Iphone 5s keyboard blank after software update to 8.3

After updating to the latest software version the keyboard is blank on my Iphone 5s this is in multiple apps and after backing up, wiping and reinstalling the software. Can anyone help?

never mind the problem has been fixed, it was third party keyboards that corrupted the original keyboard, as soon as I removed the third party keyboards and rest the phone, the original keyboard came back

iphone could not activate after software update (iSO5). it reads, on itunes, "there is no sim card on the iphone", even though there is one in the phone. i tried taking the sim out and re-inserting it, but the same problem still repeats. Anyone to help?

Is there a sim in the iPhone?
Has the iPhone been jailbroken or modified to work with other
    than the original wireless provider?
If you can get that far, what does it say when you look at
    Settings=>General=>About=>Carrier?

  • IPhone 4S: Keyboard disappeared after latest update to iOs 8.

After this latest iOS update ( 8 ) the keyboard on my iPhone 4S has gone missing. When I go to type something the emoji screen appears but is unresponsive. An acquaintance told me to power down the iPhone, take out the battery for a few seconds, re-insert battery and power back up. I'm hesitant about doing this.

That is a new feature described in Connect your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch using Continuity
You can turn it off by going to Settings > FaceTime and turn "iPhone Cellular Calls" to off.
The quote below is from the above link and gives more description of when it would work with that setting turned on.
    Phone calls
To make and receive phone calls on your iPad or iPod touch, here's what you need:
Your iPhone and your iPad or iPod touch need to use iOS 8 or later.
Both devices must be on the same Wi-Fi network.
Both devices must be signed in to FaceTime using the same Apple ID.
This means any iOS device that shares your Apple ID will get your phone calls. Look below for instructions on how to turn off iPhone cellular calls.
Wi-Fi Calling needs to be off.

  • Iphone in recovery mode after software update

Hello, I have just downloaded and upgraded my software on iphone 4.
It seemed to have taken about 2-3 hours.
There was an error (which I missed) and now I have on my phone the white apple sign, on my itunes it says - "Itunes has detected an iphone in recovery mode. You must restore this iphone before it can be used with itunes.
My only option on itunes is to restore to original settings, which Im guessing I will lose all my data etc?
Does anyone know of an alternative solution?
I have held down the home and power button but no luck.
    Please help!

    Try the steps:
How to perform a recovery-mode restore
If your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch is already showing the "Connect to iTunes" screen, please go to step 5.
Connect your USB cable to your computer but not to the iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch until step 3.
Turn off the device: Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button for a few seconds until the red slider appears, then slide the slider. Wait for the device to turn off.If you cannot turn off the device using the slider, press and hold the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons at the same time. When the device turns off, release the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons.
While pressing and holding the Home button down, connect the USB cable to the iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch. The device should turn on.
Continue holding the Home button until you see the Connect to iTunes screen. When this screen appears, you can release the Home button:
Note: If the image of a battery appears, let the device charge for at least ten minutes to ensure that the battery has some charge, and then start with step 2 again. If you don't see the Connect to iTunes screen, try these steps 1 through 4 again.
iTunes should automatically open and display the following message:
"iTunes has detected an iPhone in recovery mode. You must restore this iPhone before it can be used with iTunes."
Note: If iTunes not open after two minutes, please open iTunes yourself.
Use iTunes to restore the device.

  • Iphone no more working after software update

I purchased an iphone 3G in the States and used it for one year in the UAE without problems.
My child played with it and somehow blocked it.
I reloaded the software via itunes but after, I got the message that my phone cannot be released, that I should insert the initial sim card? or approach my service provider. I asked my service provider, but they couldn't be of any help.
I have now the problem that I purchased an expensive phone and that itunes is just useless in case of problems.
My service provider in the UAE doesn't understand why I cannot get back to my connection.
If you had the a similar problem, please let me know how you solved it.
In case it cannot be solved, it was of course the last time I purchased any Apple product.
    Thanks and regards
    Philippe

    Hy guys,just to know,so I wrote today to at&t:
    Good day,
I would like to get in touch with you directly in order to solve the following problem:
Purchase of no. 2 iPhone 4 S color white 16GB AT&T at the Applestore located in California, last November 8 for $700,92 each, tax included.
Both devices have been started with a different carrier than AT&T since the very first run and then used for 4 day in the States, 1 in Germany and 1 in Italy with no problem at all. Last Monday I tried the following action from Italy: SETTINGS>GENERAL>RESET>ERASE ALL CONTENT AND SETTINGS. I then switched on the device and this message popped up on the screen: The sim card you are using is not valid (translation from Italian). I got in touch with the Apple care USA-Apple care Italy-Apple Store where we recently bought the two unlocked devices and I got the same reply from everybody saying that I should provide IMEI and ICCID codes and ask AT&T to unlock both cellular phones because the devices had been bought at full cost and they are therefore UNLOCKED devices. The phone came with an AT&T card that I have never used. Together with the phones, we also purchased two APPLECARE FOR IPHONE contracts for 99$ each.
A contact would be appreciated in order to attempt a solution, whether possible. What I would like to receive is an AT&T valid reply to my inquire.
    Best Regards
    They sayd:
Hey Christian, you'll need to contact Apple to resolve this issue, since you did not activate the phone with at&t
    My reply:
Apple states that I should address to you. We are in the middle of an infinite loop. Thank you for your answer.

  • Iphone 4s keyboard useless after os7 update

    Hi
Dowloaded os7 last night, now it takes 30secs or so to enter a 4 digit code, the same when trying to write a text, you press a key, it clicks, then nothing happens for what seems an age, about 10 secs in truth, been on to tech support, can help me, restored through I tunes no improvement, help! Closest Genius Bar appointment is the 25th

I have the same problem with my iPhone 4. It is about 3 months old and the wear/damage that I can assume is bein done is going to....fry it, I would say render it useless but iOS 7 has done that already. I did not agree to download this new iOS Apple made the discion for me to install it "OTA" which they said was the problem and I should restore to factory default without backup, clean install. I did and it changed nothing. Running absolute barebones, no apps, no music, and every feature that is possible to disable, disabled. The 3G data randomly and often just stops working and I have to hard restart. When it is working it is worthless anyway, staring at the screen 10 minutes to load apple.com in safari. I have been an exclusive iPhone user for years and never thought I would say this but I will never buy another iPhone after this. I'm completely shocked. Steve Jobs must be turning over in his grave. I used to be so impressed with Apples attention to customer satisfaction. It's a shame shareholders aren't more concerned about their profit margins a few years from now.

  • Photo Library on Iphone 3GS looks blurry after software update

Has anyone looked at their photos in their albums and noticed how blurry they are? I'm not talking about the pictures taken from the phone's camera but rather the albums that you may have synced on here from Iphoto. Something is wrong! Everyone photo from 4 different albums is blurry yet when I look at the album "Camera Roll", those are just fine.
    Help!!

Same here. I upgraded to iOS 4 yesterday and the upgrade went smoothly but this morning I noticed that all my iPhoto album photos were like in really small resolution because they were all pixelated when I tried to use them as background. All the pictures from the Camera Roll were fine. Some kind of iPhoto sync issue?!

  • IPhone went bad after software update - iPhone 5 is now stuck on Itunes connect and has vertical lines

iPhone went bad after software update - iPhone 5 is now stuck on Itunes connect and has vertical lines.
I found a video on youtube with similar issues - http://youtu.be/Xuuqxx18-bA
EVERYTHING HAS BEEN TRIED: Restore, Reboot, Recycle, Replacing Cables, etc....
I don't have Apple Care, what to do? Spend more money and buy a new phone?

Here is another person who has a problem with the iPhone 5 screen https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sc1ZPWSA8dc and they have just received them NEW!!!!!
I myself, two days ago purchased a  2nd hand iPhone 5 that was advertised as having a line of squares at the bottom of the screen. I Googled it and found people saying it was a screen issue and to replace the screen, so I did this and it is still happening with a new screen.
I am starting to dislike Apple intensely after reading forum posts and watching videos where people are asking for help and telling us about issues that they are having with their phones.
Why is Apple getting it so wrong with their updates and manufacturing that they are completely destroying iPhones that cost a lot of money and then expecting the owner to purchase another phone unless they are still in warranty.
Apple you should be going out of your way to put things right for people but instead there is a wall of silence over so many of the issues destroying peoples phones.
    SHAME ON YOU!

  • HT1338 iphone 3gs cant be activated after software update to ios5

iphone 3gs cant be activated after software update to ios5

  • HT1476 Is any one else's iphone 5 now shutting down at 40% after software update

iPhone dying at 40% since software update. As soon as I plug it back it comes back to 40%. It's clearly the software update causing the issue. How can I resolve it

    Hello there, richsim68.
The following Knowledge Base article offers up some great steps for troubleshooting the issue you're describing:
    iPhone: Hardware troubleshooting
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ts2802
    Particularly:
Will not turn on, will not turn on unless connected to power, or unexpected power off
Verify that the Sleep/Wake button functions. If it does not function, inspect it for signs of damage. If the button is damaged or is not functioning when pressed, seek service.
Check if a Liquid Contact Indicator (LCI) is activated or there are signs of corrosion. Learn about LCIsand corrosion.
Connect the iPhone to the iPhone's USB power adapter and let it charge for at least ten minutes.
After at least 30 minutes, if:
The home screen appears: The iPhone should be working. Update to the latest version of iOS if necessary. Continue charging it until it is completely charged and you see this battery icon in the upper-right corner of the screen . Then unplug the phone from power. If it immediately turns off, seek service.
The low-battery image appears, even after the phone has charged for at least 20 minutes: See "iPhone displays the low-battery image and is unresponsive" symptom in this article.
Something other than the Home screen or Low Battery image appears, continue with this article for further troubleshooting steps.
If the iPhone did not turn on, reset it while connected to the iPhone USB power adapter.
If the display turns on, go to step 4.
If the display remains black, go to next step.
Connect the iPhone to a computer and open iTunes. If iTunes recognizes the iPhone and indicates that it is in recovery mode, attempt to restore the iPhone. If the iPhone doesn't appear in iTunes or if you have difficulties in restoring the iPhone, see this article for further assistance.
If restoring the iPhone resolved the issue, go to step 4. If restoring the iPhone did not solve the issue, seek service.
Thanks for reaching out to Apple Support Communities.
    Cheers,
    Pedro.

To disable Voice dials try this, (I saw in an iPhone website here in Brazil):
    1. Turn on Siri (settings > General > Siri)
    2. go to  (Settings >Passcode > Voice Dial) trust me, it appears now
    3. disable Voice Dial
    4. go back and disable Siri
    hope this could help you!!
