Iphone 6 battery. Is this even normal? Help!
Please help me! I'm going crazy! I did all the tips to fix it
but nothing seems to work.
That's a nice grand of hardware you got. But you have to remember, this is a powerful phone, and when games leverage the new graphics, it's going to drain the power pretty quick.
Think about it like this- Driving a car with a fairly small fuel tank in a straight line (ad infinitum) with the gas pedal pressed all the way to the floor.
What's going to run out pretty quickly? The petrol/gas right?
Same principle applies, use the screen and processors for a long time and your battery will run out quick.
I have used the 5-series of iPhones, constant web use runs the battery down in about 3 hours. If I turn the screen off and stream music from Pandora/Spotify the phone will run for 4 hours on cellular data.
What uses the most power in a phone? In descending order of power demanding- the screen, processor/graphics, cellular radios, and then wifi.
Solution, plug your phone in or don't play the game so frequently. Plus, you might want to consider playing Sims on the computer.

Hi i received the nano 7th gen for Christmas and I only seem to get 5 hours of battery life. I use the Bluetooth and Nike app so I expect more drain on the battery. But I got more time out of running with my iPhone. Does this sound normal? I thought I should get close to 30 hrs of just play time alone.
ALso, my wife got me the Belkin armband to run with the nano but I sweat through the band resulting in the back of the iPod to get wet. Surely this is not good. Anyone have a recommendation for an armband that keeps moisture away from the pod?iPod Nano are small and they don't use Wi-Fi access so you get less power time on a Nano. As for iPhone, since you got apps, Wi-Fi + 3G access, and everything else, they give you more time so you can keep using. Nanos are ment to listen to music, listen to radio, view your photos, watch videos (without Wi-Fi) and since you got BlueTooth on the nano, it counts as wireless access so it drains your battery faster.

I'm having issues with my battery - does this sound normal?
I've had my 13in MBP barely 8 months and its been going downhill for the last month or 2 now.
When i first got it, the battery was great- the battery estimate consistently said 9 hours plus after a full charge and it would easily do this- i got a whole day of web browsing at uni and and hour or 2 of Illustrator and still had some battery left when i got home.
For the last 2 months however, the battery has been pants. The highest estimate value i get when i turn on after a full charge is around 3-4 hours and its not lasting well at all, I can browse the internet for an hour or 2 and the battery drops rapidly - i loose between 30-50% in this short space of time. I would expect this kind of drop if i am using a high power program such as the adobe suite but for just browsing the internet (not even streaming videos just normal web) this seems a lot.
It has had some abuse (99 cycles already) but it still seems to have just gone quickly.
i downloaded the coconut battery app and it says my battery capacity has dropped to 90%, is this normal for an 8 month old machine? i expected to have to replace the battery eventually but if its deteriorating this quickly its going to get expensive :|After 99 cycles, you can expect a certain loss of charge with a lithium battery. But before you become too concerned, I'd like to give some advice that might make things easier.
I haven't used your MBP, but I can almost guarantee that your battery is suffering from lithium battery fatique. It happens when your battery is hot all the time. Even doing mundane activities like web browsing, heat reduces the performance of lithium batteries.
Your battery health is a bit lower than some, given the vintage of your machine, but it's well within an acceptable range - especially since it's getting a lot of use. But I'll suggest a few hints that might cut down on the wear and tear on your battery.
- Keep your machine cool! Make this a priority. I've seen some MBP users with their machines on their laps - which doubles the temperature. Take breaks in your routine to keep your machine cool. You might want to download a free application like SMC Fan Control. Use a cooling pad. Reduce the brightness of your machine.
- Think about using your power cable more. You can cut down on battery use simply by using the power cable judiciously. You won't have to worry about the amount of cycles if it's getting powered through the power cable.

Iphone battery running down even when placed on charging
havinbg charging issuess...
evan after installing ios 6 ...the chatging issue persist,...
while i am charging the phone either via laptop or plug...the battery percentage runs down with time...
and slowly the phone doesnt turn up.
its being long that the phone is neither picking up the chatging nor it is turning on....
i went to apple retail store..they just did factory restore setting..but still the problem is there and am unable to use my phone..as it is not turning on..

How to replace iphone Battery?
This can only be done by Apple or a certified repair shop - in fact Apple would probably simply replace the phone (at a cost) as they do with iPods. It's a big weakness, but it's the cost of the snazzy slim design. I think they must be gambling on most people upgrading their phones every year or eighteen months.
Having said that this site provides information on doing it yourself for an iPhone 4 - I don't know whether there similar sites for the latest models - but I am not recommending that you do this: you would find it tricky at least, you might well damage something, and you will get no help from Apple if you do. -
The battery of my iPhone 5 easily discharges even when not in use. The unit was tested by Apple and passed the Battery Health Test although the performance showed otherwise. The battery deterioration started 11 months after purchase and is not covered by Apple warranty. What is the problem of the iPhone5 and would appreciate suggestions on how to address this problem. By the way, I have a 2 year old iphone 4S with a battery performance as good as when it was bought two years ago.

My iphone 5s (7.1) has permanently the search icon, as if searching network. This affects the speed of email and consumes a lot of battery. This happens even with all applications closed. I have restored the iPhone but the problem persists. Does anyone have an idea of the solution?

Is this really normal battery drain for a new iPhone? Unconvinced...
I have a brand new iPhone. And I like it very much. But two days in, I am already finding myself charging it twice a day. I realise I'm probably using it a fair bit because it's new and exciting, but I can't help but wonder if it's draining faster than it should be even in standby. I charged it before going to a party tonight and now I'm back, results are below.

Push was off, emails fetched hourly. Active usage was mostly Facebook and browsing after getting home. Coming fresh from standby before that browsing, it was about 85% full.
Is this drain normal for usage like this? I am sceptical (and not sure how else to check if I'm right...)It may be your exchange account or even your mail account. As they continue to connect to the server and checking for new e-mails. Here is what you can do. Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calanders. From there tap on your mail account, delete it, and do a hard reset by holding the power button (top) and the home button for 10-15 seconds until apple logo appears (ignore the red slider). Once your phone powers back up, recreate your mail account.
but I would say that should be about right. It all depends on what you do. Personally, about 1 hour 30 minute usage will get me about average of 75%, depending on what I do. Currently, my usage time is 3 hr. 11 min. at 46% Standby at 8 hour 17 min. 7 hour is a good average of usage before the phone dies. -
I have updated my iphone this evening and is has asked me to connect my phone to itunes, I connected it to a computer with itunes and it says it needs restoring? and all my images etcwill be earsed I need help as I have not backed my iphone up previously please help?
YOur phone is in recovery mode, any data that was on there is already gone, you will have to restore your phone and use whatever backup you to restore to.

was updating itunes and backing up my iphone 4 at the same time then itunes said it need to shut down the computer sill me asumed the back up had finished (it hadn't) and now all i got is half of the pictures i had nothing else i really really need it all back is there any way to do this even if i have to send my phone away??? please i need help..

Don't worry, just follow these steps to fix iPhone stuck on Apple logo
=> First of all Start your Computer and then connect with Internet connection, now Download the latest version of the iTunes application
=> Now install the iTunes application in your System and connect your Device with computer via Data cable
=> Now connect your Device with iTunes application and then Tab on summary option, see in the left side bar of iTunes
=> Now Select restore option from iTunes and then confirm the Restore Message for better results. After this unplug your Device and Restart it

My iphone turns off and shows the 'no battery' image every time even though it has plenty of battery sometimes it even has 100%. If i take this to the apple store will they charge me to get it fixed?

Activating Facetime and Imessages on your phone requires the ability to send SMS messages and depending upon where you are that might be an international SMS. Check with your carrier to see if your plan supports sending of international SMS messages. If you are having trouble activating Facetime or Imessages turn them both off on your device and reset the device (Hold down the Sleep/Wake button and the home button together until the apple logo appears (ignore the ON/OFF slider) then let both buttons go and wait for device to restart (no data will be lost)). Wait for the device to restart and wait a minute and turn Facetime and imessage back on and wait for activation. If that does not fix things read the following articles:
