i come to my country the iphone don't recognize the sim card from our country, (i should mention that i've bought 2 unlock iphones, one works perfectly, and second one dont want to work) activation is required. I've called apple support, they told me that everything is ok and the phone is unlocked and i should restore all my settings etc. obviuosly - nothing helps.today i went to authorized apple service in my country - and they told me that there is some problem on Apple servers , and i should pay 100 dollars and within 2 days they will resolve the problem with Apple. But i refuse to pay so much money. I NEED HELP!

Does the wording unlocked appear on your receipt? If the receipt
does not say unlocked, the iPhone is locked and you must contact
the wireless provider to see if they will unlock it and if you qualify.

I have just bought a new iPhone 6 from the apple store.. my sim arrive in two days time.... am I able to use a neighbours sim to activate my phone and then switch to my sim when it arrives.. would this work .. but would it cause problems?

Bad idea. You activate under your account not your neighbors. Go out to walmart and buy a nano sim if you don't have the patience to wait.

Well, for one thing, you are not addressing Apple here, this is a user to user forum. Secondly, Apple does not unlock the phone, the carrier does. Your questions were answered in your original post. Posting again is not necessary and will not get you a different answer.

TS2755 My iPhone 4 says that I need to restore it every day, even after I have already restored it. When I try to restart the phone after receiving the restore message, it then changes and says "activation required". How do I fix this?

My iPhone 4 keeps having the "Restore Needed" message pop up on my phone. I have restored my phone several times this week, and it still keeps happening. The "Restore Needed" message pops up, so I immediately do a hard shut-down. Once the phone restarts, the phone then says "Activation Required". I keep shutting down and restarting the phone, and sometimes it snaps out of it, seemingly on its own. Sometimes I have to go home and restore and activate my phone. How do I fix this? I'm 2.5 hours away from the closest Apple store and 1 hour away from the closest AT&T store.

Make the time and take it to the Apple Store. Make an appointment first. Or you can call AppleCare and go for a mail in replacement.

HT4061 found old iphone 4. want to use it for wifi. But it wont let me into my iphone. it says activation required and then plug into itunes, then as soon as I plug it into itunes it flashes the apple logo on and off and wont be detected on itunes.

found olf iphone 4 or 4s in the back of my parents closet. They told me I could now have it back and its been a year since the last time I saw it. It wont turn on unless it is plugged up to a wall plug in. But as soon as I turn it on it says activation required then it says plug into itunes. After I try doing that it plugs into my computer but flashes the apple logo on and off. It wont even turn on all the way when plugged into computer...only the wall. ANY IDEAS?): and no I didnt steal/find this phone. It is mine. I dont have the guts to steal but a lot of people online have accused me.

"Activation Required" on a 3 year old iphone?

I have had the same Iphone 3gs for about 3 years now. I have never had a real issue with it. Last night the battery died while i was sleeping, and this morning when I put it on the charger, it says "Activation required" but then it wont connect to my wifi, and when i hook it up to Itunes threw the cable it says it cant read my data restore to factory settings... What should i do and if i reset it will i lose everything thats on the phone?

Your device is in Recovery Mode. You have no choice but to Restore it.

Once the Device is asking to be Restored with iTunes... it is too late to save anything...
To minimise loss... Connect to iTunes on the computer you Usually Sync with and Restore from the most recent Backup...

I am living in uk at the moment and i have an unlocked iphone 4s. Each time i put a new sim in it a message appears saying ''Activation Required''. When i slide the unlock bar it asks to choose a wifi network or a mobile data network. So far this hasnt been a problem coz i always found a wifi network around me or the mobile data network worked fine. Now the problem is I am moving back to my country Bangladesh in couple of days. And back there wifi isnt a very available thingie. And mobile data network is very hard to connect. So if i put on a Bangladeshi mobile service sim in my phone how do i activate it without the wifi or mobile data network? Please some help asap would be much appreciated.

Sorry for the rant up there.. Thanks for your quick response. I couldn't get to an Apple store and can't order anything from the States that contains Lithium ION batteries -- no U.S. Postal Services will deliver these to us anymore. Target sold this to me as an unactivated Sprint phone. I never activated it through Sprint in the States and just took it to Germany with me. I updated to vs.6.0 via ITunes and without the Sprint SIM Card installed. The IPhone is now accessible (Apps, Settings, etc., to be able to check firmware, et al., settings. However, I can't tell if it's unlocked (since I upgraded the version without the Sprint SIM Card installed) until I go to the local cell phone shop and stuff in a BASE (provider) SIM card and test it out. Is there a way to tell whether or not the phone is unlocked without a SIM card in it? I don't think there is....

Instructions to get the phone back working temporary.. till there is a real fix.
1. turn off the phone
2. fire up iTunes
3. press and hold the home button, plug in the cable, hold till you get to see the recovery mode
4. iTunes will the allow to choose restore the phone back to 5.0.1 ( no other choice)
5. iTunes will then ask you to choose which previous backup to would like to recover.
(note: please do not reboot your phone unless necessary, i realize at times after reboot, it goes back to sq1)

HT4623 having the message " activation required" and i am unable to activate my iphone 4

I got up from bed on sunday and got the message " software expired" on my Iphone 4. I switched it off and on and got the message "activation required". Since my wireless connection is slow, I tried using iTunes on my laptop to restore my phone to factory settings but till today i have been unable to get my Iphone on.
Can some one help me on how to go about it?

The phone is carrier locked to a carrier other than the one you are trying to use. Contact the carrier it's locked to to find out what their unocking policy is.
If you purchased it from Carphone Warehouse in the UK, they do NOT sell unlocked phones. The phones they sell will only activate on a UK carrier and will lock to the first UK carrier used.
