IPhone 5C screen clicking when touched?:(

So I was excited about getting a new phone and I decided to stick with Apple and I got a yellow iPhone 5C. well I had it for a few months with the screen clicking and I thought it was no big deal then my screen popped off and I sent it into Apple repair and they sent me a replacement and now my replacement makes a clicking noise when I touch the screen in the top area, mainly the right side. Any suggestions, tips, etc..?

Thank you for using Apple Support Communities.
From what you describe it sounds like your iPhone may need to be evaluated. I would suggest taking a look at this page to explore your options.

  • IPhone 6 screen shakes when touching screen in apps

Whenever I use facebook or twitter or the mail app for example and I keep my finger touched on the device, the screen shakes. Anyone else have this? I have a 64 GB iPhone 6

In the last couple of weeks (and nothing has changed) - I noticed that my iPhone 6 will remain in landscape mode if I lift it up too quickly.  It's not frozen - but it's not detecting that it is upright.  The workaround seems to be lower the phone to a horizontal position and then lift it again - slowly - and that seems to restore the portrait mode.  I could understand if this started happening immediately after an update - but it did not - it started about 2 weeks ago.  Typically the app that I use in landscape mode (the most) is youtube.  I'm wondering if it is something with the YouTube app - but I don't recall any recent updates for it either.

  • I can no longer view my photos through th photo icon.  There is not an icon on my "slide to unlock" screen that when touched starts a slide show of my photos.  How do I turn that off so I can access my photos as before?

I do not see a way to disable the Picture Frame icon.  I looked at Settings-Picture Frame, but none of the options turns it off.  The only way I can thinik of, would be if all of your photos had been deleted.  If there were no photos, you couldn't have a slide show!
One thing to try is to reset (reboot) your iPad.  Hold both the Home and Sleep buttons for several seconds until the Apple logo appears.  Ignore the "Slide to power off" arrow.  The iPad will restart after a couple of minutes.  Resetting this way will not hurt anything, and sometimes clears up mysterious problems.

  • What does it cost and how do I replace my shattered IPhone 5 screen and the touch sensor under the glass?

What does it cost to replace my shattered IPhone 5 screen and the touch sensor under the glass?

It is not clear to me how far along this implementation has gonein the US and worldwide, but this seems to describe where it is going:

  • IPhone 6 screen clicking/bad glue - a widespread problem?

Ugraded to iPhone 6 in early November and within a week I started to notice a distinct clicking noise while/immediately after touching the screen.
To clarify, this was a noise being created by some hardware anomoly (it happens when the device is off.)
To be clear, I have BABIED this phone in ways that my 4s would have dreamed of.
It has never been dropped, sat on, spilled on.. I don't take it into the bathroom during showers or expose it to any extreme temperatures or humidity of any kind, apart from unavoidable use in the winter. I don't breath on it the wrong way! .
After a very breif search, it turns out that a whole lot of people are experiencing this issue.
SO, after about 4 hours on the phone with Apple total, I've had the device serviced twice.
FIrst by a certified Apple tech in my area, who cleaned the device for particulate that might be causing the problem (which he had apparently encountered before)
Unfortunately, this did nothing to help the issue.
I then drove 2 hours to the nearest Apple store. I was told that they had also seen this issue, and that it potentially had something to do with bad glue used in the screen.
I Personally don't know what particular way the glue is used.
After another couple of hours of waiting, they decided to do a full screen replacement, which the tech claimed solved the issue "like 100% of the time"
About 3 days went by before the issue started again, this time in a completely different area of the screen and much louder.
I'm definitely going to return and ask for a replacement phone, and I doubt that Apple will give me trouble there.
I guess I'm just deeply confused by how/why Apple is using such terrible construction practices in these new phones.
I REALLY want to like this phone, but this clicking makes me feel like i'm using my old blackberry storm, which I still consider to be the most disgusting/deeply funny encounter with mobile phone technology that I've ever had..
seems like when one of the chief reasons to buy an iPhone is elegance in its hardware, Apple probbaly should have done at least A LITTLE BIT of testing before shipping millions of units.
Does Apple ever address or change any of these glaring flaws? If this has happened to me twice, considering how well I have treated this phone, it must be happening all over and in huge numbers. What's most dissapointing is that I loved my iPhone 4s, it had super good construction and I really did beat the **** out of it.
I took it into the snow, rain, into the sauna, tossed it around, sat on it all day and dropped it countless times without any problems at all.
I guess I'm not necessarily looking for advice, since I'm already planning on returning for a new iPhone 6
However, my fear is that this will just happen again to the replacement. just trying to get a scale of how widespread this issue is and if it's even worth my time - since it sounds like it might just happen again.

I had this issue with my last iPhone 6 in the upper left corner.  Noticed it when I was playing games in landscape.  Screen sounded "tappy" and loose when hitting the D-pad control in that area.  I didn't really mind and didn't want to exchange again because I already went through several due to screen shadows, etc.  Eventually I started getting "ghost touches" where apps would open, things were getting clicked that I was not clicking (even after full restore and set device up as new).  Not sure if it's related but the only time I've ever experienced this was with an Android phone where the display was replaced and the ground wire was loose.  Apple replaced my unit however this new one still has a slightly loose upper left corner again.  Sometimes it switches to the bottom left and will make a click when I press hard in that area and release.  If it's tolerable for now you may want to hold off on replacement until later in the year while still inside the warranty.

Does any one has this problem? What should I do, I'm away from Canada for a couple of months and i'm not sure there are any Apple Stores in East Europe... I can't belive i bought a 800 $ phone that does this, it feels so cheap.

  • Screen jumps when touched

sometimes when using the iphone 5, when touching the screen in face book for example, the screen jumps up/down fast.

I always do that. the problem sometimes comes right back after I turn it on or will come back soon after. the issue is not always there but when it is, its very irritating

  • IPhone 5c screen clicking, middle left hand side.

My screen keeps popping out, can only hear it in very quiet conditions and then clicks when pressed and eventually goes back in. Only had the phone a week. Purchased the phone on contract through o2. Best taking it back to the Apple store? Will they replace or repair it?

Have you tried restarting or resetting your iPhone?
Restart: Press On/Off button until the Slide to Power Off slider appears, select Slide to Power Off and, after It shuts down, press the On/Off button until the Apple logo appears.
Reset: Press the Home and On/Off buttons at the same time and hold them until the Apple logo appears (about 10-15 seconds).
    No data will be lost.

  • Iphone 6 plus screen jumping when touched

Seems like since I updated my phone with the latest update the screen jumps all over the place. It is really becoming annoying. Also I have noticed that occasionally the screen scrolls all the way down leaving a black area at the top of the screen

    Hello there, Zara2aj.
When renting movies on your iOS device, the following Knowledge Base article explains where to locate it and the availability of that rental on other devices:
FAQs about renting movies from the iTunes Store - Apple Support
Where can I find movies that I rented?
Find your movie on the device you used to rent it. Follow these steps:
Mac or PC: Go to the Rentals tab in the Movies section of the iTunes Library.
iOS device: Go to the Rental tab of the Videos app.
    Apple TV:
2nd or 3rd generation: Look in the top shelf of the main menu.
1st generation: Go to Movies > Rented Movies.
Where can I watch movies that I rented?
    Mac or PC
iPhone, iPad, iPod touch (with iOS 3.1.3 or later)
iPod classic, iPod nano (3rd, 4th, or 5th generation)
    TV using Apple TV
Watch your movie on the device you used to rent it. If you rented the movie on your computer, you can move it to an iOS device or Apple TV (1st generation). To do this, connect the devices and sync using USB. When you move a rented movie from your computer, it will disappear from your computer’s iTunes library. You can move the movie between devices as much as you want, but you can only have it on one device at a time.
If you rented the movie on your iOS device or Apple TV, you can’t move it to any other device.
Thanks for reaching out to Apple Support Communities.
    Cheers,
    Pedro.

  • The lower right corner of my screen clicks when I press on it.

  • Got screen like when Touch is brand new...

when I turned it on. Hooking it up to iTunes got the home screen to appear, so thankfully I didn't need to restore the entire Touch. Is there any other method to get the Touch working if I'm not near my PC? I tried to hold both buttons for 5+ seconds to reset it when I got the "new Touch" screen, but all that did was shut it off.

    Try here:
Can't connect to the iTunes Store
Try changing he DNS to Google's 8.8.8.8

  • Screen fuzzy when touch is connected to TV

I purchased the apple cable to be able to watch my movies and such on my TV. When I connected it the sound comes through perfectly, but the pictures is very distorted and fuzzy. You cannot see the movie. What am I doing wrong, or what is wrong with my touch. ( I have only had my touch for less than a month)

I have done that already, as that was one of the first thoughts that I had. I alos wondered if it was my TV, but alas it is not. The only other thing I think that it may be is the Ipod itself. The slot where you plug it in is my thought. It syncs up and charges just fine, but the video out doesn't work.
