IPhone 5c notes disappeared

I went to go write a note on my iPhone 5c this morning and when I opened the app for notes it was empty and read "no notes." I know that I had something like twenty or more notes on my iPhone, and I did absolutely nothing to get rid of them. I tried rebooting my phone which didn't work, and opened and closed the app hoping they would come back but they haven't. I searched around the internet for helpful information or suggestions but they were all related to mailboxes, which I never had my notes attached to my mail accounts. I also haven't backed up my phone in a while.
Is there anything I can do?

So you have business contacts that were lost... do you not have these on a Database in some shape or form? Sounds like you need to invest in a RAID1 backup setup for your computer so you dont have this issue in the future.
As for repairing your problem, sounds like you are going to need to start from scratch at this point or if the data is still on your phone look into a program that can take the information from the phone onto iTunes.

  • IPhone 6 notes disappeared before my eyes

While accessing the notes on my iPhone 6, they disappeared before my eyes. I don't have a yahoo account and they weren't sent to my charter email - any clues as to where I should look next? I'm quite frustrated as there were some important notes there.

Had you every backed up your phone to iTunes or iCloud?

  • My iPhone contacts/notes disappear at random times.  Help?

For the past few months my iPhone contacts and notes have been disappearing at random times.  Sometimed they reappear, sometimes they dont.  For awhile I was solving the problem by going into iCloud settings and toggling some features off and on.  This no longer works.  I get the feeling this is an iCloud issue as the "find My iPhone" feature is always off when I go back into settings, even when I have just switched it back on a day or so earlier.
I notice that whenever my contacts disappear the "Find iPhone" feature is also disabled.  All of this started when I thought I lost my phone and put it into "lost" mode.
Any suggestions?  I phone latest iOS on a Verizon 4S.

No dangers at all resetting the PRAM. I forgot to post instructions earlier so I'll post them below. It's possible resets may handle the issue or it's possible it's something mechanical too such as not enough RAM which is easy to upgrade or a failing HD. BTW how much RAM is installed and what size HD does the machine have and how much is availalble? But let's finish the basic resets (SMC, PRAM and Safe Mode restart) before we start looking at anything else.
    SMC RESET
    Shut down the computer.
Unplug the computer's power cord and all peripherals.
Press and hold the power button for 5 seconds.
    Release the power button.
    Attach the computers power cable.
Press the power button to turn on the computer.
    PRAM RESET
    Shut down the computer.
Locate the following keys on the keyboard: Command, Option, P, and R. You will need to hold these keys down simultaneously in step 4.
    Turn on the computer.
Press and hold the Command-Option-P-R keys. You must press this key combination before the gray screen appears.
Hold the keys down until the computer restarts and you hear the startup sound for the second time.
    Release the keys.

  • Contact disappeared from iPhone but not deleted from Address Book on sync

FYI, I have an iPhone 3G running iOS 4.2 (the latest), and I have never so much as thought about MobileMe.
Until two days ago, I have had no reason to doubt that my iPhone's Contact list is the same as my MacBook's Address Book list. I now have no confidence that the same info. exists in both: I know for sure that at least one contact long present in both has disappeared from the iPhone, yet syncing all contacts neither returns it to the iPhone nor deletes it from Address Book! I need help troubleshooting this contact as well as verifying that there aren't other similar anomalies corrupting my data, hopefully without manually comparing all 685 entries...
Two days ago, a certain number, let's call it (310) 555-5555, popped up in my recents list as a missed call and in my visual voicemail. When I listened to the voicemail, I discovered that (310) 555-5555 was Jane Smith. I remembered entering Jane Smith several months ago, so I thought hmmm, does she have a second number? I tried to add (310) 555-5555 to an existing entry, only to find my iPhone had no entry for Jane Smith anymore at all! I did not delete her myself, and I'm not aware of any 3rd-party app that ought to have affected the entry. I haven't called Jane Smith or (310) 555-5555 in quite some time, so I have no idea how long the entry may have been missing. I searched the whole phone (left of the first home screen)
At the next opportunity, I looked in Address Book on my laptop, and indeed found the expected entry for Jane Smith, (310) 555-5555. I have no idea how she disappeared from my iPhone -- did I or some third-party program delete her? Or did it happen through some sync issue? -- but I naturally worried that when I next synced, the deletion would sync, too, and I would lose the Address Book entry, leaving me without Jane Smith's number at all.
Such an event would defeat the entire purpose of backing up my phone contacts to my computer; I just moved to iPhone this spring after being a Palm user since 1997, and the idea that iPhone might not be reliably syncing my contacts is frankly terrifying. I checked and saw that my Address Book listed 685 contacts to iPhone Contacts's 684, so I decided to risk a sync in hopes that maybe I had caused a one-off deletion. I wrote down Jane Smith (310) 555-5555 just in case and hit sync.
The results of the sync and my subsequent troubleshooting have seriously undermined my confidence in the fidelity of the sync process. The first time, nothing changed--I still had 684 iPhone, no Jane Smith, and 685 Address Book, including Jane Smith.
Thanks in advance for any assistance.

Before conecting your phone, open iTunes on your computer and go to Preferences, on the Devices tab check "Prevent...from syncing automatically".  Now connect your phone and when it appears in iTunes on the left sidebar click on its name.  Go to the Info tab and confirm than your have checked Sync Contacts with Address Book.  Now further down on the Info tab under Advanced>Replace information on this iPhone check Contacts.  Click Apply and sync your phone.  This will replace the contacts on your phone with the contacts in Address Book.  (When complete you can go back to iTunes preferences and uncheck "Prevent..." to re-establish automatic syncing if your prefer this.)

    Hi, MPiaM.
Thank you for visiting Apple Support Communities.
I would need clarification on if you are experiencing an issue with syncing photos via iTunes or iCloud to provide a better answer.  However, here are a couple troubleshooting articles that cover both scenarios.

  • After getting iphone notes disappear from iPad

Since getting a iPhone the notes keep disappearing from my iPad. I can find them in my yahoo email account but how can I prevent this from happening? It's happening daily. It is very frustrating when I go to add to or refer to the note and it's gone from both the iPad and iPhone. All I want is for the notes  to stay on the the 2 devices!!! So when I update on the iPhone, they update on the iPad and not disappear!

It's weird, I also have the same problem starting from TODAY, on my iPhone 4 with iOS 6.0.1.
FORTUNATELY for me, I had a backup file..!
When I re-import them on MacOS X "Address Book", they appear again for then being removed when syncing with iCloud.
    Looks like there's no logic!!!
    Did someone figure this out?

  • Notes disappear from iphone only to be found in folder in email account on computer. Folder does not appear on phone email. How can data be transferrred back to notes?

After backup/sync to computer, some of my notes disappear from my phone and are found on my computer in a folder on my personal email account.  How can I transfer this information back to my phone in the Notes section where is was originally?

BTW, I believe the reason why the note I needed was the only one not saved in my Gmail "Notes" folder is because it was the only note created after my Gmail account encountered suspicious activity therby causing my iPad to require a password update.
Once I switch email accounts, the note was lost (hopefully not forever) since my iPad didn't have time to receive the updated password info from Gmail and push the latest note to the notes folder.
I'm convinced this is what happened and caused the problem. I just need someone to crack my case for me!

  • Why my voice memos & notes disappear?

Suddenly to my horror today when I check my voice memos playlists most of my voice memos are gone from my iphone. I did not tweak around with my iphone or itunes. I backup my iphone regularly to my itunes PC and the voice memos are still in my itunes Library, but they are not in my iphone anymore. What's going on? And how do I transfer back the voice memos from my PC to my iphone?
My ipad is also experiencing notes disappearing by itself in the couple of months, which I've never had a problem after years of using it. But I have a Notes Folder in my email account which still have the lost notes. I can't figure out why. Please help

I just did, but it doesn't do anything. How do I transfer the voice memos manually from itunes to iphone?

  • Iphone 6 notes gone

    Hi,
I've had my Iphone 6 for about two months or so now, with no problems. But today, to my dismay I found out that all my notes (roughly 150) had disappeared. Now I've tried everything in the book to get them back and I will display a list of what I've done to retrieve them. Today is Monday the 24th of November and the last time I recall checking my notes was on the 21st of November. There's no reason for these notes to disappear into the abyss.
    Anyway, here's the list:
Firstly, I turned off my phone and left it for a few minutes - nothing.
Secondly, I restarted the phone; holding both the home and the main button - again, nothing.
Thirdly, I checked in Settings >  Notes and it just said On My iPhone with the blue tick. Now I researched a bit and checked Settings> Mail, Contacts, Calendars and went into my email ( Gmail) and Notes was never turned ( not green). I know this is naive of me, but iCloud as had the same; Notes wasn't saved (not green).
Now, I clicked on the Notes to turn it green in the GMAIL> MAIL, CONTACT ETC. Still no sign of my notes.
I wrote a few notes to maybe reenact how I could possibly delete all notes at once, no such method is possible. One must simply do one by one or by swiping to the left each time.
Now I found the WONDERSHARE DR.FONE FOR IOS. I downloaded it without hassle and did what the video on youtube showed me. I patiently waited while it scanned. At the end of this ordeal, only three notes appeared. THE ONES I WROTE IN BEFORE. Which annoyed me the most was that there were pictures from over a year ago that popped up? Yet no notes bothered to display itself.
The last thing I did do was I was on the iOS 8.0.1 or something along those lines, now those of you who know that this software had bugs and the lot. Perhaps this was the case? Anyway, I downloaded the iOS 8.1.1 in the hope of getting the notes back and of course, nothing again.
Look I've tried a lot, but I'm willing to try more and would be deeply appreciative if you could give me some advice.I'm deeply sorry for whoever is reading this. I'm trying to be as descriptive as possible in order to get my notes back and Maybe, someone out there might have the knowledge of discovering how to get them back. Thank you.
    Regards,
    Oscar

Same thing is happening to me on both iPad and iPhone after iOS 6.1 upgrade!  In fact, I noticed that if I try to start a new note, as soon as I minimize the keyboard and it starts to synch, the note disappears.  I can't even create a new note and keep it!  Same thing happening on both devices, so I think it's a bug.  I was able to find my old notes though, just by luck.  You'll have to log into a computer rather than your device though, and don't ask me why.  Here's how to find:
    1) go to settings on your device and look at Notes.
    2) look at what it lists as "default account". That's your email account where it should have saved copies.
    3) log onto that account on a computer.  Can't see it on your device - at least I couldn't.
    4) in that email account, you should see a folder called Notes.  In there, you'll find your saved notes.  (Again, for some reason, this folder doesn't show up in my email folders on either mobile device.)
I'd be interested to know if you also experience the same problem creating new notes.

  • I downloaded some albums using my iphone, i then synced it with my PC. Now all the album artwork has gone from the songs i downloaded on my iphone, but not on the itunes on the pc. How can i get the artwork back on my iphone?

I downloaded some albums using my iphone (3GS), I then synced it with my PC. Now all the album artwork has disappeared off my iphone but not off itunes on the PC. How can I get the album artwork back onto my iphone?

I had the similar problem last night and found a solution (although it takes more than a few clicks).  Highlight all the album tracks in itunes on the pc and right click "get info". Check the artwork box in this window.  I found that the now playing art was showing up in the itunes window, but on songs that were missing artwork showed nothing in the get info box.  When I replaced the artwork by using the artwork command, or manually adding it into the "get info" window.  It was annoying but my iphone updated every album.
