IPhone 5s/iOS 7.0.2 email deletion bug.
Starting today I can no delete emails. I slide it to the left to bring up the deletion option and it just instantly snaps back to the right as if I never slide it. The edit button in the top right cornered changes from "edit" to "done" and starts flashing when this happens.
I realize it doesn't correct the other issue, I just wanted to make sure that email would delete first. If the force close and the reset does not work, the next step in user troubleshooting is restore from a backup. If that does not correct things, then the last step is restore as a new device, not from a backup.
Before you try the restore, I suggest going into Settings>Mail, Contacts, Calendars, and delete the mail account. Power the phone off/on, then add the email account back. If this does not do it, then continue with the restore.

I just figured it out! I set the email account I am using to try to send the photos as my default account by going to General > Settings > Mail > scrolling down to Default Account. Mine was set as my iCloud account. I switched it to gmail and now I can send photos.

Try:

Are iPad2 iOS 6 Mail Sent emails deleted automatically???
My wife sent an important email reply to her brother on her iPad2 less than 2 weeks ago; she left it in the Sent mailbox, but now it is gone! Has it been deleted automatically? Is it something new with iOS 6? (We use POP email accounts.)
I have the same issue. I cannot read Texts sent to my e-mail account from my family's iPhone 4s/5 iOS 6 Verizon devices when using my Samsung Galaxy SIII (also Verizon). I need to access the iOS 6 device originated e-mails on my laptop in order to read the text_0.txt attachments.

I just got my iPhone 4S and when I delete my email from the phone, they are also deleted from my email account on the computer. When I had a Blackberry, there was an option to delete from the phone only or delete from both. Does anyone know if this is possible with the iPhone and if so,m how I do it? Thanks.
Not sure what email you are dealing with but when I go into the setting for mail and choose one of my accounts I can go to the Advanced settings for that account and click on "deleted mailbox". Leave the setting for "On My iPhone" to Trash. Under "On the Server" you can change where the messages go. Default is probably set to "Trash". Change it to "Saved" (if that folder is there) or create a new folder in your email client (access it from a computer and see if you can add a folder. Then check setting on your phone to see if the new folder shows. If so, then have the emails go to that folder. I would think this should work the way that you want. Just test it out and see if that works.

On iPhone 5 (iOS 7), calendar alerts are 'deleted' after event occurs
This seems to be new(ish) behavior and is increasing in frequency.
I have an iPhone 5 and am on iOS7. Outlook is my default calendar. (I have already checked all my settings related to alerts; that isn't the issue.)
What's happening is this:
I set a meeting or "event" -- with an alert -- in my calendar (Outlook) on the iPhone; there are no other attendees.
I get alerted at the appropriate time.
When I go back later to move it to later in the day or another day (let's say it's an errand I still need to run), the alert I set initially is no longer there, so I have to re-enter that. Almost every time.
(This doesn't seem to happen to iCloud events, of course. Thank you Apple.) Anyhooo.... this just doesn't seem like expected behavior and not something I used to experience. And it's not what I *want* to have happen. I want the original alert to still stay "embedded" in the original event.

When I updated my iPhone to IOS 5.0 software, it deleted my apps and I do not know why.
When I downloaded the newest 5.0 IOS software update, it delted my apps for no reason. I do not know how to get them back or why they were deleted in the first place. Please help!! I paid much money for many of my apps and I expect apple to do something about it.
This may be an error caused by the update. You can try to sync your contact information with iCloud and backup the rest of your data and then restore the device and see if it starts to work normally again.

IPhone 5/iOS 6 - replying to emails using "Outlook Style" Format?

I've googled around for the answer to this, but haven't found anything particularly helpful, so I'm reaching out to the community here in hopes that someone has a solution.
My company is offering us the choice of continuing with a Blackberry, or switching to an iphone 5. The main thing holding me back from switching to the iPhone is that I don't see a way to change the format of a reply email in the default Mail.app so that it is using the "Outlook Style" format.
That is, when replying via the Mail.app on an iPhone, you will get this email format:
On DATE at TIME, "SO and SO" <email address> wrote:
<blurb of text>
However, I want my replies to look like this:
From:
Sent:
To:
Subject:
Does anyone have any suggestion for how to change the reply email format so that it follows the Outlook style? I do not want people to know that I am replying from a mobile device, and it is readily apparent that you are doing so via the iPhone. (The blackberries do not have this problem as they conform with the Outlook format by default). I also think it looks very unprofessional in the business environment where the vast majority of enterprises use Outlook as their email client.

Songs on Iphone 5 IOS 7 that cannot be deleted
I'm having difficulty deleting songs from my iphone 5 that appeared on my phone somehow. They don't show up as being on the phone when it's plugged in and synced with iTunes, therefore I cannot delete them that way, and with the new operating system I can no longer swipe and delete them off my phone. I do not have iCloud set up to sync music and I do not have iTunes Match turned on on my computer. Any help would be much appreciated!
Yeah, I just double checked and I've already done that and the songs are still there in the song list. I'd like them off the phone entirely. I don't even actually know how they got on the phone to begin with...

cannot send or receive yahoo mail or gmail from iPhone . installed ios 6 recently. tried rebooting the phone and deleting the email account and adding again but nothing works ! can someone suggest a solution?
Not sure about yahoo, but for gmail, I done the following:
Set up using Exchange on iPhone, it'll keep prompting for password. On PC use captcha option, log in to gmail account from PC after completingg captcha option, enter password on iPhone.
See how that goes for gmail, let us know.

I'm having problems with excessive email usage on my iphone 4/ios 7. Just noticed that it (settings/usage) was using 900+ mb. I deleted all my mail, deleted the mail account, turned the phone off and back on, downloaded any remaining mail on the server to Outlook on my computer, and it still says it's using 661 mb. My ipad uses a fraction of that.
Background: I recently (December) bought an ipad and set up icloud for contacts and calendar, but NOT mail. My email provider is Verizon. I use computer, iphone, and ipad to check my email; eventually I download it from the server using Outlook on the computer and then delete any remaining emails from the phone and ipad. It sounds like your iPad all of a sudden seems to be restarting out of no where. If you haven't called AppleCare yet, I would start with quitting either the app that seems to be causing the issue, or all the apps if a single doesn't seem to be the culprit.
iOS: Force an app to close
Double-click the Home button.
Swipe left or right until you have located the app you wish to close.
Swipe the app up to close it.
When you have done that restart the device and test the issue again:
iOS: Turning off and on (restarting) and resetting
If the issue persists, backup your device to iTunes, then restore it as new and verify that it works.
How to erase your iOS device and then set it up as a new device or restore it from backups
If it does, then restore your backup to either verify it still works and the software just needed reinstalled, or isolate the issue to the backup file itself.

IPhone 6/iOS 8 email issues with wifi connection

I have just upgraded from an iPhone 4 (iOS 7) to an iPhone 6 (iOS 8) and am having an issue with my pop email account. I used my iPhone 4 backup to set up new iPhone, so all the settings were as they were in my old phone. I have two email accounts, one is an IMAP account and the other is a POP account (which is my main email), I have no problems connecting to the server and downloading emails when connected via 4G (its super fast), but when I am connected via wifi, the POP account takes ages to connect to the server and check for emails (stuck on checking for email). I can speed up the process by closing mail app completely and reopening, then it checks and downloads really quickly (IMAP account has no problems), but this is frankly a pain.
I have spent ages on the phone with Apple support, who have got me to delete my POP email account twice, reset network settings, reset the phone using on/off button and home button, all to no avail. They are intent on telling me it's my email service providers fault, but as I pointed out there is no issue on 4G and my old iPhone (using iOS 7) on wifi has no issues, so can't be email provider. I have also tried using Apple's wifi in store to rule out router issue and the problem happened there too.
Have now run out of suggestions and options. I'm not sure if it's the phone itself, either a hardware or software issue (Apple support think not). Someone told me that it could be the wifi on my phone blocking the connection to the server. I have an appointment booked at the genius brand they have suggested wiping the phone and setting up as a new phone to see if the problem occurs, but this seems a bit drastic and I would lose all messages etc. Any help would be appreciated.I have solved the issue! I tried my pop account on other devices with iOS 8 and the same thing happened, so I deduced that the issue is a glitch in iOS 8 with wifi and pop accounts. I managed to get hold of the IMAP settings for my email provider and all seems to be well. Happy days!

How do I delete a purchased app from iPhone 6 iOS 8?
In trying desperately to sync Microsoft Office Outlook contacts for iPhone 6, iOS 8.1.1 with my PC, I noted on the sync page that I needed to download Microsoft Outlook on my phone. I did so, installed it, only to learn that it does not work for "msn email accounts".

Iphone emails deleting problems
My iphone is synced to my main email account so I receive emails on both, I've received a very big file with an attachment of nearly 20Mb! I now can't delete this email as every-time I do it crashes my phone. The screen either goes black then back to desktop or it just wheels around 'checking for mail' then crashes. Any thoughts?
