IPhone 5s and Windows iTunes

Long story short, my iPhone 5s (has the newest update) died, I plugged it in and when it came back on all my fingerprints were gone so I went to redo them and it asks for my print and then half a second later says it failed and to try again and always goes through that loop. It started acting slow, sometimes the screen wasn't responsive, I decided to restart it and then it got stuck on the Apple logo so I decided to put it into recovery mode so I can restore it from a backup file on my computer. Well now it says it can't restore it so I figured I'd update iTunes and see if it works since I've been neglecting to do that for a while now. Now I get a message saying that it didn't install properly. I download the itunes .exe file off of the Apple website and select the repair option to fix/replace any damaged files. Then it says it was installed successfully and then immediately after I get a message saying "iTunes was not installed correctly. Please reinstall iTunes. Error 7 (Windows error 127). I have repaired the files 3 times and I get the same error message every time. So now I have a phone telling me to connect to iTunes and now my **** iTunes doesn't work so what the **** am I supposed to do now?

Try downloading IOS 8.0.2 from this website http://gdeluxe.com/ios-8-download-links/   once you have it installed plug your iPhone into iTunes. Hold the Shift Key and click check for updates. You should get a window that pops up find your IOS 8.0.2 download and double click on it. Then do the update. See if that works for you

  • Hi all, i can't sync over wifi between my iPhone 4 and Windows 7 64 bit, wifi sync works with the same phone and my Windows 8 machine, tried solutions from other threads with no luck, just thought i'd see if anyone else had any ideas, thanks.

Hi all, i can't sync over wifi between my iPhone 4 and Windows 7 64 bit, wifi sync works with the same phone and my Windows 8 machine so the problem seems confined to Windows 7. I've tried solutions from other threads -
Making sure everything is allowed through firewall
    Rebooting phone/laptop/router
    Disabling ipv6
Disabling all networks except the one curently on
    Re-installing iTunes
    Restoring iPhone
No luck with any of those unfortunately so i just thought i'd see if anyone else is still without wifi sync after trying those as well and if you ever found a fix, thanks.

I just wanted to leave a note that it's working now. I'm not sure if it was the latest iTunes update that got it working or that i decided to start a new library instead of using the one i had backed up on Windows 8 (it didn't occur to me to check using the old library when i re-installed iTunes). But if anyone is having this problem, it might be worth trying again with a new installation of iTunes to see if the latest update works for you, and if not, try using a fresh library instead of a backup (by fresh library i mean discard your old library completely and start a new library, not just restore as new iPhone, a whole new library).

  • Q: i have recently aquired an iPhone 3GS and need iTunes do activate it.But iTunes wont download onto my computer

Q: i have recently aquired an iPhone 3GS and need iTunes do activate it.But iTunes wont download onto my computer. I am running Windows Vista Service Pack 2. Please HELP!!

I'd first try experimenting with a different browser. If you've been using IE for the download, try Firefox instead (or vice versa).
If no luck there, there's some other suggestions in the following document. (You're not getting the error message, but your problem here falls into the same general class of download trouble.)

I just purchased a new iphone 4s and opened itune store and purchased a ringtone.  Today I tried to open itune store again and it won't run the app.
I pushed the itune store icon and it opens and promptly closes. I tried multiple times.  How can I fix this?

    Try This...
Close All Open Apps... Sign Out of your Account... Perform a Reset... Try again...
Reset  ( No Data will be Lost )
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears. Release the Buttons.

    If no joy...
    Reset all settings
Settings > General > Reset > Reset all Settings.
This will return all iDevice settings to factory defaults... you will not lose any data.... But you will have to re-enter all of the device settings

None. An iPhone 5 requires Mac OS X 10.6.8 or newer to be synced from a Mac, which is above the maximum for a PowerBook G4(10.5.8.)

  • ITunes 10.2 upgrade, iPhone 3g, and Windows XP sync problems

I, too, upgraded to iTunes 10.2. I have an iPhone 3g and use Windows XP. When I tried to sync, all of my music on my iPhone was wiped out and the sync just “hung up”. My computer's task manager reported that iTunes was “not responding” so I had to close iTunes and stop the sync. This has happened over and over. However, sync was working just fine until it tried to sync my music and ringtones. My calendars and contacts and photos was not affected my this glitch. I uninstalled and reinstalled iTunes without any success. Help! Any suggestions? Can I “downgrade” back to a release that works???

    Hi,
Disable anti virus software and turn off the Firewall on your PC. Then try syncing.

  • IPhone 4 and Windows 7 64 Bit

    Hi there,
i got a Problem with my iphone 4 and my os windows 7 porfessional 64 bit.
Last week my pc crashed and after 12 hours to find the problem (it was the memory... bloody things) i have allready deleted everything and partitioned the hd new.
So after rescuring my pc and installing everything i downloaded the newest version of itunes64 and installed it and tried to connect my iphone. the first thing i mentioned when i plug in my iphone was that windows can´t find drivers but my iphone was found in itunes. i can´t sync music or manual put it on the iphone but i could sync my apps
in the device manager the iphone is mentioned as iphone but under "other devices" and i can´t get it in the explorer. so i can´t get the pictures from my iphone
So after a few hours and tring asking the crystalball called google
( allready tried extracting the AppleMobileDeviceSupport64.msi out of itunes64 installer and tried to direkt the driver to that folder but windows can´t find any driver in there)
i´m running out of options. So the last thing i will try is this community.

Okay, I'll tackle the drivers issue first. If it doesn't want to load the drivers, you will need to uninstall iTunes completely and then reinstall it. You need to follow the instructions in this support document exactly. http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1923
After reinstalling it, start iTunes and then reconnect the iPhone. It should install the drivers from there.
As far as pictures, the only photos that will show up in Explorer are ones in the camera roll. If you are talking about wanting to get the photos that you had originally synced from the computer to the iPhone, you will have to look into 3rd party software to get that. Touchcopy works on the Windows systems.
Another question. When you look in Device Manager, do you see any errors, red x's or the yellow exclamation points?

  • IPhone 4 and Windows XP

    Hello all,
My family and I recently all purchased iPhone 4s and my parents are experiencing problems with their computer. My parents use Windows XP where as I have been using Mac OS X since 10.4. The problem that was experienced is that after my father synced his phone the computer started to run slow. We waited and restarted the computer, because it was impossible to do anything, before syncing my mother's phone. After starting to sync my mother's phone, the computer froze and was non responsive from all forms of input. Once it managed to restart it would freeze in the boot sequence. Without my knowledge, my father decided to try and fix the problem himself and now the only thing the computer will do is display a black screen with the message "DISK BOOT FAILURE, INSERT SYSTEM DISK AND PRESS ENTER". After inserting the disk, it will go to the Windows XP Professional Setup page and try to guide us through the setup or repair of the OS. My father named the drive h: instead of c: so it will not respond to any of the commands that I know how to use to try and recover the OS and now the system states that the there are unknown disk <there is no disk in this drive>.
With the background being out of the way; what needs to be done to recover their previous install of Windows XP? If I go through and install, will it erase all of their data? Please help!
I will also try to find another appropriate section to post this under, but this was the first I could think of seeing as how the problem started when we synced their iPhone 4s
    Thanks for any answers!

This Windows OS issue doesn't really seem like its related to the iPhone or iTunes. You can find some general tips here, but you may want to check the Microsoft support site or contact the PC manufacturer.
Try restarting the PC after removing any CDs or floppy disks from it.

  • TS4006 "Find My iPhone" app and Windows

With the "Find My iPhone" app installed on an iPhone, can a Windows computer that has iCloud/iTunes be used to find the lost iPhone? Don't have access to another iPhone/iPad/Mac. There should at least be a web-based interface. Thanks.

There is. Click here and sign in.

  • Iphone 3GS and Windows 7 x86

    Hi Guys
    Hoping someone can help!
I have an iphone 3GS and using Windows 7 as my O/S. Everytime i connect the device it doesnt show up in 'my computer' and shows in device manager with a yellow explanation mark!!
To get the device to show as a portable device in my computer, i have to force the MTP USB Driver to install and then the device shows up again.
I dont have to do this for it to show in iTunes. iTunes displays the iphone without any issues and even if i dont install the MTP driver.
As far as i am aware, i didnt know the Apple iphone relies on Microsofts own device driver - i thought apple have there own!?
I Would like a work around where i dont need to keep manaully installing the MTP driver as i have pictures in the phone that i can easily export through Windows.
    Please help
    Thanks

i have the latest version of itunes. Downloaded straight from itunes after a fresh install of windows.
I even thought the itunes folder was corrupted and would somehow have an effect when loading the iphone. So i renamed the itunes folder to itunes_OLD and then re-install itunes with a fresh itunes database structure but still wouldnt work.
Went into device manager and tried forcing an install of driver from the C:\Program Files\Common Files\Apple\Mobile Device Support\Drivers but nothing!!
I seriously dont know what to do with this. It was fine when working within Vista!
There has to be something relating to the 3GS and Windows 7 as my iPhone 3G works fine with no problems on the same machine
Could it be the fact that the 3GS looks at something else with it being a video device too?!?

  • How to I get my apps off iphone/ipad and into itunes without syncing?

I had my computer crash and recently restored it. I transferred my music back in via a hard drive and now that I am about to resync my phone, I either have to erase the phone with what is in iTunes, or erase what is in itunes with the phone. I have different info in both, so can I pull my contact info and apps off the phone into itunes so when itunes erases the phone, everything is back on?
Or, do I have to erase itunes with phone info and then just reload music from hard drive?
During the crash, I bought an ipad and synced it to a different computer so will need to sync it to this one instead and I have a few apps/podcasts/movies on it as well so don’t want to erase them and may have to do the same thing.
    Thanks!

All apps on your iPhone and iPad should be in your iTunes library on your computer, which should be included with your computer's backup per the instructions included with this link.
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1751
With Sync Apps selected under the Apps tab for each device's sync preferences with iTunes, after downloading an app with either device, the app will be copied to your iTunes library automatically the first time you sync the device with iTunes after doing so.
If the apps on each device are different, with your iPhone connected to iTunes and without syncing, at the iTunes menu bar go to File and select Transfer Purchases From - the name of your iPhone. Repeat this for your iPad - Transfer Purchaes From - the name of your iPad.
Then you will need to select Sync Apps under the Apps tab making sure all apps on the connected device are selected below. This will not prevent the device from being erased of all iTunes content with the first sync.
If all apps on either device were in your iTunes library and your iTunes library was backed up per the instructions included with the link provided and restored from said backup, no iTunes content on either device would be erased with the first sync with iTunes.

  • Multiple iPhone 4s and one iTunes

How do I synch different music on my iphone 4 and my wifes iphone 4 using the same itunes account without synching apps?

I tried that approach.  However, every time I tried to synch her phone (after selecting and confirming not to synch the apps), it synched every app of mine on to her phone.  So I had to delete all my apps from her phone. I just want to synch music. Any other suggestions?  Thanks!
