Iphone 5c front cam doesn't work...

hey, as I said my FRONT cam doesn't work on my Iphone 5c.. I had it 2 weeks ago. When I open the photo app its work good for the
other cam (extern one) but when I wanna take a selfie with the front cam it's like loading and I can't take any picture from the front cam. I'm on an Iphone 5c 8Go on 8.1.2. I was waiting for a bug correction on the new update but it still not working... HELP!
here the front -->

Hey there biloute35,
If you still have not been able to use the front facing camera, I would like to recommend the troubleshooting in the following article:
Get help with the camera on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
If you see a closed lens or black screen when you open the Camera app, try these steps:
Make sure that there’s nothing blocking the camera lens. If you’re using a case, try removing it.
Force the app to close, then open the Camera app again.
Restart your device, then open the Camera app again.
If your device has a front and rear camera, try both cameras by tapping  (camera swap icon). If you see the closed lens or black screen on only one camera, take your device to an Apple Retail Store or Authorized Service Provider for more help.
Thank you for using Apple Support Communities.
Take care,

My ipad front camera doesn't working, cannot take a picture this moment, how to fix this problem?

Try closing the Camera app via the taskbar and see if it works when you re-open the app : from the home screen (i.e. not with the Camera app 'open' on-screen) double-click the home button to bring up the taskbar, then press and hold any of the apps on the taskbar for a couple of seconds or so until they start shaking, then press the '-' in the top left of the Camera app to close it, and touch any part of the screen above the taskbar so as to stop the shaking and close the taskbar.
If that doesn't work then try a reset : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.

    Try closing the Camera app:
    1. Double-click the Home button to reveal the Task Bar
    2. Hold down the Camera app for a second or two until you see the minus sign
    3. Tap the minus sign to close app
    4. Tap area above Task Bar to return to Home screen
If the above doesn't solve the problem, do a reset:
Hold the Sleep and Home button down for about 10 seconds until you see the Apple logo. Ignore the red slider

  • Front camera doesn't work! Battery dies super fast!

Hello! I received my ipod touch 5th generation as a bday gift in November 2012 and I'm having a couple of issues with it. First the battery dies really fast. I have wifi on all the time and I dunno if this is the issue, but using music playback for about 4-5 hrs/day and reading/instagram/fb/WWF for like 1-2 hrs, it lasts about 15 - 20 hrs. I think there has to be a problem because my touch 3rd gen lasted longer basically doing the same thing. And if I play a video for <1hr, the battery lasts less than 12 hrs. That's one thing. Also, a couple of times both the front and back camera have frozen up, and for about a week now, the front camera doesn't work. When I switch to it, it closes up as if it's taking a picture, but it never opens up again, it just stays there. This is for video and camera. The front one just doesnt work. PLEASE HELP! I'm obssesed with this thing and I'm really disappointed by these features. I dunno what to do. And the worst is that after I try to switch to the front camera, I can't switch back. I have to restart the ipod to be able to use the back camera, because it just doesn't do anything.

    For the camera problem
    Try:
    - Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
    - Restore from backup. See:
    iOS: How to back up
    - Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
    -  Make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store.
Apple Retail Store - Genius Bar
The battery life you are getting is normal and expected. If you have a concern after doing the above make an appointment at the Genius Bar.

  • For some reason just my iPod5 front camera doesn't work.

My back camera does work and everytime I select my front camera, it doesn't open. I haven't dropped my ipod and I have reset my settings and turned the power off my Ipod. Is there an obvious way to fix this problem or should I get my iPod repaired?

You can try a Reset first: hold down the home and sleep button, wait for the Apple logo, let go of the buttons.
If that doesn't work try a Restore from Backup in iTunes. Still no go? Try a Restore as new.
If that still doesn't work make a Genius Bar appointment at your nearest Apple Store.

  • IPhone 4S back camera doesn't work

This is my second iPhone 4S that I have gotten and put on the ios 7 updates. On both the devices the back camera does not work. The app comes up black. Sometimes I can switch to use the front camera, but not always. Verizon is sending me a third phone because Apple keeps saying it is a hardware issue. However the camera worked just fine in the old ios. Leads me to believe its a software issue. I've tried resets, network resets changing options soft resets, everything I've found online. The camera won't work. Please help.

Have you done a reset? Hold down the home button along with the sleep/wake button until you see the apple, then let go.

  • My iPod got wet, now front camera doesn't work

My iPod was in my pocket for a day when it was heavily raining like 2 months ago so I started checking if it was okay but it was wet so I wiped it and when I went on the camera the back camera was a bit weird but that went back to normal the same day, however my front camera is still broken. When I go to go on the front camera, the screen freezes and if I try to go on it through another app like snapchat or a photo editing app it either won't give me the option to do so or it will crash the app. Can this be fixed or do I have to just carry on with it not working?

The iPod has been water damaged...there is no way you can fix the problem.  When it gets to be too annoying, or other functions fail, take it to an Apple store to get an out-of-warranty replacement.  That will typically cost $99-249 in the US depending on the model and storage capacity.

  • Front camera doesn't work,

My camera force closes and says process com.android.camera has stopped unexpectedly, when I try to stitch from the main to the front camera

Try going into Settings-Applications-Manage Applications, hit the All tab.  Scroll down to and select Camera and choose Clear Data.  Hopefully that will fix it.

    Hello Kunmon,
The following article provides some useful troubleshooting that can help get your iPhone's camera working correctly.
Camera isn't functioning or has undesired image quality
If the screen shows a closed lens or black image, force quit the Camera app.
If you do not see the Camera app on the Home screen, try searching for it in Spotlight. If the camera does not show up in the search, check to make sure that Restrictions are not turned on by tappingSettings > General > Restrictions.
Ensure the camera lens is clean and free from any obstructions. Use a microfiber polishing cloth to clean the lens.
Cases can interfere with the camera and the flash. Try gently cleaning the lens with a clean dry cloth or removing the case if you see image or color-quality issues with photos.
Try turning iPhone off and then back on.
Tap to focus the camera on the subject. The image may pulse or briefly go in and out of focus as it adjusts.
Try to remain steady while focusing:
Still images: Remain steady while taking the picture. If you move too far in any direction, the camera automatically refocuses to the center.
Note: If you take a picture with iPhone turned sideways, it is automatically saved in landscape orientation.
Video: Adjust focus before you begin recording. You can also tap to readjust focus while recording. Exiting the Camera application while recording will stop recording and will save the video to the Camera Roll.
Note: Video-recording features are not available on original iPhone or iPhone 3G.
If your iPhone has a front and rear camera, try switching between them to verify if the issue persists on both.
My issue is still not resolved. What do I do next?

If setting up as new device without using the latest backup does not bring the camera function back, get it looked at or serviced by Apple:

i updated iphone 4 to ios 7.1 and the camera doesn't work. what can I do?

First, try to reset the phone by holding the sleep and home button for about 10sec, until the Apple logo comes back again. You will not lose data by resetting, but it can cure some glitches after installing new software or apps.
If this does not help, and to rule out a software issue, set it up as new device without using the latest backup, in case that backup contains corrupt data.
Is the camera working after that, restore from the backup. Is the camera still not working, this might be a hardware failure and you'll have to get the phone serviced by Apple:

  • Iphone 6 back and front cameras aren't working!!

    Hello,
I using the iphone 6 since two months ago and today i noted the back (and front) camera isn´t working. The ecrã becomes black, when i try to photograph the app closes. I heard that the iOS could be damaged and I updated the system to 8.2 (the brand new one!!) but the camera is on the same status. Is it posible to change the iphone at apple store? Is it a hardware problem?
Tks in advance with the help

To make sure that this is not software related, set it back to factory settings, without using any backup data afterwards. Set up the rest of the personal settings manually and test the camera. If it still does not work, this is a hardware issue and the phone has to be serviced by Apple or an Authorized Apple Service Provider. This should be no problem since the phone is still under warranty.
