IPhone 6 bug with texts and lock/sleep mode? HELP!
My phone does not properly search texts. I try to find senders and it does not pull up or not all of them do (referring to individual and group messages). I have to scroll to find the senders I'm looking for. Also, my phone has a delayed reaction when coming out of sleep/lock mode. When I touch my phone to enter my passcode. Is anyone experiencing the same? How do I fix it? Is there some kind of warranty with the software through Apple or my carrier which is Verizon?

Follow the following link to put the phone into DFU:
The screen goes blank (DFU) as apposed to the USB screen which is recovery mode which wont allow the software to be downgraded.

[iPhone] Really struggling with views and transitions. Please Help.
Hello All,
First off let me apologize; I've been trying to do this on my own, reading the docs and guides and such, but I just can not get this to work. I feel like once I understand this scenario I'll be able to learn the rest on my own.
Basically I have a simple sample project structured as follows:
MyAppDelegate: typical delegate class
MainViewController: View controller object associated with the main view
TitleViewController: View controller object associated with the title screen view
NextViewController: View controller object associated with the second view (after title screen)
I currently have 3 nib files, one each associated with MainViewController,TitleViewController, and NextViewContoller
the Title View has a button on it
The desired flow of the application is as such:
1) My AppDelegate initializes MyViewController when it loads
2) MyViewController contains the two other view controllers (they are instance variables in the class)
and loads in the TitleScreen View (via addsubview).
This works fine, I am having trouble with the following:
3) The button on the title screen is pushed telling MyViewController to transition the TitleView out and the NextView in
I have tried modifying the code from the Transition View app but its just too complicated for me at present and I can't get it to work.
Can a kind soul out there please provide detailed assistance...maybe the implementation code for those 4 objects I mentioned.
Maybe we can make some kind of tutorial or guide so that other people will find it useful as a precursor to diving into the Transition View Sample App?
I think it would be interesting to have two versions of this well; one that uses nib files for each view and one that does it all purely programatically. This would definitely help newbies like me see how the nib approach is handled behind the scenes.

the way i did it is slightly different from yours.
on top of
myAppDelegate,
MainViewController, titleViewController, nextViewController (view controllers class)
i have titleView and nextView (view class)
and i did not use addsubview.
inside main view controller you will need to create the titleviewcontroller and nextviewcontroller.
and inside both titleviewcontroller and nextViewController, u need to create the rootViewController and their respective view objects, i.e. titleView or nextView.
inside titleView you define all your methods etc. that will take place in that screen. and place your button code here.
i've managed to trace my footsteps, and found out that the metronome sample code will be easier to understand.

No screensaver and monitor sleep mode

I have the following problem with my Mac Pro (Early 08) and MacBook Pro 2.33 GHz. Both are Mac OS X 10.5.4.
I have installed the latest Security Update 2008-005. After installation both computers have similar problem with Screensaver and display sleep mode. Both simple don't start. I mean that my laptop and desktop computer don't start screensaver and after some time they don't turn off attached monitor (respectively built-in display).
I also tried to change time of both things (screensaver time and "monitor sleeping mode" time) to different time. I also restarted both computers few times already.
My laptop seems working after these "changes and restarts", but Mac Pro doesn't. Monitor is always on.
Please, do you have any info regarding this? I am quite possitive it was caused by mentioned security update, since before that update, both worked perfectly.

Create a new account, name it "test" and see how your monitor and screensaver work in that User acct? (That will tell if your problem is systemwide or limited to your User acct.) This account is just for test, do nothing further with it.
Open System Preferences >> Accounts >> "+" make it an admin account.
If the problem is present in the test account also, then it is systemwide. In this case try repairing this with the 10.5.4 Combo Update . This is a fuller install, as opposed to an incremental "delta" update so it should overwrite any files that are damaged or missing. It does not matter if you have applied it before.
Remember to Verify Disk before update and repair permissions after update from /Applications/Utilities/Disk Utility.
If the problem does not appear in the test account try starting in "Safe Mode" (It will take a bit more time to startup because it runs a directory check first).
If that works go to System Preferences >> Accounts >> Login Items and remove them. Boot normally and test. If there are still problems, go to ~(yourHome)/Library/Contextual Menu Items and move whatever is there to the desktop. Then do the same with /Library/Contextual Menu Items. Lastly, try moving /Users/Home)/Library/Fonts to your desktop and restarting.
Log out/in or restart, if that sorts it start putting items back one at a time until you find the culprit.

I have a connection in the top left hand corner and can access the internet with and without internet on my iphone 5c but I can't receive and create texts and calls, someone please help have tried everything!
YOu will need to contact your cell phone provider to resolve those issue, those are carrier features.

my iphone 4 turned black today and my sleep(lock) button doesnt work. I have tried to let it charge to see if it would restart but still nothing. what else can i do to turn it back on??
Unless somebody else has a micracle workaround I don't know. Probably get the phone in for repair since it has been living on borrowed time so far and now you absolutely must have a working button.

My hard drive died last week, and I needed to install a new one. Previously, I was able to save a .doc with text and inserted photo to .pdf and then to .jpg. Now I can get the .pdf but can't determine what to do to convert to .jpg. Does anyone know ?
Rather than do that, which means starting over from scratch, losing all your edits, organisation and so on, why not simply use iPhoto Library Manager to revert the Library to the older version? Easier, less destructive.

If you really want to start over: you can access the Originals folder simply by going to your Pictures Folder and finding the iPhoto Library there. Right (or Control-) Click on the icon and select 'Show Package Contents'. A finder window will open with the Library exposed. -
how do i set text in a object so that object expands with text and has even space on both sides of the object in illustrator cc?
if you see all the different panel. I past the info in and have to manually expand the width of every panel. Is there a way of pasting the text in and the panel moves to the right with so that there is an even space on both sides of the blue panel?

Is it possible to create a JMenu with text and an icon where only the icon brings up the menu and the text behaves like a JMenuItem? How would you do this. Right now I have a JMenuItem next to a JMenu where the JMenu only has an icon. The problem with this is it is seemingly impossible to get them as close together as I would like. Any suggestions for solving the spacing issue would be equally helpfull. Thanks.
From your previous thread you are aware that JMenu and JMenuItem both extend AbstractButton. So, you should be able to play with the borders and margins:

How do you share thousands of pictures with text and captions outside of PSE? (PSE 4)
One of my dad’s retirement passions is family genealogy and old family pictures. Several years ago I gave my family PSE 4.0 for Christmas so that we could each have backup copies of our dad’s pictures. Usually once per year, I made backup copies of everything and emailed the DVDs to my brothers and sisters. Everyone knows the basic PSE 4 functions and share our dad's enjoyment with the old family photos.
My problem is that my dad is running out of pictures to scan. He wants to “share” or “show” his photos with others so that he can “borrow” their photo albums in order to scan their photos. He plans to attend a hometown high school reunion later this fall. He hopes to "collect" photo albums from cousins and classmates. I have been struggling with this for several days without any good ideas.
The scanned pictures lack any text (added as a layer?) or captions. Creating a slideshow (on my dad’s computer is slow). Also, a slideshow doesn’t let others select individual pictures to save from the slide show
He has old pictures pre-PSE 4 that allowed him to add captions directly to the picture when it was scanned. I never liked this approach as it "destroyed" the actual picture but these old pictures are more easily shared as individual pictures.
How do you share thousands of pictures with text and captions outside of PSE? Can you save or export a composite picture with all the layers?
Thanks in advance for your help and replies.I think it is one of the printer option screens that gives me the choice of tabbed 4x6. All of the choices specifiy HP or Other so I am pretty sure it is printer software that offers me this choice.
Make sure your image has a 4x6 aspect ratio. I have been quite happy with the tabbed 4x6. Just need to remember to load the paper with the tab last.
So, in elements you set to 4x6, in printer options you should be able to choose 4x6 tabbed paper. -

Ok let me elaborate this problem little more.
I want to show my text box as it is in normal editors e.g. In Matlab editor. There is a text box and on left side the gray bar shows the line numbers corresponding to the text. Further more i want that the user should be able to click on any line number to mark specific line as breakpoint (red circle or any graphical indication for mark).
