Iphone 6 app store slow download and update over wifi

Just recently noticed, my iphone 6 app store takes more than 20 min to update and download apps with wifi. With my carrier's LTE downloads and updates are fine. I've done speed tests as well on my iphone using home wifi, with good results. Surfing the net, and using other apps using home wifi works fine as well. App store downloads and updates are my only problem. Tried doing resets to no avail.
Anyone else experiencing this problem?

is anyone with an iPhone 6+ experiencing slow download and slow video streaming online? I have had the iPhone 6 Plus and I've been experiencing my app is downloading a lot slower and being unable to stream videos online

I hope someone from Apple is monitoring this site. Three days apps will not update, iOS8.0. Support told me to update to iOS8.02. Can't do that over WIFI or Cell network. Supports tells me have to link to iTUNES and do this. That takes three trys. Did that. Apps still not updating. Read online that resetting network settings will help. Did that App's hanging and not updating.
Apple how does this happen. Night before iOS8.0 release you pull things because of some security issue. Then you have iOS8.01 fiasco and now this. Can someone get this right. We use these things for more than just phones now. FIX IT

iam using iphone4 for more than a six months. but for the last 10days i can't able to access the itunes store to download a app or to update it. what should i do. my itunes is opening properly. i can download videos pictures and songs from my system. the problem is only with itunes stores. i also updated the account information. which also doesnt got solved the problem. what should i do??

Sorry, my bad, we have the iMac G5 10.6.8. I just got home and the message said an error occurred and was unable to download. Am I doing something wrong or is there something I need to do.

App Store won't show updates if automatic update is disabled

After updating to iOS 7, I enabled automatic updating of Apps in the App Store. I decided I didn't want to do that so I then disabled it. That was yesterday. Today the App Store update page didn't show any pending updates despite having a badge number (which went away when I went into the store). I knew there were updates since they downloaded to iTunes yesterday so I tried killing the App Store app and loading it again, but nothing changed. Finally I enable automatic updates and sure enough the App Store showed there were 11 pending updates and started downloading them.
When it was done, I turned automatic updates off again, but the App Store doesn't appear to check for or show updates if downloading of automatic updates is turned on and then back of. Is this working for anyone?

I am having similar problems. The App Store icon badge is not updating. I do not use automatic updates. I update all my apps on iTunes on a Windows PC and then sync my iPads and iPhone. The icon badge does not update until the App Store is initiated and Updates is selected. Another strange behavior is that if App Store was initiated and Updates was selected with one or more updates displayed AND the the device is locked, when the device is unlocked the Updates display will be cleared and indicate that all apps are up to date!!!! The App Store must be exited and Updates reselected before the updates are displayed and the appropriate icon badge count is displayed.
You can only rely on an appropriate update count on the device by initiating the App Store (from the Home screen) and selecting Updates.

Your Apple ID is tied to the US store. Log out of the store, then trying logging back in.

iTunes Support wasn't of any use to me.
I have also been having another problem - with BBC iPlayer and other video streaming not working due to insufficient bandwidth, despite my overall download speed being consistently around 50Gb. This is also affecting AppleTV downloads
I am using Virgin Media as my ISP, and was wondering whether you do as well. This might be the common thread.

Your advice did not help me. I also installed 10.7.4 combo but the situation is the same.
my internet connection is ok, mail is ok, but app store after 3 resets does not recognize my ID and it says "connection is not possible". Why? My iPod touch 4th gen 32gb verson 4.3.1 is downloading and updating apps very slow more than an hour. I just got it a day ago and I backed up all my apps music and pictures and videos from iTunes. Few months ago I had an iPod touch but I lost it and it was working fine. Luckily before I lost it i backed up everything to iTunes so now everything that was in my old iPod is now in my new iPod. Anyways, When I first bought it I straight away backed up everything and saw that i had many updates on my apps. I started updating it all at once but even the first one was not loading at all and mty ipod was hanging many times during the updates so i cancelled all the updates. i even tried it on my computer and it was taking forever but my laptop does updating and downloading apps slower than my ipod so that doesnt matter. Even when I download an app on my iPod now its take more that an hour. So i was wondering, is my iPod slow cause I backed up too many things when i just got it . I have about 120 apps 150 plus photos and 70 videos and I backed it up all in one night on the day i got my ipod. So now I'm restoring my iPod and updating it to IOS 5 and see what happens. Hopefully it will be faster then but I still need to know what is main problem of m iPod hanging and slow updating/downloading. Need a reply ASAP. Thanks

Still you can switch it off while syncing.
You can also do a reset (Hold Sleep/Wake and Home buttons about 10 secs or more till Apple logo appears)
