Iphone 5c suddenly requires activation
so my iphone 5c randomly went to the original activation required screen out of nowhere while i was using the facebook app.
ive owned the phone for a year now and nothing like this has happened before.
also in the top left of the screen there is no service, it is constantly searching.
ive tried turning of and on again - no luck
ive tried activating it via wifi but it wont work, it says something about the server being down or something
so i cant do anything
help me
It would almost seem like your SIM card shorted out since a SIM is needed for activation
Can you pop it out presuming you are on a GSM carrier and check with another SIM?

I have had the phone for a year and I pulled it out of my pocket and that's what it said. I tried to reactivate it but it didn't work. I talked with someone at Apple and they said they have received a whole bunch of calls about this today. They were not able to help me. I am trying to do it through iTunes but not sure what to do. I don't want to restore as it is not backed up recently enough. Took a bunch of pictures today.
It's because you were on the iOS 6 beta, which just expired. You'll need to get the final 6.0 release from the developer iOS portal and install it manually.

I have an iphone 3gs which was working fine with my orange livebox but my son did a router factory reset resulting in his iphone now networked but mine now is " unable to join network " have tried everything I think, changed to wpa,reset ios and networks but same message. Anyone any ideas ?

So I've been using my IPhone 5 for many months now.
I'm a developer and did install beta versions of iOS 7 but
lately when I've gone to update it says I am up to date.
Anyway today sudenly my phone is saying it needs activating
and keeps going in circles.
*** is going on, Apple you are so sh*t this phone cost in excess of
£500 and now I get this, what is going on.
Please help

I had been using iPhone4s with microcell but after upgrading to iPhone5s, there wasn't any mIcrocell connectivity (tried turning off and on several times - success). Finally, When I disconnected microcell and deactivated and reactivated again through ATT website (takes 15 to 20 mins), the firmware (to support iphone5s) I believe gets updated automatically and now it has started working - my iphone5s shows the Microcell connectivity and seems to be working! worth giving a shot if you are still facing Microcell connectivity issue using iphone5s.

pls help my iphone 4 was on activation "required". i jailbroke it then it worked but some of the applications were crashing down,won't open. i tried a lot of tutorials and then error message 3194 came out. stucked in recovery mode,and then i use snowbreeze and then it worked!!!! but another problem came, i turned off my iphone then i switched it on again then it stucked in apple logo,.after doing some thing again 1604, 1600 bla bla bla came out..pls help me fix my iphone.
no help for jailbroken phones here-it's not allowed. good luck.

Do as it says and restore your phone at this point there is no data on your phone. If you have a backup of your phone you can restore to that backup.

I currently have the iphone using imei is 013428003820386. I'm using normal. When I plug the phone into the laptop to copy the photos to your computer system requires update to the latest version. I agree to the machine but when the update requires activation by icloud account. I logged in with my account but still not activated and security. My account is being used to send mail me this log. I have a new device. When selecting the language and country I am trying to connect to a wifi connection and getting the error 'Your Iphone could not be activated because the activation server cannot be reached. Try connecting to your Iphone to iTunes to activate it, or try again in a few minutes.
Where exactly did you get this phone?
Do you have a SIM in the phone?
There are 2 primary causes for this.
Either you don't have a SIM in the phone, which is REQUIRED to activate it, or the phone was hacked to unlock it. -
I made upgrade for IOS to 7.04 but my iphone is second hand and when iphone need to make activation ,i don't have the apple ID so my iphone didn't work from this time so please help me urgent.

You need to return the Device for a refund, as you will not be able to re-activate it. -
2 errors: "Your iPhone could not be activated because the activation server is temporarily unavailable" and the sim says "searching" while iTunes says there is "No Sim installed" - but of course, there is! Any help please??

Thank you for the note - I have seen similar replies on other posting errors and I see how that could make sense. The thing is, my iPhone is not jailbroken - it is from an authorized distributor. However, when I told them about the "no service" problem on the sim, they were unable to assist. Then my phone messaged that an itunes restore was required - so I did that, several times, to the error message now noted on my post. I wonder if there is some other way to over-write this message? Thanks very much. -
Have downloaded 5s iPhone. Instructions for activating iCloud gives wrong email address to verify account. How can I get around this problem and get my phone set up with iCloud

IPhone 3GS stuck on activation screen after updating to iOS 6.13

I have updates my iPhone 3GS to iOS 6.13 and it got stuck in the activation mode.
I went to see Apple Genius and was told that my phone has locked itself to O2 simcard only.
I contacted O2 and my iPhone has just been unlocked.
however, when I try to finish the activation it still keeps failining with the message when I use WiFi:
"could not activate iPhone, your iPhone could not be activated because the activation server is temporarily unavailable."
When I try through iTunes, it says: "we're sorry, we are unable to continue with your activation at this time"
Next available appointments at near apple stores are only mid-week..
any advice on what should I do?

The most common reason for activation issues is due to the device being hacked or jailbroken. If this is the case, no support can be provided here and Apple will not touch the device. -

Yes, Once the iPhone 4S was released, Apple re-released the 4 in 8gig. They've just done the same thing with the 4S.
If the problem is SMS, he should contact his carrier. If it's iMessage, does he have a data connection? I'd really need more information, though.
What is the problem, iMessage, SMS or both? Is there an active data connection? Has he contacted his carrier to confirm his account is still set up properly? What error messages is he getting? Have you tried resetting your device by pressing and holding the Home button and power button until the silver apple appears?
