IPhone 5s doesn't display photo albums?

Just upgraded to the 5s. Phone seems to be syncing fine.
Photo's reside in a specific folder on an external hard drive. They appear on the phone under 'photos' tab in Photos app.
However, the albums do not appear under the albums tab as they did on my previous phone, an iPhone 5.
In addition iTunes is saying that I have 1062 photos on my iPhone. The folder I am syncing with only has 652 and I only have 40 or so in the camera folder?
Can anyone help? Very confused by this.

It look sas if it was the cache folder. I deleted it and on the next sync the albums reappeared. Still no explanation on the count of photos though. Still has over 1000 as the number on the status bar in iTunes but there are not 1000 photos on my phone.

Photo albums are not searched by Spotlight Search. Go to Settings > General > Spotlight Search to see and reorder the available search items.

IPad doesn't display correct album art

I could really use some help here, I am at the end of my rope. I have HomeSharing on so that my iPads and iPhones will play music and movies from our iTunes library. I have an iPhone 5, an iPhone 4S, an iPad 4 and (2) iPad 2 models. Both iPhones and the iPad 4 will display the correct album art in the movies but the iPad 2's scramble up the album art. For instance on the iPad 4 shows the Aladdin album art where it says Aladdin is but on the iPad 2 (both of them) it will display random album art. So you'll be looking at a picture of Bug's Life but the line states that the movie is Aladdin. Now when you select that movie and it enters the info page where the play button is, the album art comes up correctly. It's just in the title screen or selection screen this happens. Then to add to that, the music and music videos all displays fine, the correct album art every time. For some reason, this is only happening in the movies. And again, only happening on the iPad 2's. There is no issue with the newer iPad or the iPhones. So is this a setting that is goofed? A software issue that I can't resolve? I would appreciate any input you can provide, especially if you can help me fix this!!
FYI, the iPad 2's are my daughter's so I have the PG restriction on making sure that they can't watch anything PG-13 or over. Although it won't display a PG-13 or over movie, it will display the album art (for instance it will show Hills Have Eyes instead of Aladdin although the text shows Aladdin and again, if you click on it the correct album art shows Aladdin in the info screen). I thought maybe the restrictions were the problem so I shut them off but that didn't resolve the issue.

Me Too. Glad to hear I'm not alone in this...
I can't explain it. All my songs show the correct art in iTunes but it's often mismatched on the Nano. I've noticed that selecting a problem track in iTunes, get info and clicking "ok" on the already correct art, sometimes corrects the issue (for that one track) on the Nano after the next sync.. but not always.
p.s. Other posts say "restore" is the answer. I'll try that tonight.

IPhoto doesn't display photos in iPhoto Library

Recently had to purchase a new Macbook to replace damaged Powerbook G4. Had used Backup to protect all my data. Downloaded Backup onto the new computer and restored all my files including the photo collection. My new version of iPhoto 08 will not display any of my previous library from iPhoto 6. I understand that iPhoto does not automatically import photos from backup so I've tried the option of selecting a library when opening iPhoto but still no pictures appear. The iPhoto library in the pictures folder shows it contains 30GB , which is about right since I have RAW files. Either I'm not doing something right or the files might be corrupted and I've lost my photos. Help!

What’s most likely here is that the library DB is damaged and that the photos are perfectly fine.
Try these in order - from best option on down...
1. Do you have an up-to-date back up? If so, try copy the library6.iphoto file from the back up to the iPhoto Library allowing it to overwrite the damaged file.
2. Download iPhoto Library Manager and use its rebuild function. This will create a new library based on data in the albumdata.xml file. Not everything will be brought over - no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your albums and keywords back.
Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one.
3. If neither of these work then you'll need to create and populate a new library.
To create and populate a new *iPhoto 6* library:
Note this will give you a working library with the same Rolls and pictures as before, however, you will lose your albums, keywords, modified versions, books, calendars etc.
Move the iPhoto Library to the desktop
Launch iPhoto. It will ask if you wish to create a new Library. Say Yes.
Go into the iPhoto Library on your desktop and find the Originals folder. From the Originals folder drag the individual Roll Folders to the iPhoto Window and it will recreate them in the new library.
When you're sure all is well you can delete the iPhoto Library on your desktop.
In the future, in addition to your usual back up routine, you might like to make a copy of the library6.iPhoto file whenever you have made changes to the library as protection against database corruption.

Photo page not displaying photo albums

I have a domain with Yahoo!, and I'm using .Mac to host the domain and iWeb to publish the content. My photos page isn't loading properly. When I go to the web.mac.com address, the photos page loads fine, and all the albums are visible. However, when I access the photos page from the hosted domain name, the page background and title load, but the albums are not visible.

AJAX failed during requesting assets in streamloader, by looking at the source code I can see that streamloader is pointing back to your .mac site. It's a security issue, AJAX script can not request cross domain.
Question: did you publish to your .mac? and then mount idisk and upload your .mac site to your baukol site?
You can do one of these two:
1) publish to a folder and upload it to you baukol site (duplication of the two sites).
2) or forward baukol site to your .mac site (no duplication, only .mac).

Photo page doesn't display photos????

my first attempt at updating my site in iWeb 09 and I'm stumped.
I added new photos to my photo page - but the page comes up blank in my website.
(I published to my local folder and then uploaded to my server with Fetch)
Curiously, when I click the "visit" safari icon INSIDE of the iWeb app, I'm taken to a page that DOES display the photos... but the page has a slightly different url.
The functioning page's url has: my domain/THE "LOCAL"NAME OF MY SITE/selected page.
My old site url only contained my domain followed by the selected page of the site.
Somehow iWeb 09 has altered the url????
Any suggestions/thoughts?

IPhone Original doesn't download photos since 2.0

Hey all,
Has anyone else had problems downloading photos [iPhoto, imageCapture, etc] since installing 2.0? It seems that the only photos that are recognized by my computer were shot prior to 2.0.
I've been emailing myself photos as a backup, but it's immensely inconvenient [especially as we still can't email more than one photo at a time].
Anybody?

While I have not attempted to sync any photos since upgrading my iPhone to 2.0, I have noticed that there is now a long delay when launching the camera. At least in my case I am referring to the length of time it takes the aperture for the camera open. This also holds true when taking pictures- in that the aperture has a longer pause between snapshots. Has anyone else experienced this, or perhaps someone is aware of a way to manipulate the aperture performance?

Windows 8.1 Photos app doesn't display photos from Home Server V1 network drive

I have my photos stored on a Home Server V1 network drive (\\homeserver\photos) and I have added the drive to the Pictures library. When I open the library in desktop Explorer I can see all the photos
and my Photos live tile shows photos from the network drive. When I open the Photos app I can see all the folders. However, when I open a folder I get the message 'There are no files or folders in this view.'
Any help is appreciated.
I am running Windows 8.1 with the latest updates.

Adding another voice to this - I hit exactly the same issue myself yesterday. I haven't got the device with me now, but as the original poster says:
I have \\server\photos mapped to my p:\ drive in Windows 8.1, and this is in my pictures library.
The p:\ drive has many (100s) subfolders, which I can browse using Windows explorer and desktop apps like Picasa.
When I start the "photos" app, I see all my folders (each with a thumbnail picture), but when I click into a folder I just get the "There are no files or folders in this view".
It's probably worth saying that as this is Home Server v1, I had a bit of fun and games to get permissions right to access the share:
I log into Windows 8.1 (on a Surface Pro 3) using my Microsoft account
I've mapped the home server photo drive to "P:\" on my SP3; when I did this I provided the admin user ID and password for the home server and told windows to remember the credentials.
I added p:\ to my pictures library in Windows 8.1 on the SP3.
FWIW - I use a similar mechanism to add music from my home server to my music library, but the XBox Music app seems to be able to see individual tracks OK.
Any ideas?

The problem is, that you obviously upgraded to iCloud Drive which cannot be changed again. This means that if you would downgrade your devices again, that you would lose access to your files from your Mac + your iOS devices.
At the moment, until OS X Yosemite will be released, you should be able to access your files via your Mac at the www.cloud.com at least.

How to delete a photo album from iPhone using a new hard drive & a later version of iTunes

I'm using the same computer but with a new hard drive and a later version of iTunes. I previously loaded a photo folder from my PC to my iPhone, but I inadvertently did it twice, giving each folder a different name -- "Photo Library," and "Widget Photo Folder." Of course, I also have the "Camera Roll" folder on my iPhone. I now want to delete either the "Photo Library" or the "Widget Photo Folder" from my iPhone. On iTunes in the Photo tab, I don't have the option of deselecting the folder in my PC that I previously synced. Apparently, iTunes recognizes that the privious sync was not done with the new hard drive? How, then, do I remove one of the photo folders from the iPhone?

You CANNOT delete photo album. ALL pics synced to iphone are oin photo library. Those exact same photos, NOT duplicates, can be accessed from the individual albums.
This is how Apple handles photos.
Just as a song is in a playlist and in the library ( there is only one song, simply two ways to access it), photos are in the library and the same photos can be accessed from the album.

It isn't possible to create albums on or with the iPhone.
You can create photo albums on your computer by creating and naming a folder, and then place the designated photos on your computer within the folder.
Create a primary/parent folder that will contain only folders than contain photos.
Select this parent folder under the Photos tab for your iPhone sync preferences and then sync.
If you haven't already done so, you need to transfer all photos captured by your iPhone to your computer and then delete the captured photos from your iPhone after being successfully transferred to your computer. If you want any of these photos available on your iPhone for viewing, you can place the photos in a folder or folders that are transferred from your computer to your iPhone via the iTunes sync/transfer process.

CD cover not displaying in Album List view

A couple of my CDs cover art doesn't display in Album List view (second button from left of the 4).
However the art is definitely there. If I click any song in the CD, the art shows in the lower left, "Now Playing"
Or if I select a song and then CMD + I the art shows in Summary and in Artwork tabs just like
all my other CDs.
I own the physical CD and ripped it and imported into iTunes and then scanned the art, saved
as .jpg and then selected all the tracks, clicked CMD + I and pasted into the Artwork square in
the Info page.
I've done this same process TONS of times so I am at a loss why this is happening or how to
fix it.

Its the Allman Bros live at the Fillmore. 2 CD set. I have different art and names for each.
At Fillmore East (CD1)
At Fillmore East (CD2)
and then the front cover for CD1 and a scan of the back of the CD cover for CD2, so all is different. Except the band name.
I deleted the art for each song and first imported to all the songs of each CD at one time. Each song had the art but the display of the whole CD still didn't display as before.
Deleted the art in each song one at a time, then this time Added the art to each song one at a time. Same problem. The art is 500 px at 72 dpi. I also tried saving the art as .png. Still didn't work. Ugh.
Now... you're suggesting that I trash the Album Artwork folder. Since I've imported manually about 100 CDs that iTunes didn't recognize, won't I lose all this work?
