IPhone 5c not receiving SMS

My iPhone is only receiving 20% of messages that are sent to it.
I've tried this from 3 different phones.
I've taken the sim out, powered off and on again, restored network settings, restored from back up and restored as a blank phone.
Still not receiving all of my messages.
Is there anything else I can try?

I have. They said its most likely a phone issue as when I transferred the sim to another iPhone 5, all the missing messages came through.

My problem is that most of the time my iPhone does not receive phone calls. I can call, send and receive sms, mail works, wifi, everything. But most of the incoming calls are not received, therefore my iPhone is not reliable as a phone. I have updated the firmware, I have reset it several times, but nothing changed. Try testing the iPhone without any accessories.

HELP - not receiving sms on android after using ichat

For the past 3 months, I have lost the ability to receive SMS texts about once a month.
The first time it happened right after I sent somone an ichat on my ipad. Up until then, I had not used ichat for about one year, which is when I went from an iPhone to an android (and I have not used it since then either). I did some research online and found some suggestions on how to fix the issue. A few forums suggested removing my cell phone # from my Apple Support profile. A few others said to change my apple password. I did both and my messages started coming in about 3 days after they stopped.
About 3 weeks later, I stopped receiving them again. I looked at my Apple Support profile and found that my cell phone # had been added back in. Thinking that maybe Apple has some job that runs every so often and repopulates information on blank fields, I removed my cell phone # again and entered a bogus #.
Couple days ago I stopped receiving texts again. I looked at my Apple Support profile and found that the bogus # is still listed so that was not what fixed it the first time.
I have called ATT (my carrier) repeatedly and they have tried to trouble shoot my problem with no success. They suggest that it's only something that Apple can fix. I have also called Apple and they suggest that it's an ATT issue. No one has been able to help me. It really surprises me that this is not a known issue with a fix.
So here is the problem in a nutshell:
I am not receiving sms texts on my android, from anyone at all.. doesn't matter what kind of phone they have or who their carrier is.
I DO receive mms texts.
All of my texts are going through no probelm.
Does anyone have any clue how I can stop this from happening every few weeks? I want to stick with my current phone until the next iPhone comes out. Any leads on this issue are greatly appreciated!

I just don't understand what you mean by "invites". What kind of "invite" did you send "from another gmail to gmail"?
What about a simple email? Do you receive simple email messages to that address?

My iPhone is not receiving mail but these messages continue to flash at the bottom of the screen: Checking for messages, Updated just now, checking for messages, etc. After a minute or so it will flash downloading 1 - 32 messages but nothing is received

I turned the phone off for 30+ minutes and also tried to reset it, but the problem continues. Any ideas on how to solve the problem?

Double click the home button and swipe up the messages app to stop it, then open the app again. This pretty much completely stops the process and freshly opens it again, resolving problems at times. I have had this happen before as well on my iPad, I get a banner, check messages, and nothing new is there.
If that doesn't work, close the app like suggested above, but then restart the phone by holding down the home and lock button for 10-15 seconds until the apple logo appears.

I am not receiving SMS texts although I know people have been sending them to me. I've had friends text me to see and they dont come through. I am also receiving BBM messages but cannot open them in my messenger! I really only communicate via these two means and really need help! I hate the people at the Sprint store and DO NOT want to have to go there...again.

delete your mail account and add again your own then try. if it doesnt work reset the phone and start as an new phone

My iphone will not receive/send calls or texts when my computer is on? Help?

Recently I've noticed my iphone is having reception problems while I'm in my apartment. I've noticed that when my computer is on, my iphone will not receive or send any texts or calls and has problems connecting to the internet. This is a pretty new development, I've had my phone for years with the same computer and no problems before. Any ideas?

Your computer and iPhone 4 are two seperate elements really using different connections.
i.e your computer will probably use your router to connect to the internet where as your iphone uses your mobile phone carrier to send and receive texts and calls.
So its pretty difficult to judge how they can effect each other. You try resetting your router, but ive never heard of anything like this happening before...

Iphone will not receive emails

I recently changed my password on both my yahoo account and itunes account. i have an ipad and an iphone. My ipad is receiving emails under my old password, and my iphone will not receive emails under the new or old password. when I try to enter password for email under setting on iphone, it gives me the message that the yahoo server is unavailable. again, my ipad has no problems receiving emails nor does my wife on her iphone.

I don't have any other email accounts on my phone and I don't get any type of error message. It just says "Checking for Mail" and I receive nothing, so I know that it is accessing my work email system. I haven't made any changes to my account. I only accepted the message to update my carrier system.....I do have an appointment with the local Verizon store to see if they can help.
Just FYI, my Exchange email account still works on my iPad, so I'm pretty sure the settings are correct.

N9 not receiving SMS's

A friend of mine has an N9 and it's not receiving SMS's.
What could the problem be and what could they do to get it working again?
They've tried restarting the phone, and sending an SMS to themself.

Would be interested if this has started after updating to latest v30.2012.07-1_PR_001 or not. Strange as you might expect to receive SMS but not send if issues with message centre number. It might be an idea to check in Settings > Applications > Messages > Message centre number - where default is to use from SIM card:

IPhone 4S not receiving some SMS since 5.0.1 update

Hello,
I've bought an iPhone 4S from Telus back in October. At the beginning, I was having a lot of trouble receiving SMS but after a while the problem disappeared. However, since I updated the phone to 5.0.1, the problem is back. I can have a conversation without any problems and then it will just stop for hours because I never received an answer, when the person actually sent the message seconds after my last one.
Any ideas? Do you believe the problem is related to Telus or the iPhone?

Let's do a little recap:
- Do not detect in iTunes/XCode on my iMac Mid-2010 running Mountain Lion 10.8.2 (Both 4 and 4S)
- Do not charge when plugged-in on my iMac Mid-2010 running Mountain Lion 10.8.2 (Both 4 and 4S)
- Soft Reset from the phone does not work (Only tried on iPhone 4)
- Hard-Reset from the phone does not work (Only tried on iPhone 4)
- DFU Mode will not trigger the iTunes. (Only tried on iPhone 4)
Perhaps it is not widespread, but it is annoying. Especially when the iPhone 4 is my work phone and I need it to deploy/test my App before submitting to the App Store!

Not receiving SMS Texts from other iphone users

I am on Orange PAYG in the UK EVERY time I top up I will receive free Texts, Free down load allowance etc at he end of my free month I turn off my Mobile data so as not to use up my credit ( in a mater of seconds ) due to me having not mobile data running - I was able to receive SMS Texts from iphone users using imessage (my phone was recognised as being able to receive standard SMS Texts and would do so with no mobile data - until recently now this no longer seems to work Why Would This Be ?
