IPhone 5S keeps rebooting itself every 2 seconds

My phone died last night like it usually happens after a long day of usage and I thought nothing of it until I got home and tried charging it. After it came back on (apple logo came on the screen) it kept vibrating signaling that it was charging every two seconds, the screen then would go black and the apple logo would come back and the vibration indicating it was charging would come back on. There was one or two times when my lock screen would show up for a second or so but then it would go black and restart itself over and over and over and over again. I cant even get the lock screen to stay on the phone for longer than a second or two and it restarts itself again. So I then thought of plugging it into my computer to see what would happen and maybe even restoring it from a back up but it would not let me because I have to turn off find my iPhone... which I can't because I cant get it to stay on for longer than a **** second. iTunes does recognize my phone though and so does iPhoto but that's all I can do! I'm trying to let the phone COMPLETELY die as in it won't even notify me that it needs to be charged to see if that makes a difference but I have no clue what's going on nor why this is happening to me or what the solution is! I've tried holding down the home/power buttons but while it has battery all it does is keep restarting and while its dead it just tells me to plug it into a charger... any ideas?

You can turn off FindMyiPhone by logging in to icloud.com on a computer and turning it off there. If you can, try this procedure:
Turn your device off and connect your cable to the computer, but not the device just yet. Start up iTunes. Now, hold down the home button on your device and plug it in to the cable - don't let go of the button until iTunes tells you it's detected a device in recovery mode. Now you can restore to factory settings.

  • IPhone 4 keeps rebooting itself every 1-2 minutes.

    Hi!
Yesterday I got my white iphone 4 parts that I changed out of my black parts through a guide on youtube. Everything went well and put in place, I turn it on and everything worked. Five minutes later my cellphone rebooted itself and I did not think it was anything to worry about. After that it just kept rebooting every minute. I thought it was wrong on the white parts, so I switched back to the black parts again but it continues even now. It works 5min until it gets "No Service" then the screen goes off and the phone reboots. There is also something odd about the battery meter, sometimes it can be 0% and sometimes 100% when it started again.
I have tried everything. Took everything out and put it back in again, done a clean restore from itunes, etc.. Do not know what more I can do.
Anyone know what to do or what the problem is?
    Thanks!

Seems like you are out of luck here. Your warranty is voided considering that you changed the black parts to the white parts. You even tried restoring, which that did not help. Even if you go to the Apple store, it is very unlikely that they will replace it, just because white models are not out and they can check what the actual color of the phone was through the serial number and the model number.

  • My iPad keeps locking itself every few seconds, any ideas how to fix it... Drives me mad having to put my pass code in all the time and the screen keeps going blank :( HELP!

My iPad keeps locking itself every few seconds, any ideas how to fix it... Drives me crazy as the screen keeps going blank and I have to constantly put in my pass code every few seconds. Can someone help me out please. The pass code lock is set at 10 minutes but it's happening every few seconds :(

I've run into the issue and it seems to be related to an app not fully supporting the iOS you're on, the reboot doesn't usually solve it.
I've solved it in the following manner(s):
    1) Backup the device to iCloud, then erase the iPad (Content and Network Settings).
    2) Setup the iPad and choose to restore from iTunes/iCloud Backup (wherever you backed it up)
    3) Perform any software updates
I have not tried simply performing the software updates (which may fix it, but if it doesn't you won't be able to perform the above steps).
    Enjoy.

  • Since installing IOS7.0.2 my iPad keeps rebooting itself every few minutes.  I can't do anything with it and cannot download the new IOS7.2 because it doesn't run long enough to accomplish the download.  What can I do?

Since installing IOS7.0.2 my iPad keeps rebooting itself every few minutes.  I can't do anything with it and cannot download the new IOS7.2 because it doesn't run long enough to accomplish the download.  What can I do?

    Try a Restart.
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button for a few seconds until the red "slide to power off" slider appears, and then slide the slider. Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until the Apple logo appears.
     Resetting your settings
You can also try resetting all settings. Settings>General>Reset>Reset All Settings. You will have to enter all of your device settings again.... All of the settings in the settings app will have to be re-entered. You won't lose any data, but it takes time to enter all of the settings again.
    Resetting your device
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button together for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears. Apple recommends this only if you are unable to restart it.
Or if this doesn't work and nobody else on the blog doesn't have a better idea you can contact Apple.

    Hello there, Fernandox26.
The following Knowledge Base article offers up some great steps for troubleshooting isues with unexpected power issues with your iOS device:
    iPhone: Hardware troubleshooting

Will not turn on, will not turn on unless connected to power, or unexpected power off
Verify that the Sleep/Wake button functions. If it does not function, inspect it for signs of damage. If the button is damaged or is not functioning when pressed, seek service.
Check if a Liquid Contact Indicator (LCI) is activated or there are signs of corrosion. Learn about LCIsand corrosion.
Connect the iPhone to the iPhone's USB power adapter and let it charge for at least ten minutes.
After at least 30 minutes, if:
The home screen appears: The iPhone should be working. Update to the latest version of iOS if necessary. Continue charging it until it is completely charged and you see this battery icon in the upper-right corner of the screen . Then unplug the phone from power. If it immediately turns off, seek service.
The low-battery image appears, even after the phone has charged for at least 20 minutes: See "iPhone displays the low-battery image and is unresponsive" symptom in this article.
Something other than the Home screen or Low Battery image appears, continue with this article for further troubleshooting steps.
If the iPhone did not turn on, reset it while connected to the iPhone USB power adapter.
If the display turns on, go to step 4.
If the display remains black, go to next step.
Connect the iPhone to a computer and open iTunes. If iTunes recognizes the iPhone and indicates that it is in recovery mode, attempt to restore the iPhone. If the iPhone doesn't appear in iTunes or if you have difficulties in restoring the iPhone, see this article for further assistance.
If restoring the iPhone resolved the issue, go to step 4. If restoring the iPhone did not solve the issue, seek service.
My issue is still not resolved. What do I do next?

  • IPhone 3g keeps rebooting itself

yesterday all of a sudden every time i checked my phone i had no signal bars. i figured it was the area i was in. once i left it continued to have no service. i turned it off then back on and since then it keeps rebooting itself. i connected it to itunes to try to restore it and it restores but does not sync. it reboots midway through the process. can anyone help me out?

Well the post says the question is answered - but a quick search on Google for "iphone keeps rebooting" reveals many thousands of people with this problem... including me yesterday!
I seem to have gotten mine fixed... Somehow I managed to get the phone to reboot in recovery mode. This stopped it rebooting, as long as I didn't press the round button. After that, without starting it or pressing ANY buttons I plugged it into my laptop and selected restore. This restores the firmware, but when I tried to then re-sync the songs, it crashed again. I thought it was all over. However... the second time I did indeed manage to re-sync everything - and so far to day, everything seems reasonably stable. Mind you. I have to "reactivate" my phone connection with O2 in the process though... very odd and frankly Apple should be a bit more open about this clearly known issue and tell us what to do... either play around or get straight to a store.
    Dixon.

  • Iphone 3g keeps rebooting itself - Help!

Since yesterday my iphone 3g has been going very slow. Today it decided just to give up on me completely. Wouldn't let me into any of my apps etc. So connected to my laptop, but gave me two error messages the first one being a number saying it was an error. The second one said that the iphone wouldn't let it connect.
It has now decided to just keep rebooting itself, taking about 5 minutes to load up & then flicks to home screen then reboots again. Tried holding in the off button & home at same time to over write the restart. Nothing.
Any suggestions would be grateful? Phone is just 2 years old!
    Thanks x

Restore it from you backup. Use Recover or DFU mode if iTunes won't recognize it.

  • I restored my iphone 4 to prepare it for sale and now it keeps rebooting itself every few minutes saying "Waiting for Activation". What's going on?!

I'm just trying to figure out if theres some other issue at play or if its normal for the phone to keep rebooting while searching for activation. I'd like to sell it this weekend but I don't want to sell a broken phone to someone. I researched this issue a bit online and only found a similar issue having to do with facetime/imessage but this seems to be different. I went through the necessary steps to fix the problem others were having, even though it didnt seem to be exactly the same as mine, but it is still happening. I will say that I got the iphone wet some time ago but it has worked fine since then so I'm assuming its not related. Perhaps the battery needs to be replaced? Any and all input or advice would be greatly appreciated. THANKS!

I should mention it is ios 6.1.3. The phone has now also started, after rebooting, showing the signal bars next to the wifi signal icon at the top but no "Sprint" type next to the bars as usual. And then after a few minutes it shuts down, shows the black screen with the white apple in the middle for a few moments, comes back up with the Waiting for Activation message, the signal bars pop up and the whole cycle just repeats itself.

  • IPhone crashes and reboots itself every 2 minutes after updating to iOS 5.01

I saw other people complaing about problems with their devices after updating to the new firmware, but this one wasn't one of those problems. After updating to iOS 5 I did have a few crashes but then some time passed and they stop. The battery meter also seemed to be okay. It wasn't until today that the problems not only came back, but became much worse. I updated the firmware to 5.01 and not only is the battery acting up again, but my phone crashes every 1 to 2 minutes. Suddenly the screen goes black, I wait like a minute for the phone to reboot itself, then it's another minute of it working properly and then the same thing happens and it repeats all over again. I guess it might be important to point out that I'm with a 3gs, which I bought from a country (in Europe) in which I'm not right now (I'm still in Europe though), so there is no way for me to get any help from tech support.

Ok nevermind that, I restored it via my PC and so far I haven't had any problems (it's been a little less than an hour, so I'm still keeping my fingers crossed)

  • Why does my iphone 4 keep rebooting itself uncontrollably

i left my iphone 4 in my car in sub zero temperatures for a few hours while skiing and when i came back it started acting all weird and refused to turn on. so thinking it was just cold and needed some time to reheat itself, i wernt home and plugged it in and let it warm itself back up for the night. i went and checked on it later on in that same day and i would work, but the processing seemed unusually slow. for example the screen and menu button would delay bigtime. thinking it was still a little cold i decided to reet it and then from there it progessively got worse to the point where neither the screen or menu button would work. i have tried plugging it into my computer, itunes will read that my iphone is there but it just keeps turning itself on until it reaches the lock screen, then it will reboot itself and continue this process. some help please!!!

Clear the App from background memory, and then try it again.
Do not use the faulty App.
If this happens with all Apps, Restore iphone firmware with iTunes, when asked at end set up as New.
If still problems could be faulty battery, which will be covered by Warranty.

  • Iphone 4 keeps rebooting itself, why????

I have recently bought an iphone 4 it is running iOS 5 and once i finally managed to get it set up after about 10 minutes it starts to reboot itself, i do not now why this is happening, it is gettin very frustrating that i keep losing messages and pictures i take with the camera, i have read on some forums that it could be a battery issue but i honestly could not say for sure, i have tried takin itunes off of my windows 7 computer i have re downloaded the iOS 5 firmware, and still to no avail do i have an iphone that works properly, im wondering if anyone else is having the same issue with this also, but i do ask myself is it a software or a hardware issue???? can anyone help me????

Seems like you are out of luck here. Your warranty is voided considering that you changed the black parts to the white parts. You even tried restoring, which that did not help. Even if you go to the Apple store, it is very unlikely that they will replace it, just because white models are not out and they can check what the actual color of the phone was through the serial number and the model number.

  • IPhone 4 keeps rebooting itself

Okay so my iPhone keeps restarting itself. It gets these white horizontal lines, almost like a gameboy shutting off. Than turns black and restarts. It's was running iOS 5.0.1.  I restored several times and put it into that DFU mode several times as well.

Any news from Apple about a fix?
