Iphone 6 connection problem

Dear all,
I got my brand new iphone 6, 64g, 2 weeks ago with IOS 8.0. until now.
Everything works fine sofar, but it has a very anonying problem: In about every 2-3 days, the Wifi connetion , as well as the LTE connection to the phone will come to failure, however the display shows it connects properly as usual. Only the date does not load... my other ios devices work all fine and properly at the same time.
The only solution to this is to restart my phone! This becomes really a headache to me.
P.S in the last 3 years i ohly had to restart my iphone4s 2-3 times, but i already did this with my iphone 6 in 2 weeks.
Would be great if you guys can drop some helpful insights!
Best regards
Tao

I have a 2010 Audi A6 and couldn't use my iPhone 6 Plus with iOS 8.0.2 in my cars Bluetooth. Here is what helped me:
Delete Bluetooth devices on iPhone and iOS 8:
Turn Bluetooth off
Sign out of iCloud
Turn iPhone off
Turn iPhone on
Sign in to iCloud
Turn Bluetooth on
Now all previous devices are no longer showing up.
Then I reset my network settings.
Under settings-general-reset-reset network settings.
You have to have your wifi password as this will delete all previous used wifi networks.
Just ust resetting the network settings did not help me so I had to delete the Freybe out devices on my iPhone also. No need to restore iPhone for me, lucky...
Delete previous Bluetooth devices from car.
Pair iPhone with Bluetooth in car.
This did the trick for me and I was able to make and receive several phone calls in my car today.
I Hope this helps!

  • IPhone connection problem

I have my adsl router connected to Linksys. So Internet works fine on my desktop while the iPhone connects to the wifi router but can't download or surf the Internet through it.

Let me know the model number of the router? What is the IP address on the iPhone when it says connected? You can try the following combination of settings:
    # Open up the browser and on the address bar type 192.168.1.1 that will open up the Router setup page.
    # Lower the MTU (Maximum Transmission Unit) from 1500 to 1400 or less (usually found on your routers main/ basic setup page)
    # Make the Channel Width to 20 MHz only and Channel to 6, 9, 11..
#Adjust the following advanced wireless settings:
~~ Lower the beacon interval from 100 to 75
~~ Lower the fragmentation threshold from 2346 to 2306
~~ Lower the RTS threshold from 2347 to 2304
    Now check the connectivity status...

  • Bm10 iPhone connection problems

Hi, I am having problems connecting my iphone to my Sony Bm10 receiver. The bm10 is connected to my mac and works fine with that. But when i want to connect it to my iphone 4s, it doesn't pick it up, so i can't connect to it. My iphone bluetooth works, as it connects to a different bluetooth wireless speaker. So any advice on how to connect would be much appreciated.

As I understand you can't even detect it in your iPhone? If not, make sure the BM10 is set in pairing mode.

  • IPhone connection problems with Windows 7

Hello there and greetings from Sweden! Before summer holiday, I installed Windows 7 on my laptop.
It is really fast in comparison to Windows Vista, and I am looking forwards to its release.
I have found no major flaws within the system, except one.
Being an owner to a iPhone, I have installed Itunes on my laptop since I wish to syncronize(?) music to my phone.
Windows 7, on the other hand has caused a problem to Itunes. Connecting my iPhone causes the phone to charge, but it does not turn up in Itunes.
I have tried with both my iPhone a friends phone with the same result. I have also re-installed Itunes but with no success. It doesnt connect at all (even though both phones charge).
It worked fine in the past on both a Vista and XP system.
If anyone has had any similar problems, please post how you solved it. It would be appreciated =)

    Hi FabianLef
Take a look at the last couple of posts in the following thread.
Apple - Support - Discussions - iPhone not recognize by iTunes?
This looks very similar to your issue.
If that doesn't help, you might want to scan some of the threads in the following search.

  • Iphone connection problem with USB

ok so my phone is not detected on windows vista
it always says USB device not recognized blah blah
but when i connect my brother's iphone or friend's iphone it always is able to detect it and load the driver properly so my itunes can connect
so i look at my device manager when their iphones are connected and there is a yellow exclamation point under portable devices > iphone and it says that code 31, driver did not load properly
also, when i connect my phone through USB on a macbook it doesn't work but when i connect via firewire it does work.
would having a 6 pin to 4 pin firewire adapter be good enough for me to be able to at least sync my phone.
and does anyone know anything that would help with the USB problem.
do i need to ssh into my phone or something and see if my driver is working correctly
i've had this problem for some time

The only step left is to remove iTunes and i would recommend all Apple products like quicktime and the like (as sometimes you will get a DEP error if you haven't done so, prevention better than a cure and all that)along with removing the drivers in Vista and re-install all that from scratch.
If this doesn't work then i would suggest a call to AppleCare or a visit to see a Genius at an Apple store as it could very well be hardware related.
    NOTE:
This is all assuming you are using the same logon to windows when you are connecting both your iPhone and your brothers along with using the same cable/dock and that you have either logged into Vista as an Administrator or have chosen to run iTunes in Administrator mode.

  • 3602I and or 3602E Iphone Connection Problems

    Hi,
We are using two WAP devices and are both experiencing the same issue.
    WLC Controller 2504 (running 7.3.101.0)
    WAP Devices 3602I and 3602E
The issue we are having is that Iphones cannot connect and or at times see the SSID's that are enabled. Sometimes the SSID's will show up and then dissapear.
I can have the Iphone sitting right next to the WAP and it not even show up and when it does show up when I try to connect it either fails or the connection is so bad that when doing a speed test it times out.
I have 3 different Iphones some running the latest IOS 6 and some still on IOS 5 for testing.
    Android Devices are working flawlessly
Windows and OSX laptops and desktops are working flawlessly
I have tried a number of options that are suggested here in the community but nothing seems to be working.

    Hi Scott,
I have tried using the settings that you suggested and although I am able to connect the speeds are pitiful. I have attached screen shots of my speed test and configuration within the controller. I am having great results with 5GHz devices. IPAD, MacBook Pro, Mac Book Air, Android devices.

  • Time capsule iPhone connection problem

My 3rd gen time capsule is creating a network extended by an airport express that runs my MacBook Pro and Apple TV. I cannot get my iPhone to connect to the network. I don't think I have changed any of the settings from when it was working perfectly. If anyone has any suggestions, please let me know.

Did you upgrade the iphone to iOS 6? I am trying to help another user here with the issue. If it worked fine beforehand his issue seems to be iOS 6 is not handling the WPA2 passwords properly.
Try turning off security just to see.
It is always comforting to know you are at least not alone. And Apple's testing regime is to now use all users for beta testers.

  • IPhone connection problems to 2012 Honda since iOS 8.

My new iPhone 6 does not connect consistently with hand-free system on my 2012 Honda. Prior iPhones running iOS 7 and earlier worked great. The iOS 8.1 update didn't help at all. The phone seems to work fine with the Honda system, but often I can't play audio content from iPhone thru Bluetooth. The system indicator on the Honda screen shows the phone is connected, but when I turn on the audio in the car and then try to play content from Audible app or iTunes, it says there is no device connected. Usually I can turn off the car completely, restart and get a connection - but not always.
Also, the Honda system used to receive text messages from the phone that it would play back thru simulated voice audio. That doesn't work at all anymore - system doesn't acknowledge text messages ever, let alone play them.
I've also tried tethering the iPhone to the Honda system via its USB connection, and that seems to work equally inconsistently.
    Help, please!

  • IPhone connection problems

I just ran all the latest updates on my G5, and now my cpu doesn't recognize my iphone - the phone won't even charge through the USB, but does charge to an outlet and my laptop. My phone is still running 2.2.1 and my cpu is on 10.4.11. Any ideas?
(just check and it looks like the USBs on the G5 have stopped working??)

derek, I am getting exactly the same problems. My usb ports are working fine but the phone doesn't even register a charge thru the sync cable. Charging from an outlet is fine.

  • IPhone Connection Error

I get the following when logging into SAP on the iPhone.

I solved this by connecting my iphone to the office VPN.
I thought my notebook was connected to the wireless network and that the pc and the iphone were on the same network.
But the notebook was actually hard wired to the network.
Once I connected to the VPN the addon connected without problems.

Who can shed some light on my ongoing connection problem.
After upgrading my iPad Air with IOS 7.06, I could no longer connect to the internet.
I have 2 MacBooks Air, 1 ipad mini and one iPhone 4S running on the same network, and they are all connected to the net and function well.
So I cleaned up the ipad completely, installed the latest firmware and reinstalled my apps : no connection.
I tried all things of resets and forgets. No result.
I have been fondling with my Airport Extreme 5 , but that did not help much.
This morning I went to a neighbor , hooked my ipad air on his network, typed the password and the thing all worked fine.
I have tried to connect the ipad air as an ethernet client, but that did not work. „Not enough power“ was the statement
    Ideas anyone ?

Yes I tried this manyfold. But did not work.  Reading on, I took Tesserac's advice. Shut down router and computer.
Start router after 15 minutes and wait another 10 minutes before starting the computer.
Et voila.... everything is back in working order,

  • I'm continuously getting a "connection timeout" on my home network. My iPhone connects without a problem, and I know the password is correct. How do I fix this?

I've never had a problem connecting to my home network until recently. The desktop computer is connected, and my iphone connects as well. It is not a problem with the wireless router, but rather I believe with my computer or airport. How can I fix this?

    Hello CraigNicholson
You would need to sync with iTunes to get that process to work for you. Check out the article below for more information on how to resolve that issue to get the proper token to use Push Notifications again.

  • IPhone Wireless connection problem

Neighbor got hand me down iPhone 3. It connects to her home wireless network, then drops, then picks it back up, then drops.... My iPhone connects to the same network without a problem. Her phone connects to my wireless network without a problem. Any thoughts or ideas on why this is happening?

It could be that for whatever reason, your router is not passing the DNS information from the ISP to your phone. DNS servers are the internet servers that allow our computers to translate websites into IP numbers so they can communicate. Here's what I would try:
If you have another computer in the house using the same wifi network, go into it's network preferences and look for the DNS server names, and then try entering them manually into the iphone in the wifi configuration page. Google DNS and you should find instructions on how to locate that information whether or not your computer is running Windows or Mac OS.
    Good luck.
