IF you do find a backup that has your contacts; I'd /highly/ recommand turning off your wifi network after the restore is finished because if the issue is with your iCloud your contacts may merge back with her's.
With iCloud you DO NOT want to share the account; bad things happen Evil evil thigns...
But in all seriousness; if two devices have the same iCloud; iCloud is told to merge and sync infomation between hte two and can't tell that it doesn't belong to the same person -
While synching my iPhone, a box popped up and said that so many of my contacts are going to change. That happened before and my contacts and my wifes contacts ended up in each others phones. So we just had to go through and delete the ones we didnt want. When I did it this time, half of my contacts are gone and I have all of my wifes. Any way I can get my contacts back?
You should have been sycning them with your computer all along. Sync them from your computer back to the iphone.

iOS 7 has many multiple tasks. You can save battery life to some extent by few steps. First go to location services and bettr 'Off' them which are not needed. (Ex. Notes.. Reminders.. Etc). Also you can off few apps in 'get notifications' centre. Also usage of 3g by any mobile consumes much battery life. Better to connect any Wi-fi

What update? There was nothing released yesterday relating to iCloud.
Where have you lost your contacts from? Your computer, your phone, iCloud.com?
If they are no longer in any of those places, you'll need to restore them from your most recent backup. -
Unresolved question: all bookmarks on Ipad iOS 6.1.2 are gone and new one cannot be created
Hi, I'll take my chances on this one. There are several posts on the forum addressing this issue. But for me none of them has helped.
By posting this question again, I am hopeful someone can help, I am desperate here:
The issue is bookmarks in Safari in iOs 6.1.2. (Actually, the problem was alreday there in 6.1.1) :
All bookmars are gone, and I am not able to create new bookmarks and/or bookmark folders.
I have now tried all tips I have found here in the support forum, to get my bookmarks back:
1. I have reset my iPad
2. I have deleted cockies and data (several times)
3. I have turned Safari on/off in iCloud sync settings on the iPad
4. I have tried to create new bookmarks and new bookmark folder, but noting gets saved
Now, what to do??Try simply terminating and restarting Safari:
1. Press the Home button
2. Double click the Home button to bring up the "Recent Apps" tray.
3. Touch and hold on the Safari icon in the "Recent Apps" tray until a "-" appears.
4. Touch the "-" to terminate Safari.
5. Restart Safari and see if your Bookmarks are back. -
After I did a backup from iTunes I noticed 3 of my contacts were gone and then tried to restore from a old backup, worked once and now it won't again. Why is iTunes restore not working correctly?
I thought all my contacts were saved in iTunes, never had this problem before. Besides manually restoring them myself, is there any other way to retrive them?iCloud

All my contacts are gone and won't sync up with cloud
After I installed mountain lion on my Mac book pro . My contacts have disappeared and won't sync up from iCloud .
They are on my other devices and on the c.loudI am having the exact same problem. Not only will the contacts not sync, but when contacts is open, it slows down the ENTIRE computer. I installed Mountain Lion last night and the contacts list is the only thing that I have spotted that is having a problem. I even tried exporting the vCards from the iCloud website and contacts still won't accept it. I hope they come out with something to fix this quick.

Is that a bug or Apple decide that iPhone 5 users with iOS 7.1 will have a ugly grey bar and baground around group icons? It's look very bad before update background color was selected from color of background somehow... But now when i change to any wallpaper I still have grey one...

Iphone 5s with ios 8.0.2: wifi slower and can't connect
Hi all,
I regret that I updating my iphone 5s to ios 8.0.2 last night. Now, I'm facing an issue when using wifi.
It always disconnected from the router and it's slower.
I can't connect to some wifi also, it just showing the load without connecting to the wifi.
I did a fresh install, reset everything but didn't help much.
Amazingly 3G(I know it's lame, I live in the third world country) is better than the wifi.

Thanks for the question. Based on what you stated, it seems like the iPhone wont connect to the iTunes Store. I would recommend that you read this article, it may be able to help you resolve or isolate the issue.

Can you help me?hi . I had the simalar problems of my HP b209a-m printer not being seen on my wireless network> I could not add the printer and could not get the printer to join my network, I found this post at HP discussion and it worked!
Each printer has different options/settings but it seems like the general idea should work ok if you can reset printer back to factory settings and find Printer IP Adress.
This is for HP printers
1. On the printer navigate to the Wireless or Network menu.
2. Select Restore Defaults.
3. On your computer look for a wireless network named 'hpsetup' and connect to it.
4. Print a Wireless Network Test from the front of the printer to see its IP address. (on my b209a-m Printer the IP info was found by pressing the Wireless Icon)
5. Type the IP address into the address bar of a web browser to see the printer's internal settings.
6. Click on the Network tab and look for the Wireless Setup Wizard and run it.
7. The Passphrase is the password you use on your wireless connection.
8. Now change the network name on your computer back to your wireless network.
The printer will now be connected to your network. With your the computer backyour wireless network network, you can re-add the printer from System Preferences.
Hope this works--- it did for me.

Can anyone help me?If you are using a Windows PC, open "my computer", click "owner", click on contacts. Are your contacts that where on your phone there?? To back up contactson your pc next time you sync, under devices in iTunes, click on your phone, then on "Info" at the top. Now check Sync Info with, and choose windows contacts. This is where mine are on a windows vista pc. Hope this helps you.

Is anyone else seeing this? How did this get through QA testing?
Here is my update on this issue. This isn't normal. I spoke to several tech support people, sr tech support people, etc and we found out that somehow my battery was damaged during the update. They found this out by sending me a diagnostic file via sms. I was sent into the apple store to replace my phone. I had it a little under a year, with 40 days left on my warranty. When I went to the store I was able to show the rep at the store the issue described in this thread. He just scratched his head. It was a quick swap. I spent a lot of time trying to fix this issue. I tried everything. Removing itunes_control files, several restores, starting from scratch. I could duplicate the issue every time. It's a bug and I'm sure it will be addressed. If you are still under warranty, I would recommend getting it checked by an apple tech to see if it messed up your battery and perhaps get it replaced. Battery issues on these devices cause lots of problems.
