IPhone 5s iCloud drive option not showing

Hi, I wonder if anyone could help.
I have updated my iPhone 5s to iOS 8 but  don't have the option to enable or disable the icloud under Settings > iCloud is anyone having the same issue? I do have the option on my iPad.
i Appreciate the response.

Same here. 5s ios8.1 and no visible iCloud Drive Option. Same on 4s with 8.1
Pages and Numbers are not able to find any document. The switch in its settings will always switch back to off after first use of the app.

  • ICloud Drive Folder not showing up in Finder

Hi, I have a Macbook Air (2013) and I'm running the most up to date BETA Version of OS X Yosemite. I read somewhere that is is essentially the exact same as the newly released Yosemite. My iCloud Drive Folder is NOT showing up in my favorites in Finder. I can only access iCloud Drive when I open up Finder and then click on the "Go" button in the menubar. How can I add the iCloud Drive folder to "Favorites" in Finder??? I've read it should automatically be there but it's not. Any help would be MUCH APPRECIATED!

iCloud drive will not show in your "Devices" section, but in the Favourites.
Your "Favourites" are hidden.  Move the pointer to the right of the word "Favorites" to reveal the hidden Hide/Show controls and unhide them.  iCloud Drive will not show as a drive, but like a cloud.

  • ICloud drive option not in settings

    Hi,
i'm having problems with iCloud drive. When I go to settings then iCloud i don't have the option to turn on or off iCloud drive. For some reason it disappeared. I need it to use my iWork applications!
    THank you!

Ok this led me to investigating every single option in Settings and I found the cause of this.
I have my work e-mail on my phone along with some other work related apps. This also comes with a set of policies. In my case my companies device policy restricts the use of iCloud Drive and Photo Stream. You can check the policies and the corresponding restrictions in Settings > General > Profiles & Device Management.

I have the same problem - it is maddening. I rely on this iPad for work so this is not just an annoyance! The above solutions of changing the appleid on the device or on the website do not work.
The old email address no longer exists - I haven't used it in a year probably and I no longer have the account.  I logged into the appleid website and there is no trace of the old email address so there is nothing that can be deleted or changed there.  On the iPad there is no trace of the old email address so nothing can be deleted there either. I have updated the iPad software and the same problem comes right back.  Every 2 seconds I am asked to log in using the old non-existent email.  The device is currently useless.
The only recent change to anything was the addition of an Apple TV device, which was set up using the correct login and password.
Does anyone have any ideas? The iPad has been backed up to the iCloud so presumably it now won't recognize the current iCloud account? So restoring may notbe an option?

  • Why is the airdrop and airplay option not showing in my iphone 4s ?

airdrop and airplay option not showing

That link is addressing only iOS 7 in general, not the iPhone 4S specifically. I have already answered your question here: airdrop and airplay option not showing iPhone 4S, iOS 7.1.2. It is the same answer as what wjosten have provided in this post. Air Drop is compatible with iPhone 5 and later.

  • HT4759 My iPad was lost. I am using the Find my iPhone app, but it is not showing there (though the iPhones, even one that is not iCloud enabled, is). What can I do?

My iPad was lost today. I am using the Find My iPhone app, but it is not showing on the device list or the map (though my iPhones, even one that is not iCloud enabled, is). What can I do?

The only thing you might do is enable Lost Mode, which will allow you to set a passcode on it (as well as a message and phone number where you can be reached) so it will be locked when and if it does go online.  You can also receive an email informing you if it goes online so you can track it on icloud.com.  See http://help.apple.com/icloud/#mmfc0f0165.
In the meantime, you may want to change your passwords.

  • ICloud Drive Doesn't Show Any Other Folders

Hello, today when I opened up pages to edit a file, I noticed that I couldn't access it on my iPhone. I went to Pages (the folder in iCloud Drive) and it looked as if it was uploaded. I then went to a new finder window and went to iCloud Drive. It shows nothing but one folder I created to store other files. Why can't I access any other file and why won't they upload?

Update: it seems as if any documents on my iPhone are also not being uploaded. How can I get these to sync?

  • Why can I only see iCloud Drive and not iCloud in Finder?

Why can I only see iCloud Drive and not iCloud in Finder? The latter is not available either under Favourites or Menu>Go>...
After a clean install of Yosemite 10.10.3 on a MacBook Pro, I chose not to upgrade from iCloud to iCloud Drive because it would break syncing with my iPhone 4. My docs are still visible in iCloud, according to System Preferences. I can access them on my iPad but I not from my MacBook Pro. Calendars and Contacts sync ok.
I tried logging out of iCloud, rebooting and logging back in, but that did not remedy the problem.
    What's gone wrong?

Just so I'm clear. You have enabled iCloud Drive in your iCloud preferences:
Now, in your Finder's sidebar you still do not see the iCloud Drive showing. In the Finder's preferences is it checked:

No app on the iPod is required.
    - If you previously turned on FIndMyiPod on the iPod in Settings>iCloud and wifi is on and connected, on a computer browser go to iCloud: Find My iPhone, sign in and go to FIndMyiPhone. If the iPod has been restored it will never show up or conbtinue to show off-line.
    - You can also wipe/erase the iPod and have the iPod play a sound via iCloud.
    iCloud: Erase your device
    iCloud: Use Lost Mode
    - If not shown/shown off, then you will have to use the old fashioned way, like if you lost a wallet or purse.
    - Change the passwords for all accounts used on the iPod and report to police
    - There is no way to prevent someone from restoring the iPod (it erases it) using it unless you had iOS 7 on the device. With iOS 7, one has to enter the Apple ID and password to restore the device.

  • External Hard Drive does not show up in Finder

My external hard drive is not showing up in Finder.
It shows up in Disc Utility, but I do not have access to it. I have tried the following:
    command-shift c, nothing happens
confirmed in Preferences/General that external hard drive was checked
    tried another cable
tried another port on the back of the external drive
tried to connect through the USB port
    re-started, etc.

I have same problem after installing OS 10.5.8. Disk utility sees the hard drive, the computer does not. Disk utility says invalid node structure. Volume check failed. Filesystem verify or repair failed.
That means the directory is corrupt. If you have a heavy-duty 3rd-party disk repair app, such as +Disk Warrior,+ it may be able to fix it. Otherwise, your only option is to erase and reformat the disk. They're not cheap -- Disk Warrior is about $100. And for Leopard, you need version 4.1.1 or 4.2.
I have not been able to figure out how to start a new topic here, but did find this discussion, which fits me fairly close.
Just above the list of topics, on the left, is a +Post New Topic+ option.

  • After security update my hard drive will not show

G4 Tower - Mac OS X - 733mhz.. After a security update 2 days ago i can not get my computer to boot. It comes up to the gray apple screen and just sits there. I put the install dvd in and went to disk utilities, but the hard drive does not show up at all. I tried to boot the computer in target mode from my laptop. It goes into target mode, but the drive never shows up on the screen. I put disk warrior in the laptop and launched it, and it seen the drive as a firewire drive, but the only option was to rebuild. I have a lot of info on the drive, and am hoping that I do not have to go to that extreme. Please help...

I think you are misunderstanding what disk Warrior will do, and how it does its magic. Disk Warrior is a wonderful, powerful, tool and works well for many people. When it suggests a ReBuild, it is saying your drive is recognized and intact enough to attempt to construct a new (proposed) Directory.
It will scavenge all the information it can find from every possible source (including the existing Directory) and build a new (proposed) Directory of all your recoverable files. If the damage is not severe, nearly all your files will be included in the new (proposed) Directory.
It then lists the differences between the new (proposed) Directory files compared to the old (existing) Directory files, and invites you to look at them side-by-side, if you like. ONLY if you approve, will it replace your old damaged Directory with the new (proposed) one. If you choose not to replace your old Directory, it just quits and nothing is changed on your Drive.

  • Hard drive (internal) not showing up on desktop

One of my internal hard drives is not showing up on the desktop. (Soft freeze after waking from sleep mode. I pushed the reset button on the front of the tower. Haven't seen anything on that hard drive since. I haven't been able to access it since.)
Hard drive shows up in disk utility but I can't mount it. Looks something like this:
    74.5 GB WDC WD800JB-00CRA1
There is nothing below that. (Normally indented below is the name ie. Macintosh HD)
I cannot verify or repair disk or disk permissions. I cannot mount it. All these options are grayed out. I took it to the Apple store genius bar. They think the disk is fine but "the partition is lost." (I didn't partition the hard drive. Don't really understand what that means.) I've tried Data Rescue (369 hours remaining) nothing is being recovered.
I've tried Disk Warrior. In the "Hardware" option I can choose the disk and run a test. It says it is fine. ("This hard drive's built-in S.M.A.R.T. diagnostics indicate the drive is functioning normally. Test complete") In the "Directory" option the disk doesn't show up. So I can't rebuild the directory.
    What else can I do?
    G4   Mac OS X (10.3.9)

The Apple System Profiler shows all the correct info except the name is "unknown." The only 2 places that seem wrong are the desktop - no hard drive, and in Disk Utility. I don't know what it's called, but the line directly under the listed hard drive in Disk Utility (74.5 GB WDC WD800JB-00CRA1) should have the name of the hard drive (Macintosh HD) listed but it does not. It should look like this but with an icon of a hard drive in front of each line:
    74.5 GB WDC WD800JB-00CRA1
    Macintosh HD
The second line (Macintosh HD) is not there. The other hard drives have their names listed. Apple seems to think this is a problem but other than running Data Rescue and Disk Warrior (neither of which did anything) they have not given me any other suggestions.
The computer knows the hard drive is there but it won't let me access it. I have done, tried, and checked all the easy stuff. (Cables, any and every type of connection, restarting holding down option + apple + F + O and all the other restart variations with and without the OSX CD, and running "rescue" programs.) Nothing has worked. Short of an exorcism, I'm out of ideas.

  • ICloud Backup is not showing up when trying to restore?

(Obviously) I just updated to iOS 7. GOt through activation and everything. But when I was setting up through the phone and through iTunes, my iCloud backup does not show to restore from. I backed it up this morning at 9 AM and it only shows one from 1 PM. I checked my iCloud storage and the control panel and it's there, but not available apparently for a restore. Any ideas?
    Thanks.

Is it possible that some of the clips were recorded in 60P? iMovie does not natively edit 60P.
    There are several options.
You could convert it to 30P using an app like ClipWrap.
You can edit 60P in Final Cut Pro X.
Finally, although I haven't tried this myself, some have reported that they have hacked iMovie to be able to edit 60P. Here is a blog post, for example. http://ianperegian.com/My_FZ35_38_Webpage/Edit_1080_50p_and_burn_a_disk.html

iCloud Drive will not work on my iPad 3. Pages crashes when I try. Settings resets to off after it crashes. any suggestions?

From the Ipad manual - actually the same in Ipad, Ipod, Iphone --- the support site listed has frequently asked questions on Icloud drive.
    Set up iCloud Drive
You can set up iCloud Drive using Setup Assistant when you install iOS 8, or you can set it up later in Settings. iCloud Drive is an upgrade to Documents & Data. When you upgrade to iCloud Drive, your documents are copied to iCloud Drive and become available on your devices using iCloud Drive. You won’t be able to access the documents stored in iCloud Drive on your other devices until they are also upgraded to iOS 8 or OS X Yosemite. For more information about upgrading to iCloud Drive, see support.apple.com/kb/HT6345.
Set up iCloud Drive. Go to Settings > iCloud > iCloud Drive, turn on iCloud Drive, then follow the onscreen instructions.
