Iphone 5s match can't be turned off?
Thi is my first post. Yesterday I went to my whatsapp as I had an alert of a mesage and when i opened it, all my contacts names had gone, all the different conversations were just a list of numbers. i went to my recent calls and again just a list of numbers. But when I went to my contacts they are there with names (but some people are missing) very odd and extremely irritaing. i then realised text messages i had received that morning were now not in my message folder, nor was the friends contact detials who had sent them.
So i thought I will restore my phone and download the new ios at the sam time. 7.4 i think? anyway now i cant turn off itunes match, i cant download music to my phone, though it shows in itunes match but only 740 songs, my library says i have 800. finding the whol Apple experience very frustrating at the moment, its not simple if you arent very technically minded!

Yesterday I bought a new galaxy s5 as a replacement for so iphone 4. I did not turn off iMessage before I activated the new phone and sent in the old one. Now I can't receive any text messages from people with iphones. This is more than half of my contacts. Most intelligent people would not store such sensitive data on a device that could so easily be lost, stolen, or damaged. Even if they chose to do so, they would use the device as designed and regularly sync and backup that device as described in the User's Guide.
Have you done so? If you have, all of the data is either in iCloud or iTunes on your computer. Replace the device and restore the new iDevice with the backup of the old one. -

I keep getting Error Code 4002 in iTuens when try to update my iTunes Match. I have turned off Match, then reconnected, but the code keeps coming. So does Error Code 4010 at times. Can someone help?
iTunes store, App Store, iTunes Match and various other services have been down for the past several hours. Apple's System Status page at http://www.apple.com/support/systemstatus/ now shows them back up but they are STILL NOT up for me or many other users. The error codes 4000 series refer to connection errors, I've gotten several from 4001-4010 all day. We're kind of at the mercy of Apple at this point. It would be nice if they would give us some notification about their problems since we are paying for their service.

Erase All Content an Settings - FIRST Set up As New - Test Camera Flash
Works? Great! - restore back up
[NOTE - if the flash does not respond again after restoring back up then sorry will have to Erase All Content and Settings Again and then the best part 'Set up As New and manually enter data/information']
If the first time done and after setting up as new and still not resolved - then Id suggest call AppleCare Support or set an appointment up with an Apple Retail Store

I lost all my contacts on my iPhone. Facebook contacts integration is turned off. When I got to know that I have no contacts on my iPhone. I checked my settings and iCloud backup and contacts on iCloud (in settings) were off.

Your son needs his own Apple ID for iCloud, FaceTime & iMessage. He can continue to use yours for iTunes content, but for everything else, he needs his own.
When you did what you did, as far as iCloud knows, this is the same person with multiple devices, and that's they way things are supposed to work: keep everything in sync. -
I can no longer turn off programs after ios7 update
I just upgraded my iPhone 5 to iOS 7 and can I longer turn off apps to conserve battery. (Double-tap home, touch & hold on the app to close and then touch the X to close it). I just end up in the app I want to close. Has anyone else figured out how to do this?
Double tap home button>tiles pop up with all apps> slide them up to close

I am traveling in Mexico. I have an iPhone 3s. How do I turn OFF data roaming? Under SETTINGS I don't see Network. I don'r see it under SETTINGS/General either.
What you should do, if you don't want any nasty surprises, is put your phone in Airplane mode. That turns off all iPhone radios, but you can go back into settings & turn WiFi back on.
Do not rely on the data roaming setting to protect you. -
Why can't I turn off location services? Restrictions are disabled. The on off slidebar is grayed out. I'm concerned my phone is being tracked.
While I know there are phones that can do this, they really are not powered "off" - they are more in a hybernation state. However, the iPhone has never worked that way. Off on an iPhone means truly powered off - nothing is still running so there is no minimal function left ticking away to wake up the phone and sound the alarm.

My iPhone is broken, but I have to turn off find my iPhone. So without a working iPhone I had to do it with my iPad. I have the same Apple ID on my iPhone and iPad, and I have turned off find my iPhone(iPad) on my iPad, but is it then turned off on my iPhone as well? And if it is not, what can i do to turn it off, now that i can't do it with the phone?
I do not think so, but the easiest way to find out is to try it.
edit: after rereading your post, there is not a way to try it with a broken phone. If the phone is broken, I think I would destroy it. Then it is a moot question.

i have an iphone 4 and and it suddenly turns off i stilled had 70 percent to so i went home plugged it into the charger and let it sit there for about 30 mins still nothing then i put tried putting it in dfu mode but nothing please help
Connect iPhone to Wall Charger and Reset, hold both home and power buttons until the iPhone begins to start, this can take about 20 seconds of holding both buttons. If nothing, this means your iPhone has a hardware fault, most likely and hopefully battery.

I know it can be both concerning and frustrating if your iPhone will not turn on as expected. I also know your have done some great troubleshooting already. I would suggest reading over the attached article and trying the troubleshooting steps provided to ensure everything has been done.

Will not turn on, will not turn on unless connected to power, or unexpected power off
Verify that the Sleep/Wake button functions. If it does not function, inspect it for signs of damage. If the button is damaged or is not functioning when pressed, seek service.
Check if a Liquid Contact Indicator (LCI) is activated or there are signs of corrosion. Learn about LCIsand corrosion.
Connect the iPhone to the iPhone's USB power adapter and let it charge for at least ten minutes.
After at least 30 minutes, if:
The home screen appears: The iPhone should be working. Update to the latest version of iOS if necessary. Continue charging it until it is completely charged and you see this battery icon in the upper-right corner of the screen . Then unplug the phone from power. If it immediately turns off, seek service.
The low-battery image appears, even after the phone has charged for at least 20 minutes: See "iPhone displays the low-battery image and is unresponsive" symptom in this article.
Something other than the Home screen or Low Battery image appears, continue with this article for further troubleshooting steps.
If the iPhone did not turn on, reset it while connected to the iPhone USB power adapter.
If the display turns on, go to step 4.
If the display remains black, go to next step.
Connect the iPhone to a computer and open iTunes. If iTunes recognizes the iPhone and indicates that it is in recovery mode, attempt to restore the iPhone. If the iPhone doesn't appear in iTunes or if you have difficulties in restoring the iPhone, see this article for further assistance.
If restoring the iPhone resolved the issue, go to step 4. If restoring the iPhone did not solve the issue, seek service.

My Ipad 2 freeze since last nite, been almost 24 hrs, last thing it did was this ""icloud back up notice ""appeared on screen, since then, I can't touch OK to get back to where I was , Ipad can't be turned off, can't do anything, first time happened with a frozen screen , it's still within 12 mths old.
any suggestions how to un freeze it, thanks ...?At first , after I followed instruction to reboot for several times as each time the Apple logo did not appear at all. So gave up. But half an hr or so later, turn it on to check, it seems back to normal once again.
