started yesterday. No voice mail at all. When I tap the voice mail icon the phone immediately dials some number and that number rings busy. I can't select anything else. Using Virgin mobile/ I am stumped.
I have already tried a soft boot... power and home button....
Help!

Other than changing the SIM card, you don't mention any troubleshooting you did with your phone.
If you haven't already, try the following steps as needed:
Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Setting.
Reset phone - press both home and sleep/wake buttons until the Apple logo appears.
Restore phone in iTunes using a backup
Restore in iTunes as a new iPhone
IF the last step doesn't fix it, there is a hardware problem and you should make an appt. with an Apple Store Genius Bar. The fact that you haven't dropped the phone by no means rules out hardware issues.

I don't have an answer for you but from my experience iOS WiFi syncing has always been a hit and miss affair (more miss than hit I'm afraid). I have gotten to the stage where I rarely use the WiFi sync. It is just quicker, easier and much less stressful to use the USB cable. I am having the same issues with all the iOS devices in our family which includes various models of iPhone, iPad and an iPod Touch and have been having them since WiFi syncing was introduced (in iOS5 ???). And then I have not even mentioned my favorite iTunes syncing messages: "Waiting for items to copy" and "Waiting for changes to be applied"!
iTunes is always extremely quick and eager to pick up the devices but as soon as I click on sync it shows "Looking for iDevice" and then the device disappears. I have found that initiating the sync from the Settings app on the device prevents this issue.
It does however seem as if it is worse with Windows 7. I did not have so many issues with my previous Windows Vista PC.

Mine and my wifes iphon 5s is having way too many problems for today's technology, when using iTunes music app from the lock screen if you press pause from the lock screen it stays the same not like before when you paused the music the play buttons would disappear but now they just stay there, and when playing YouTube videos in the background from safari and the phone is in lock screen and you receive a text the screen will stay lit until you turn it off yourself and also the same thing happens in the home screen if your playing YouTube from safari in the background the phone won't auto dim of auto lock after any amount of time it will stay on forever these problems need to be fixed, also the wifi is not working like it used to and the LTE and 3G data are slow, slower then the 3GS when ios 6 came out. Any number of things could have caused the phone to do this. If after the reset you are experiencing additional problems, the next step in the troubleshooting process is a restore from a backup. Make sure you have one before you start the restore process. If that does not improve things, then you may have to restore as a new device. Remember, restoring as a new device will delete all data off the phone. Make sure all of your pictures are imported to the computer and all other data is synced to supported applications on the computer before restoring as new. I went to the store last night and they switched it for me... i tried one phone but it had the same rattle so they gave me another one. now i am home with the 2nd-replacement and there is still a slight rattle, but nothing as obvious as my original phone i recevied in the mail. Basic Troubleshooting Steps when all else fails
- Quit the App by opening multi-tasking bar, and swiping the App upward to make it disappear. (For iOS 6, holding down the icon for the App for about 3-5 seconds, and then tap the red circle with the white minus sign.)
- Relaunch the App and try again.

- Reset All Settings (Settings > General > Reset > Reset All Settings)

I have been using an iPhone since I lost interest with Nokia phones. I fell in love with Apple's innovation, design and technology. However, I am beginning to lose interest wth the product as well.
I have an iPhone 5, my phone's battery can only last an hour and the phone is 7 month old. The problem started last week while I was in Argentina. I had a bad holiday due to this, as I could not make use of the technology because my phone was off most of the time and I had nowehere to charge except to go back to the hotel. I could not even share pictures on Instagram. Has anyone ever experienced such a problem? If so, why and how was the problem fixed? I am starting to engage in a debate that I have been trying to avoid with my friends. They say that Samsung is striving and I now tend to agree, and if the problem persists I will gladly join the Samsung family. They seem to make reliable phones. Sadly, I never experienced this problem with iPhone 3GS & iPhone 4S.

I've got an iphone 5 and it's working very well with me but I have to admit that its battery lasts (slower) than my Ipad 2.
Still i can help with some tips that may improve your iohone's battery by an hour in addition (hopefully):
- close all apps by multitasking....
- do NOT keep the brightness to the max
Believe me you're gonna regret changing your phone to a samsung

IPhone 4 gives terrible headaches on whatever side I use the phone (within minutes), and whatever pocket the phone is carried in. Do I need to give up my smart phone usage?

I know this has been a briefly discussed issue a few years ago. I also have seen on other forums that people reply with sarcasm and disbelief. I love my iPhone 4; however, I get screaming headaches after using it for any length of time (obviously worsens the longer the phone call). Whatever pocket I carry it in (now no longer do) I would experience muscular pain. I didn't realise it was the phone until whenever I got a pain, my hand would land right on the phone. I had a heachache issue with my old non, smart phone LG when talking on it for over 20 mins. Has anyone discovered a solution or know of a worthwhile case that will stop the issue? Anyone know what the actual problem is? I would like to keep using it, or a different smart phone if it ends this issue. Thanks in advance.

I have these headaches too after a week of having my 4s phone. I tested it myself with a 3-axis RF field strength meter and its really crazy - when the phone rings or you access email, the field goes crazy- about 100 times the normal level- all this is to say is that we're getting an awful dose or radiation. Of course, I also tested my old phone which is actually supposed to have one of the lowest radiation and an old flipphone but it was even higher than the 4S! I give up. I think all the bad stuff gets tucked away in the marketing. - Go to settings>Store and sign out and sign into your account.
- Apps are locked to the account that purchased them.
- To update apps you have to sign into the account that purchased the apps. If you have apps that need updating purchased from more than one account you have to update them one at a time until the remaining apps were purchased from one account.

I just found out my credit score dropped because Verizon One bill put me through collections for my final bill that I never received and after almost two hours on the phone transferred back and forth they still could not confirm if I owe money or not.

After 2 hours transferred back and forth between billing, one bill, home and wireless no one could prove that I owed money. Wireless said I owed nothing and home said I had a credit for cancelling a couple days before the billing cycle but owed for wireless. After a three-way called between Home and Wireless and Wireless insisting I do not owe anything, the Home representative disconnected herself, the wireless rep promised me a call back the next day to get the other department online and to get everything resolved. No one called me back next day and the day after. Knowing this could go in circles and don't want to do anything bad to my credit, I paid the settlement amount to the collection agencies. Now I saw that my credit score got ding for an amount that Verizon couldn't prove that I owed. I should not have paid it at all. If someone from Verizon reads this message, please get back to me and get this resolved. After more than 15 years with this company, this is making me so frustrated. I liked Verizon services but at this point I am going to start looking for someone with better billing.

I called customer service, spoke to Verizon Wireless Representative but they cannot pull anything on my record. So after two transfers I asked to speak to financial services. Spoke to Ronnie Ext 5100. Representative was very rude, not listening, kept on insisting that since I paid the collection agency I cannot dispute. Said should not have paid the collection agency. Rep was over talking, not listing to me explaining my frustration of being on the phone for hours in November between Verizon OneBill, Home and Wireless and got nothing resolved, and that's why I paid. Said there's nothing she can do except to put a note to Credit Bureau that the account is paid in full. I asked to talk to a supervisor or a manager and she said no one can do anything else. I insisted and she asked me to leave a phone number to call back. After all the calls and speaking to many reps, this is the worst. Now I am back to square one waiting for someone to call me back. And my credit score is still one hundred points lower thanks to Verizon!!!

That is not correct. The only way to find it is with Find My iPhone, as described earlier.
