IPhone 5S stuck at recovery mode after corrupt restore

I recently downloaded IOS 8 from my developer account, and i got tired of all the crashes so i decided to restore back to IOS 7.1.1 , and so i downloaded the latest IOS 7 IPSW , entered DFU Mode and i held down option on my mac and clicked "Restore" , chose my IPSW, but halfway through iTunes froze. I waited for about 40 minutes but then i needed to go, so i took it out without a choice.
I came back and it was in Recovery mode,i tried the same steps, but it keeps freezing at the exact same moment.
I tried both of my mac's USB ports, two lightning bolt cables, another Windows PC, nothing seems to work.
The strange thing is, when i try to restore it on my Mac it just freezes in the middle, but when i try to restore it on my PC it just gives me an error.
The error is:" The iPhone "iPhone" cannot be restored.An unknown error occurred. Error number 14".
I have everything updated,i tried to restore when it is in recovery mode,after i downloaded the IPSW from iTunes,tried downloading from multiple sources,nothing seems to work.

I download the latest firmware from apple's website, and when I tried to restore my iphone with it on itunes, it gave me an error message and put it in recovery mode. Hello..
After updating my iphone 4s, my iphone got stuck in recovery mode. I don't really care what happens to my contacts, old texts, or apps.. All I want are my pictures. Anyone have any idea on how I can get them back? I have over 1,200 pictures & I none of them can be found on my iCloud. Someone help me save my photos!!

You may need to try this More than Once...
Be sure to Follow ALL the Steps...
But... if the Device has been Modified... this will Not necessarily work.
Once the Device is asking to be Restored with iTunes... it is too late to save anything...
To minimise loss... Connect to iTunes on the computer you Usually Sync with and Restore from the most recent Backup...

IPhone 4S stuck in recovery mode after trying to update to iOS 7.

After trying several different things, I still cannot get my phone out of recovery mode. I'm studying abroad and would very much like to not be stuck in Belgium without a phone. I also don't want to go buy a new one if there's a fix for this. I have tried everything from modifying hosts to using TinyUmbrella and it still will not restore. Any ideas?

hi, Dear Dude, I have ever encountered this kind of situation. My iPhone stuck in recovery mode and I try these two methods.
first method is mainmenu--->then,settings--->then,general settings--->then,tap reset option--->then,reset your iPhone
second method is to use iPhone Data Recovery. To me, a computer newbie, it's convenient and useful. It brings my phone back to normal and enables me to recover all my lost data with just one click.
Either of it can try!

My iphone 4 stuck in recovery mode after updating to ios5.1

i got my iphone 4 updated to ios 5 months ago and it was successful. However, i was updating my software to ios 5.1 using the phone itself and it went into recovery mode after that. The moment before updating it was fine and now it stuck in recovery mode, showing the itunes logo and usb cable.
I connected my phone to the itunes on my laptop and it shows that my iphone is in recovery mode and must be restored.
I've tried restoring it but after the restoration cycle was done, it pop up a window saying there's an error (1) occuring and my iphone was unable to be restored.
I've tried it again and again for hours from yesterday evening until now but it's still the same. Anyone can help? I got no more phone to use at the moment.

download a program called RecBoot, very easy to use, connect your iphone and click on "exit recovery mode" and it will restart normally. I had the same problem as you, but I solved it with this program.

HELP! My iPhone 4S is stuck in recovery mode (the iTunes usb plug in screen) after trying to update ios 7.1.1? Wont come back to normal, someone please help! I have already turned off, restarted, tried wondershare dr phone's free trial and nothing is working. I dont want to restore and loss all of my data and am scared even that wont work.

Unfortunately, if you are in Recovery Mode then all your data is already gone.
You need to connect to iTunes to restore iOS then restore from your latest iTunes or iCloud backup.

IPhone 4S stuck in recovery mode after IOS 6.0 update

My iphone 4S is stuck in recovery mode. I connected to iTunes earlier today to update the IOS to 6.0 and that's when it got stuck. From reading phones stuck in recovery mode, it seems like it is happening with this software update. Why didn't they tell us there would be an issue and pull the update.
I have an appt at the Genius desk later today. My question is this; I have phone messages on my phone, I listed to messages that ATT saves on their server and the older ones on my phone are not in their current 20 list. When my phone is restores, will all of the phone messages still be on my phone? How about all of the photos I took this week? Last time I synched was more than a week ago.
The phone messages are very important to me. I can't loose them. My son died this summer and 2 of the messages are from him.

If your phone is in recovery mode, all data on the phone are gone. If your messages were not previously backed up, then they are forever gone.

This reply isn't to shorty2006, that post was awhile ago. This is for everyone that updates itunes and gets an error that their phone is now in Recovery mode.
I've been researching all night and even thought about downloading several different things that were suppose to get my phone out of "Recovery" mode. Then I thought about taking my phone to the Apple store after work tomorrow. I then found this blog and read coltonkj's entry and tada! I took a big breath and hit "restore". It worked, it put me back to the page where you can select to restore the last back-up. Shooooo!!!!

IPhone 3G Stuck in Recovery Mode After Trying to Update to 3.1.3

I have read through the similar issues posted on here and there have been no definitive answers.
My dad hadn't updated his iPhone 3G to 3.1.3 yet, so we connected it today and chose to update. It downloaded the update, went through the install on the phone, then went into recovery mode and iTunes says it detected phone in recovery mode you must restore. I tried to restore and it just does the same.
I have uninstalled/reinstalled itunes, deleted and re-downloaded 3.1.3.
My dad's computer is Vista 32 that we are doing this on.
Any help would be appreciated.

Awesome, thanks!! I actually read on another forum about doing that on an XP computer because Vista and 7 drivers get screwed up for the iPhone, so I just got done doing it on an XP computer and it WORKED!!!!

Iphone 4s stuck in recovery mode after trying to update

So basically i was on iOS 7.0.0 and when my phone was below 10% and i tried to charge it, it would keep turning on and off every 2 minutes. Somebody had told me to update to the latest version of iOS, so I did. While downloading the new version onto my phone an error code popped up (error 29) and the update bar was only half full. Ever since then my phone has been stuck in Recovery Mode and I have tried everything I know to fix it. Please help.

Take your time... Pay particular attention to Steps 3 and 4.

I have the same problem today. I accidentally let it slip off my lap right in the middle of the restore. I didn't capture the error code when failed but now I just have a black screen with the itunes logo. It isn't displayed in Windows explorer or itunes, however I do hear my computer acknowledge something has been plugged in when I disconnect the cable and reconnect. What should I do?
