IPhone 5s won't update to iOS 8.0.2

My iPhone 5s won't update to iOS 8.0.2. I had been using beta versions of iOS 8 but even though there is a '1' in the Software Update box, it tells me my software is up to date (iOS 8).
However, I also get messages telling me my current iOS will expire in x days. I now have dozens of apps waiting to update, telling me I have to upgrade to iOS 8.0.1 or later.
I've tried to manually install iOS 8.0.2 but I get a message saying the firmware isn't compatible.
Any ideas?

I got instructions to connect my iPhone4 to iTunes. Each time I was prompted to restore the phone, I ended up getting an error message that the iPhone could not be restored. I checked that I had the latest version of iTunes-I did. I tried two more times and got the same error message. I disconnected the usb/phone, closed iTunes, and restarted the computer. This time the restore worked and iOS6 loaded. Unfortunately, the last backup to iCloud that I was told I had was in June. Don't know why this happened as it should have backed up every day. Now I am working through restoring my settings and apps from the last three months. Thankfully, I didn't 'upgrade' my iPad, so I have a template off of which to work. I hope this helps.

Brand new iPhone 5s won't update to iOS 7.0.2

I just got a 5s about five hours ago and it won't update to iOS 7.0.2 because it says it's still restoring- it's not. I've tried restarting the phone but that didn't help.

Did you setup as new iPhone or restore from iCloud? If iCloud it must be doing restore in background for apps and data. Check in settings -iCloud and wait for couple off hours.

My mom's iPhone decided to automatically update for iOS 7 over night and now it's stuck in recovery mode. We've followed the instructions and left it plugged it to iTunes but it never downloads the update. It continuously pops up with a screen saying the phone needs to be reset to factory settings. This is extremely aggravating since her phone doubles as a house phone. Is anyone else having this issue or know how to fix it? I updated my iPhone 4S with ease so I don't understand what the issue is with my moms phone.

Hey there I seem to be having this software update with my iPhone 5 software. Previously when iOS 7 had come out... I had tried to update my phones software by using iTunes and it would go 3/4 way through and a message would come up saying that the software update was unsuccessful or cancelled. So I just ignored it and continued using my old software. This past week, I had tried to update my phone software to iOS 8 using Wifi methods and it did the very same thing again.
I don't know what is happening with it and I would really appreciate your help.

Dear Apple,
The saturay after ios 7 came out I tried to update it over wifi on my iphone, but I got an error message. So I gave up and told myself to try again later that week and so yesterday and today I tried and on my phone it said I did not have the correct amount of space, but I did and I had just deleted somethings to make room anyways. So today I tried on my Macbook Pro, and it said I did not have the right build and so now I am here writing to you.

IPhone 5S won't update to iOS 8.3

I have a 5S and am on iOS 8.0.2 at the moment. As the title says, it won't update to 8.3. It is downloaded, and I click Install Now and get as far as accepting the terms and agreements, and then it does nothing. It just stays on the terms and agreements page. The phone doesn't freeze, and I can close Settings, re-open and try again, but it just does the same thing. Any suggestions? Am I being thick and there is a simple explanation?!

Iphone 4 won't update to iOS 5 and I think it's my itune's fault

So my iphone has been stuck in this outdated ios for more than a year. Whenever I try to press update to install the iOS 5.1 (or something like that), it says something along the lines of "the iphone software update server could not be contacted." Now I think this is itune's fault because I cannot access the itunes store on it either (possibly a network issue or something?), but when I connect my phone to my computer and access the itunes store through the itunes app on my phone, it works fine. Also, since this is pre-iOS 5, I cannot update straight from my phone, and I'm just overall lost on what to do
It's really irritating not having the chance to put new apps into my phone and it;s just overall really tiring. I'm also inexperienced with fixing network issues etc etc so any detailed and guided help would be much appreciated. I have a iphone 4 and a Windows 7 tower PC.

WHen I go into settings on my phone to update it says it needs at least 2.5 of memory to update. My phone has plenty of memory but won't let me install IOS 6. What do I do?

sounds like your phone is jailbroken which means it can't be discussed here, find help on the jailbreak forums.

I was wondering if I could get some help with this. My phone is currently operating the iOS 8.0 software and I am trying to upgrade it to the iOS 8.0.2, but every time I do a pop up box appears saying unable to check for update, an error occurred while checking for a software update, try again or cancel.
When I plug the device into my macbook pro and start up iTunes to update it that way, I click on update and a box pops up with contacting the iPhone update server, but then nothing happens. I get the blue and white lines box with an option to stop. I let it run, but no update.
I can't update any of my apps and I can't re add Facebook app to my phone.
Does anyone have any options or suggestions?

After reading your post, it sounds like you are experiencing an error when attempting to update. You may want to consider restarting the device first, and then resetting if that does not work. This article provides detailed instructions for Restarting, and Reseting:
Turn your iOS device off and on (restart) and reset
How to restart
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button on the top of your device until the red slider appears. Then drag the slider to turn your device completely off.
After the device turns off, press and hold the Sleep/Wake button again until you see the Apple logo.
How to reset
You should reset your device as a last resort and only if you can't restart it.
To reset, press and hold both the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons for at least 10 seconds, until you see the Apple logo.

IPhone 3gs won't update to ios 5.1.1 PLEASE HELP!

I got an iPhone 3GS from a friend thats running 4.3.3 and when i try to update it to 5.1.1 it says "isnt compatible with this build" or something like that. Also its jail broken (updating issue also happened before it was jailbroken) and everytime i try to erase all content and settings it just gets stuck so then i will just turn it off and back on again and it works still. Does anybody know how to fix these two things?

Try restoring it through iTunes.
