IPhone 5S trouble with Go Daddy email
I have an iPhone 5S (iOS 7.1.2) but I'm having trouble with Go Daddy email (C-Panel). I've already contacted Go Daddy about the issue and spent a few hours without any luck. The Go Daddy agent was able to setup my email with no problem and said he couldn't see an issue on their side:
Issues:
1- cannot delete messages on the inbox (it states "unable to move message, this message could not be moved to mailbox trash".
2- cannot edit draft email started on Outlook. when I check iPhone, the draft is synced, but cannot edit it to send it from iPhone.
3- cannot see sent messages. If I send message from Outlook, it shows up on my sent items in iPhone. However, if I send or reply to message from iPhone, the message gets to the recipient, but I have no backup of the message because it does not show up on my Outlook or my iPhone.
Please help. Thank you.
Hey Anshul,
1) here is the screenshot of the website on a mobile device. the entire website is cropped on every page. the link to the website is goodmothergallery.com
2) also when i add hyperlinks to any text or image and then export the site to publish it says the hyperlinks did not work.
3) last question is when your navigating the website and scroll over for instance the 'saving bubba' article we would like to make that image clickable to navigate you directly to the article. is that possible at all and if so how would I go about doing so?
Thank you so much! Extremely helpful!

Why does my iphone come up with a different email when updating apps?
why does my iphone come up with a different email when updating apps?
Everytime I go to update my apps some other persons email or AppleID comes up and I have to cancel. its annoying enough to have to update all the time but now I have about100 update notifications (don't judge, you probably have a ton of apps too..haha) that are sitting idol, what's up how do I fix?
thx
Jackie
p.s. not updating to iOS6 yetI'm sorry Allan, I should have clarified, your answer is improbable (well the first part atleast).
The apps I have had since the first week of purchase of my iphone back in 2011, I have not added any apps until 2 months before the last software update. This starting happening when the new software was implemented but I have not updated to iOS6 yet. Unless this person was able to hack into my account & transfer them to their account, I do not see how that is possible.
Prior to seeing this other AppleID, I have a popup to prompt me for my AppleID each time I download content. Each time I would see mine and enter my password. -
Trouble with My University Email
I am having some trouble with my university email. It is an exchange server or an Outlook Web Access Server. Any ideas?
I am sorry. I was a little vague in my description. I will try to be more comprehensive this time around. I can get email in from the Outlook server. How ever I can't seem to send any out. Now I followed the same steps that Apple gives you for when you can receive but can't send out, and I still can't get it to work.
Here are my settings just in case:
IMAP Account
Server name is smtp.mailbox.sc.edu
Using SSL port 993
and password protected
I hope this helps. -
I'm setting up do daddy email on my iPad, I can receive and even send email, but I can't get the curser into the subject line or into the body of the text? The settings appear to be correct. Anyone have any ideas?
I dont care if its one year old or ten. I am having this problem NOW.
And no, i dont want to log into go daddys webmail everytime I check my email. I want to use my mac mail which i use on my laptop and my iphone and is all synched up and has smart folders, etc, etc. web mail is lame and inefficient.
Godaddy works fine for a couple weeks, then has all sorts of problems. Then it works ffine for a month - then problems. Just trying to see if others have the same issue and what they did to resolve it - besides ditching godaddy and finding someone else, which I will do at a last resort. I never had these problems with Cox, but Cox does not support IMAP, so I switched to GoDaddy because they do. Been having sporadic problems ever since. -
Iphone 5 trouble with charging, please help?
Haven't had my iPhone for long (around November for my birthday) and for about the last couple of weeks recently I have had major trouble with the battery charge.
At first I thought it was the cables, so I got new one after new one and they'd work but then stop working. Until the last one I just purchased, it pretty much stopped charging the phone straight away. No lightening or sound response, no connection via computer etc. So, when my charge ran out I still had it plugged into my computer and now my phone only chargers when it's off when it's plugged into a USB port (bear in mind, it doesn't connect to iTunes-it says USB is unrecognized although it still chargers the phone when off). However, it charges fairly quickly when off but when in use the charge diminishes just as quick as it takes to charge. Not only that but now whenever I wish to turn my iPhone off, it turns itself back on.
I have recently sent off my phone to the Apple store to have it checked over and it came back to me saying they couldn't reproduce the symptons I had mentioned so there was me thinking everything was fine but nope, still faulty. So a bit disappointed with paying £7.00 for delivery to have nothing been done about it (not only that, but the phone as also out of charge when returned so it just seemed like my phone wasn't looked over one bit). Also a bit disappointed and annoyed at the fact I'm still paying for my monthly contract for the phone when I am unable to use it!!!
I haven't damaged the phone (it basically looks brand new) and haven't exposed it to any liquids. The USB port on my phone where I charge it seems clear too.
The annoyance of having to send it back to Apple costing me more money is offputting so does anyone have any other suggestions? I'm going to my local 3 store to see if they can help me out but I'm just a bit fed up now. Can see this is a popular problem amongst other iPhone users too.
Many thanks!
(Oh and need to add I HAVE updated everything on my phone, restored everything, restarted etc.)Yeah I went to the 3 store and they said that it costs if they find it's a software issue (which I believe isn't fair). However, after sending mine off and having it back exactly the same I headed off to the 3 store and asked to see what they could do for me. Of course, they can't touch Apple phones so they kindly phoned Apple again for me to only say that Apple have NO record of me even sending my phone off even though I have written and e-mail proof. They then said that they replaced my phone in which they didn't. So I spoke to the senior supervisor who said for me to send it off again (yawn) but to be replaced and if it doesn't then I have to e-mail her directly. It's such an annoying issue because I'm still paying for my phone when I can't even use it.
My advice is, definitely go to the store. Even-though they can't actually replace it there and then or send it off themselves to be repaired but they (should) phone up Apple and help you further. Apple shouldn't be asking you for such an upfront cost without even looking at your phone as it could be another issue.
That's me up to date. Sending it off tomorrow, hopefully receive a replaced working phone now. -

IPhone - having trouble setting up bellsouth email account
My sister just bought the new iPhone 3gs and we can't seem to set up her e-mail account on it. I have the "old" iPhone 3g and have the same email settings as she does (bellsouth.net) and was able to set it up prior to upgrading to the new 3.0 software. I am not sure if that would be an issue. We have followed the directions (fill in her name, e-mail address, password, press save and then it stays on that screen forever) and nothing happens.
Has this happened to anyone else? Any suggestions?
Thanks,
LinaiTunes will have a radio button or something like it on the PC version. Look under the Info tab with the phone selected in iTunes. Go to the mail accounts and select the account. If that doesn't work, log onto Bell South and look up email settings. I use a Mac too. There is a note, FYI, that states to add accounts, do it on the iPhone...... I'm hoping the account is already there for you. Good luck.

Hi, using iPhone 5 trouble with the "mail"
Hi!
Okay so I'm using the mail app that already comes with the phone and my problem is I need to organize my messages by SENDER & still in the conversation mode, so I can see the previous thread. I have multiple people using the same subject line usually as "hey" so it gets all jumbled up together and so confusing! But I need it still in the conversation mode so I can see what was previously said! This is very important so help asap would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you in advance!

Trouble with SAPconnect / sending email in ABAP-code
Hi,
with the code below I try to send an email from ABAP outside
to an mail-account in the internet.
I'll get no error/exceptions but the mail will be not send
to the internet-mail-account.
In Transaktion SCOT I checked the SAPconnect-Node "INT"-"SMTP".
There is a mailserver with the right IP und the right Port. So I don't understand
what could be the problem!?
Can anybody help me and say me why the code below doesn't works?
Best wishes!

sebastian eckesSAP is a robust system, which gives many facilities in the form of Function Modules (FMs) for connecting to external systems or for use within the system. With a clever use of these FMs we can achieve a lot of things through ABAP code.
This article focuses on ways to send E-mails and SAP Mails using ABAP code.
Firstly SAP Mail
A SAP mail is a mail internal to the SAP system. It is a very good forum to exchange information with other users. Using a SAP mail in ABAP code facilitates exchange of automatic messages at various stages of the business process. It is easy to use and saves many hassles involved in using workflows for exchanging messages.
The ABAP code to send a sap mail is built around the FM SO_OBJECT_SEND which has the following pattern.
call function 'SO_OBJECT_SEND'
exporting
EXTERN_ADDRESS = ' '
FOLDER_ID = ' '

Export Parameters Name and Description Field name Field function
Object_id_new Contains object id of document created during send process
Sent_to_all X indicates that document was sent to all recipients. Flag is not activated if sending fails in one or more cases
Main Exceptions Name and Description Description
Too_much_receivers Number of recipients is greater than number for which sender is authorised to send
Object_not_sent Document was not delivered to any of the recipients
Object_not_exist Document class specified does not exist or cannot be sent
Object_no_authorisation Document could not be sent as one of the required authorisations does not exist
Parameter_error Invalid combination of parameter values transferred to FM
X_error Internal error occurred
Once all the parameters and table interfaces are properly filled, call the function module to send the SAP mail to the recipient inbox.
Care should be taken to report the status of execution of the function module to the user using one of the exceptions defined (refer function module pattern above)
Though SAP mail is a very robust method of interacting with users within SAP system, it is always good to receive email in Microsoft inbox. This also works like an additional notification to users in case they do not check SAP mail regularly. The next article covers sending E-mails using ABAP.
Sending Email to a non-SAP system:
Though SAP mail is a very robust method of interacting with users within SAP system, it is always good to receive email in Microsoft inbox. This also works like an additional notification to users in case they do not check SAP mail regularly.
Sending an email to the Microsoft Inbox is a way of interacting with a non SAP system through ABAP code and hence is very interesting. A fair knowledge of UNIX shell scripting is assumed here.
The ABAP code to send an email to Microsoft inbox revolves around following UNIX script
Echo "From:" "<"$1">" > <unix file path name>
Echo "To:" "<"$2">" >> <unix file path name>
Echo "Subject:" "<"$3">" >> <unix file path name>
Cat $4 >> <unix file path name>
Uuencode $5 $6 >> <unix file path name>
Cat <unix file path name> | /usr/sbin/sendmail f $fraddr $toaddr
(Note : the commands in the above script can be case sensitive. Check the actual case on the unix installation in question)
Let us understand the various parts of the above script.
$1 = Sender email address
$2 = Recipient email address
$3 = Subject of the email
$4 = Path of unix server file having email body
Form email body as an internal table in ABAP program, download it to a unix server file
$5 = Path of unix server file to be sent as email attachment
$6 = Name to be given to the attachment (like test1.doc, test1.xls). The corresponding Microsoft icon
will be shown in the email for the type of file attached ( Word document, excel document etc)
The script builds a temporary file and pipes the file to the sendmail command to achieve the mission.
This script can be invoked from SAP to send the mail to the intended recipient. Store this small script on the unix server. (Assume script name is sndmail )
To do this we should define a link in the SAP system between a customized command and this unix script.
The FM to define a customized command in SAP system has the following pattern.
call function 'SXPG_CALL_SYSTEM'
exporting
commandname =
PARAMETERS = ' '
importing
status =
tables
exec_protocol =
exceptions
no_permission = 1
command_not_found = 2
parameters_too_long = 3
security_risk = 4
wrong_check_call_interface = 5
program_start_error = 6
program_termination_error = 7
x_error = 8
parameter_expected = 9
too_many_parameters = 10
illegal_command = 11
others = 12.
In the next article we will understand the main parameters and table interfaces of the FM.
Import Parameters Name and Description Field name Field function
Commandname Name of unix shell script or command to be executed by SAP Name of unix shell script to be invoked
Parameters The parameters to be sent to unix shell script ($1, $2 etc). Send parameters as a concatenated string separated by space and length not exceeding 128 characters For eg in UNIX environment the above shell script would be executed as Sndmail [email protected] [email protected] Trial /home/test.doc testmail.We will be simulating this command using the FM from SAP system
Table Parameters Name and Description Field Name Field function
Exec_protocol (structure) Table to get messages from unix server after shell script is executed Length Length of the message from external program i.e unix
Message Log message from external program i.e unix
Export Parameters Name and Description Field name Field function
Status Contains the status of execution of external program Scheduling status of external program i.e unix
Once the above FM is invoked with the necessary parameters the unix program sendmail will send a mail to the inbox of the recipient in Microsoft.
The restriction on the parameter string length of 128 characters can be removed to make way for very long email addresses and subjects. Build the parameters into an internal table and download it as a file on the unix server. Instead of passing each parameter individually, pass the unix server path of this file as the parameter to the unix shell script (sndmail mentioned above). Modify the shell script to read every line of this parameter file as variables to be used in the shell script.
In the next article we will see an example of the ABAP code you can use to send SAP Mails.

Iphone 5 troubles with charging after update
I have been using my iphone 5 for quite a while now. Never had a single problem charging it. I could plug it in anywhere, and it would charge. I did the last update to 6.1.2 and it quite charging. The computer that I always updated it to and charged it from, stopped charging it. Tried all the different USB ports to no avail. It does however, sync with the computer, but wil not charge. Plugged it into another computer, and it worked just fine. Brought in another computer, and it worked fine again. Plugged it back into the main computer and nothing. Took it home that night, plugged it into the wall and it charged. Plugged it into a battery pack, and got nothing. This is very troublesome to me. Can anyone help?
Hey Lora Claypool,
Thanks for the question. I understand that you are experiencing issues making phone calls with your iPhone 5. The following resource may provide a solution:

I am having problems with my hotmail and live emails and want to cancel them and use icloud email instead, is this possible and how do I do it by creating icloud emails, and using icloud emails
See the link below for how to sign up for and set up an iCloud account, including an @icloud.com email address:
http://www.apple.com/icloud/setup/
You'll need to update your Mac OS to 10.7.5 or later. -
I go to my email account on the server's webpage. Do not use weblive or outlook. When I am typing a long email, it will not save or send because it expires according to a message that comes up from firefox. It is lost.
First, as a workaround, you might be able to use this extension: https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/lazarus-form-recovery/
But we should try to figure out why you are getting logged out. Here are two possibilities:
(1) Connection - Yahoo and AOL may keep demanding a password if your connection setting is "Auto-detect". You can change it to "No Proxy" here:
"3-bar" menu button (or Tools menu) > Options > Advanced > Network mini-tab > "Settings" button
(2) Incomplete cookies - websites maintain access to your session using cookies, so if you are rejecting third party cookies or use an add-on to clean up cookies as you browse, that could cause a problem staying logged in. Sometimes cookies also become corrupted, so the first step would be to flush what you have for the site. (See below)
When you have a problem with one particular site, a good "first thing to try" is clearing your Firefox cache and deleting your saved cookies for the site.
(1) Bypass Firefox's Cache
Use Ctrl+Shift+r to reload the page fresh from the server.
Alternately, you also can clear Firefox's cache completely using:
"3-bar" menu button (or Tools menu) > Options > Advanced
On the Network mini-tab > Cached Web Content : "Clear Now"
If you have a large hard drive, this might take a few minutes.
(2) Remove the site's cookies (save any pending work first). While viewing a page on the site, try either:
* right-click and choose View Page Info > Security > "View Cookies"
* (menu bar) Tools > Page Info > Security > "View Cookies"
In the dialog that opens, you can remove the site's cookies individually.
Then try reloading the page. Does that help? -
Hi I am expiriencing following problems as per attached exhibits:

Exhibit B:
Do any clever boffins know what is up? Preferable directly the Apple "geniuses"Your profile says iPhone 4, is that correct? Do you have file extensions turned off in Windows Explorer? If so, when you turn them on, are you sure this is a jpeg file? If the image viewer cannot open it, then something is going wrong, as the image viewer can open most any kind of image file, including both jpeg and png.
For Exhibit B, I would say it could be a combination of the LED flash and the flourescent light that is causing the lines. It could just be out of sync from the electric 60Hz cycle of the flourescent light.
At first I would recommend a reset. Hold the sleep/wake and home buttons together until you see the Apple logo and then release. But one thing bothers me and that is the fact the Exhibit A picture looks good on the screen of the phone, but then displays this coloration on the computer, as well as giving you a file error. Not sure if that is an iOS issue, or a Windows issue.
