IPhone 5c Orange EE PORTING ISSUES/SMS Problems

Hi,
I upgraded from Orange to EE a year ago and opted to keep my original phone number.
The day I had the phone I restored all my settings from the cloud. Everything worked fine apart from SMS messaging to non-iPhones.
I found out that I only had the email selected on the send and receive section of the settings, at the time my was greyed out and I could not select it, this has now disappeared completely!
I rung EE customer services and we went through EVERYTHING to try and fix this phone so I could send SMS messages. They told me it was a porting issue and it would be resolved in a week or so, but a year on, I'm still brother getting my SMS service.
Also although iMessage works, it still says waiting to connect in both message and face time settings.
I've tried everything with this phone and not even EE could solve it.
What's going on?

    I apologize, I'm a bit unclear on the exact nature of the issue you are describing. If you are saying that your iOS devices are not showing up in iTunes on your Windows computer, you may find the troubleshooting steps outlined in the following article helpful:

I also cannot connect to the home panasonic IP cameras because the error "Not allowed to use restricted network port" appears. In order to connect to the cameras remotely I must enter the port number after the local IP address, and is not allowing me to do that. Any expert out there? Example of a connecting address: http;// 95.242.228.177:80 (80 being the port).

    Are you using a specific application to connect or trying to go through Safari?
    You may need to use an app that connects to IP cameras.
    You can search the app store and search "video camera" or "webcam"

    Then you have to bring it back to the country you bought it from. Warranty is not International.

    Sounds like a hardware issue.  Bring the phone to Apple for evaluation.

  • IPhone 5 sms problems

    I am now on my 2nd Iphone 5 and still unable to send sms to selective people. Dont know the reason and this problem even confused the apple supporty staff on my first Iphone 5, so they replaced it. Now the same thing is happening.
    Does anyone have any ideas? HELP

    The iphone was exchanged on friday last week and over weekend I was able to successfully sms those individuals.   Yesterday , sent sms to a friend am, and it went through with no problem.   I again tried to sms the same person around 5 pm -  the phone came up with ! and not delivered.   The friend is on the same carrier, but does not use an iphone.
    I then tried to sms another colleague in South Australia - it simply would not go through again showing ! and not delivered.
    On taking my sim card out of my Iphone 5 and puting in my daughters iphone 5,   the message was retyped and went straight through.
    I can receive sms .  However can only send selectively.  I can also send imessages with no problem.

    Additional things to try.
    Try this first. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
    Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.

    Another thing to try - Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.

    Reference to your question, I'm not using Adobe Digital Edition to download and sync to my iPad.
    I am trying to download the epub book to my Overdrive app (which is authorize to download epub books) on my iPad to read.
    Reply from Overdrive mentioned that this is Adobe server issue.
    Any advise anyone??

    I bought an iPhone 6 yesterday. I also bought a stereo dock that works with iPhone 5/5s. And a cord to connect iPhone 6 to USB port on my car stereo. No sound comes out of the stereo dock or car stereo. In Best Buy today, Sales Associate tried his iPhone 5 running iOS 8 on a stereo dock. It worked, but my iPhone 6 didn't. When will Apple fix this problem? Or is Apple pushing everyone to Bluetooth?

    The iPod feature that plays through USB in my car does not work with my iPhone 6 either.  I called AppleCare and they said that the car audio system will need a firmware update.  Don't know if Apple is just passing the buck, but that is what I was told.  Thank you for posting.  I know now that I am not the only one.  Thanks also for posting about the iPhone 5 running iOS 8.  I gave away my iPhone 5 to a friend so I wasn't sure whether this is an iOS 8 issue or an iPhone 6 issue and your experience seems to confirm that it is a problem with iPhone 6.  I guess I will just be using Bluetooth in my car, at least for now.

    What you have to do is a clean restore inside of iTunes. A backup is required just so your iPhone isn't erased.

    If the problem still happens, you need to setup your iPhone as a new device.

    Standard troubleshooting...
    1. Try a Restart by pressing the sleep/lock button until you see the slider.  Slide to power off.  Restart by pressing the sleep/lock button until you see the Apple logo.
    2. Try a Reset by pressing the home and sleep buttons until you see the Apple logo. Takes about 5-15 secs of button holding and you won't lose any data or settings.
    3. Remove apps from Recently Used (multi-tasking) list...
    - From any Home Screen, double tap the home button to bring up the Recents List
    - Swipe up on the app preview card to remove it from the list
    - Press the home button when done.
    4. If still a problem restore with your backup.
    5. If still a problem restore as new, i.e. without your backup. See how it runs with nothing synced to it.
    6. If still a problem, it's likely a hardware issue.

    Have you checked your mute switch (right above the volume buttons)? If you see orange, it is muted and will affect the rings, but not the audio on YouTube.
    Just toggle the switch so you don't see the orange and check again.
