Iphone 5S doesn't complete the IOS 8.0.2 upgrade and doesn't turn on

Hi everyone,
I decided to upgrade to the 8.0.2 via wi-fi. Suddenly, the Itunes and the usb cable symbols appeared on the screen, indicating that they should be connected.
Then the Itunes on my mac reported that an iphone in the recovery mode was detected and it would be necessary to recover it. I did it but it's still showing the symbols and doesn't turn on. Please help.

Use iTunes on any computer to restore your iPhone. Your data
will be gone, but your iPhone will be functioning. You can restore
when you get home.

My iPhone 4s will not complete the most recent download of the iOS 7 too. It accomplishes about 20% and freezes. I have tried resetting several times. Same result. The phone is for all intents and purposes locked up on the download screen. Has anyone else had this problem.? And how was it solved? An online search shows nothing regarding this problem.

There’s nothing to fix. iOS 8 requires a dual-core processor, which the iPhone 4 doesn’t have and can’t be upgraded to include.

I figure it out. Somehow, in my Advanced settings, password was somehow "de-selected" as my Authentication setting in Incoming Selections. I re-selected it, and now everything is back to normal...

I believe you will find you can again sync Photos if you delete the "iPod Photo Cache", but predict that any subsequent attempt will fail. In my case, the enxt sync removes all the photos again - I've seen other reports of error messages upon sync. Mine just fails silently. :-)

Has anyone else's iPhone battery been ruined by the IOS 8.2 update?

When fully charged I get about 5hrs in idle mode before the battery dies. When actively using, I'm lucky to get 1hr. I've changed all my settings to use as little battery as possible as suggested by many a website. I've also spent an hour on chat to an Apple 'Genius' who basically went through the settings with me. Also it now takes forever to charge my 5s. All was working fine, quick charge and decent battery life, before I updated to 8.2.
