Iphone 5c says its not charging, but it is ?

Last week there was a little peice of fluff in my charging port, and it ended up getting it out with the end of an earring, but since then when i plug my iphone in, it doesnt say its connected or charging, but over night it went from 11% to 50%. even now it still does slowly charge, but when i unplug it, it looses its battery faster than it did before. Any help please ?

If you have Mountain Lion installed version v10.8 open System Preferences > Security & Privacy then selec the Genreral tab.
Click the lock icon bottom left corner of the pane to make changes. You may be prompted for your admin password.
Select: Mac App Store and identified developers
Click the lock to prevent further changes.
Now try the App Store.
If you aren't sure which OS X is installed, click the Apple menu icon top left in your screen.
From the drop down menu click About This Mac.
You''ll the version number there.

It sounds like you have restrictions turned on on the device. Settings>General>Restrictions.

Specifically -
Resolving issues
If your battery doesn't charge, or if your device shows a low-battery image, black screen, or "accessory not supported" alert, follow these steps.
Inspect the connector at the bottom of the phone:
Make sure that there are no bent pins in the connector.
Make sure that the connector is free from debris.
If there are bent pins or debris, please contact Apple Support.
Otherwise, continue troubleshooting.
Make sure that the outlet you're using works.
Make sure that the Apple USB cable and Apple USB power adapter work.
Plug the device in to power and let it charge until your device turns on. This could take between 10 and 30 minutes. If you don't have an Apple USB power adapter, try connecting to a computer's high-power USB 2.0 port (not a keyboard). The computer must be on.
If the device still exhibits an issue, try turning your device off and then on again while connected to power.
If the issue persists, please contact Apple Support.

When i try to connect my iphone it says its not compatible and that i need to uninstall itunes and re-install the 64 bit version i have done this several times and it still keeps happening what do i need to do?

recently i tried to connect my phone to itunes and a mesage poped up saying that i needed the 64 bit version of itunes and that i should uninstall the current one and reinstall the correct version, i have now done this about 5 times and still i get the same message and i cannot sync my phoe whichwas very annoying as i was about to go on holiday any help would be greatly recieved!

If your iPhone is not charging while plugged into the wall adapter, then I'd like you to please follow the information outlined below to help resolve the issue.
If the battery doesn’t charge
If the battery doesn’t charge, unplug your device and try these steps:
Look at the connector at the bottom of your device and make sure it’s free of debris.
If you're using a USB power adapter, make sure it's plugged in all the way and the power outlet is working. If you're connecting to a computer, make sure it's on and can charge your device. To charge an iPad, you might need to use a USB power adapter and plug into a power outlet.
Try a different USB cable, USB power adapter, or USB port.
If everything seems to be working, reconnect your device and wait for 30 minutes.
If your device still doesn’t charge, try to restart it while it's connected to power. If you can't restart, reset your device.

It sounds to me like the charger that came with the iPhone 5 is defective, or the cable is if you've been switching the cables when you switch the chargers.

HT1476 If you have another charger for the iPod but not the original and you have it hooked up to your computer and the iPod is dead it has the little charging sign then it goes away and my computer says its not reconizable. Help me, please!
