Iphone 6 cracked randomly on charge

I got the new iphone last week and have been caudeling it like a baby. Last night I put it on charge and this morning I woke up and noticed a small crack in the bottom left of the screen less than an inch long. It seems to be under the screen not on top, and also the bottom of my phone is not as seemless as the top but idk if they are all like that, will Apple replace or repair it? I didn't do anything to it and I'm very upset this happened

Take it to an Apple store genius bar right away...don't use it as you don't want to drop it and then have Apple say it is your fault.  Take it in and get a replacement.

  • My iphone 5 keeps randomly shutting off and won't turn back on unless I plug it in to the charger

my iphone 5 keeps randomly shutting off and won't turn back on unless I plug it in to the charger

I'm experiencing the same issue. It's one thing to have to re-power up but to not be able to do so without plugging in the charger when the battery is substantially full, is a real drag.

  • My new iphone 4 wont turn on/charge/ connect to computer

Today I went to Disneyland with some friends. My phone died earlier in tha day. When I got home I plugged it in to charge it and it charged up to about 15%. Then It randomly just turned off. I tried reboot it and everything. I know its not dead becuase its been on the charger forever! I read that I should restore it but when I plug it into the computer it doesnt reconize it!! Then i tried to recovery mode too. It wont even let me do that! HELP PLEASE

While connected to the iPhone charger, try to reset the iPhone. Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until either the Apple logo or battery symbol appears. If the battery symbol appears, continue to charge iPhone until it is fully charged.

  • I dropped my iPhone 4 & cracked its screen. Apple wants me to pay for replacement unit (I agree), turn in my old phone (??) & wait for 6 days (no problem). What do I do to access emails, Internet & make/receive calls during these 6 days?

I dropped my iPhone 4 & cracked its screen. I went to the service center to get it repaired. SInce it is not under warranty, i was willing to pay for repair charges.
They told me that the screen can not be repaired or changed, but they can replace my damaged set with an equivalent set, on payment of RM 760, roughly, 25-30% cost of a new one. I agreed.
    They told me to:
    1/ pay upfront
2/ leave my old set with them
3/ and the replacement unit will be delivered in 4-6 days.
I agreed on 1& 3 but not to leave my damaged set with them because it is still working and I don't have another spare phone with me, to serve me the 4-6 day waiting period.
THe service center guy told me that if I want a replacement, I have to agree to all 3 conditions and that I should buy another phone for 6 days. I told him that I constantly need email & Internet access, as part of my work responsibilities, so I can not do with a simple phone. It obviously, doesn't make sense to buy an expensive smart phone, go thru the trouble of transferring my data & mails & contacts - just for a week.
Unfortunately, all these logics fell on deaf ears & the service centre guy kept insisting on ALL of the above conditions.
I came back so flustered & upset.
I thought customer service was about solving problems & not creating hurdles for customers.
    what should I do?
    ANy advice?

What would you do for transportation if you drove your car into a tree and had to wait while it was fixed? You'd need to rent, borrow or buy another car, no? The same applies to your phone. This is not Apple's problem; if the service center does not have replacements in stock for immediate swap-out, then it's up to you to provide a backup device or do without.
If you're in a country where Apple provides direct service for iPhones, you may be able to call Apple support and arrange for advance replacement, where they send you the replacement phone and then you send back the old one. Apple offers such service in several countries, though you have to pay an extra fee for the service. If not, then you'll just have to wait for the service center to get in the replacement, and will have to arrange an alternative to use during that time.
    Regars.

  • IPhone 3GS Cracks - CARPHONEWAREHOUSE UK

I bought my 3GS from Carphonewarehouse on the 26th of February. At the time I didn't take insurance out with them as I have heard bad things about the Carphonewarehouses insurance policy for iPhones.
I have just noticed small cracks near the charging port on my phone.
Does anyone know on what grounds I stand with the Carphonewarehouse in getting an exchange for another iPhone. I am very dissapointed about this as I spent a lot of money on the handset.
Anyone had a similar problem and dealt with CPW?

Return it to the Carphonewarehouse store in first place.
Your consumer rights are guaranteed .
IF its a white iphone back these stress crack are a known issue and might well be a manufacturing problem in the polymer procees.
They WILL exchange it but be firm if the counter staff say no, hold firm and get manager
Add to which you DO have an Apple warranty as well. Your could go the Retail store nearest to you.
They will exchange it for sure.
Those purchased warrantees are a WASTE of money !
Apple give twelve months as standard and your network providers offer loss and accidentally damage covers on a monthly basis.
AND consumer legislation covers manufacturing and miss selling for up to 6 YEARS. You would need some legal help to win a case at 5 years 11 months and 30 days for a failure through.

  • IPhone 6 plus will not charge!

A few days ago, my iPhone 6 plus randomly bricked (would not turn on) for literally no reason. The charge was fine. The Apple Store replaced it on the spot with a new 6 plus. I've been having issues getting this one to charge, not to mention the battery life is awful compared to my previous 6 plus. Here are the charger issues I was having:
each charger I had gave me "this device is not apple approved" error message... even the one that CAME WITH THE PHONE.
When I could actually get it to charge... great.
The battery just died, so I went to charge it. It is no responding to either of my chargers, whether it is plugged into my computer's USB port or the charger which came with the phone. I am sitting here coming completely random things, like switching between random USB ports on the back of my iMac. Occasionally it will show the red charging battery and then quit.
I am extremely frustrated by this, and I am considering just returning this phone. I don't ever remember a brand new Droid being this bad.
Does any one have any suggestions outside of "go to the Genius Bar"? It seems that they just replaced by phone with a crappy one that also stopped working a couple of days later.

i am having same issue is there anyway to fix this without taking it back?

  • Iphone 4s dies randomly

My iphone 4s dies randomly even if im 100% especially if i try using an app other than messaging or if i try using the internet, if it doesn't die then it always dies around 73-80% sometimes it wont last more than 1 hour, any ideas? When it dies it wont turn back on till i charge it again or will randomly turn on for a minute then die again

Have you reset your device (nothing will be lost): Hold down the Home and Power buttons at the same time and continue to hold them down until the Apple appears (up to 30 seconds). Once the Home screen comes up, see if that helps the situation.
Also, are you running any apps from 3rd party websites that may be causing your issue? Is your device jailbroken? Are you running any sort of Anti-Virus software? All of these things will affect the performance of your device.
    Cheers,
    GB

  • IPhone 5s just randomly shuts down

my iPhone 5s just randomly shuts down even though the battery is in 60-70% charged range.
It shows the battery icon with one thin red line, I plug it in to power and a minute later it comes on with battery in 60-70% range.
I cannot figure out what's going on !!

Try to reset the phone by holding the sleep and home button for about 10sec, until the Apple logo comes back again.
If this does not help, get your phone checked by visiting an Authorized Apple Service Provider or Apple Store next to your place.
You can also contact Apple Support and talk to them. They can check the battery online.
Or visit this page to do that: iPhone - Contact Support - Apple Support
Click on Apple Support, then on ->Battery, Power &Charging ->Battery questions and troubleshooting, and follow the instructions.

  • Why does my IPhone Keep Vibrating and Not Charging?

I am having trouble with my phone. The phone is almost a year old, but not quite. The charger is a bit worn, and I'm beginning to wonder if the charger is my problem. I have it on a wall charger by my bed so I can check the time if need be. Here's my issue: it vibrates. A lot. Randomly. And I can't sleep. I'm having problems getting it to stop. I don't know if the connection is weak in the cord, but sometimes it will stop charging, then start again and vibrate. And it'll do this over and over, often it's in really quick succession. I looked online and several people have the same thing. Also, a message/notification will pop up. It says something to the effect of: "Charging is not supported with this accessory." I'm starting to worry about it and wonder if it's killing my phone, because my phone isn't holding a charge. (It just went off about four or five times right now...) My lock button is broken, so I CANNOT TURN THE PHONE OFF. What should I do?
What's the issue, and how can I fix it? My sleep level is low and I need to know if I need to buy another charger. To sum things up, my questions are:
What's causing the vibrations and notifications?
Is this a hardware issue, or a problem with the cord connection?
How much does a new cord cost?
Thanks for looking, and please answer. I need to know whats going on ASAP.
    Thanks again,
    Username411

    Hey Username411,
Thanks for the question and detailed information. I believe you are correct in the issue of constant vibration stems from the iPhone disconnecting and reconnecting while charging. See this article for more information:

Battery does not charge from the USB power adapter
    1. Verify that the outlet being used is working.
    2. Try another USB power adapter if available.
    3. If no other USB power adapter is available, try connecting to a high-power USB 2.0 port (not a keyboard). The computer must be turned on and not in sleep or standby mode.
    4. Try another USB cable if available.
    5. Also refer to iPhone and iPod touch: Charging the battery.
As suggested, you'll want to try charging the iPhone with a different cable to completely isolate the issue. Borrow one from a friend or family member if possible, but if not you can purchase a new one from Apple directly or an authorized reseller. It is important to buy an Apple-branded charger, which leads us to your last question:
Apple 30-pin to USB Cable can be purchase from the Apple Online Store for $19 USD:
    http://store.apple.com/us/product/MA591G/C/apple-30-pin-to-usb-cable?fnode=45
If you find that the issue does lie with your iPhone, check out your service options (as you may still be in warranty). You may want to review your options anyway due to that lock button issue:

  • Iphone chargers stop working. not charging iphone

ok. so a few months into having my iphone it randomly stopped charging. i figured it was a the charger so i got a new one and all was well. but then eventually that one starting failing. sometimes it would work, sometimes it wouldnt. it would go in and out. that stupid noise that happens when you start charging would go off every 5 seconds cause it charges and then stops charging and so on. so i bought two new chargers. within two months, they were both doing the same thing pretty much. with one, a message pops up saying "charging is not supported with this accesorry. and the otherrrr i have to like giggle it around, sqeeze the bottom on the plug thing, whatever. and sometimes it will work, i try to lay i t down slowly on my desk and it stops charging again! ive managed to get by the past few weeks by screwing with it for a few hours before bed till it starts working, but ive been at it for 3 hours now tonight and im fed up.
it doesnt work plugged into my computer, so its not the wall plug. i cleaned the connecting port, so its not that. and ive used multiple chargers! so i dont understandddd. i used my boyfriends charger one day and it worked, but then eventually it stopped working for mine. its like my phone is eating chargers or something. has this happened to anyone else????????? HELP

Do you mean the power adaptor/charger, or the cable which are not one and the same?
If the cable, it certainly can be a problem with your iPhone if the 3rd party cables work with other iOS devices.
If the same with an Apple cable, the problem is with your iPhone.

  • Iphone 4 keeps randomly freezing

My sister's new iphone 4 keeps randomly freezing up. The screen froze at startup, in an app, and when we tried to take a picture. I tried holding down the on button and the home button for a while, but that doesn't work. The only way its stops freezing is when the battery dies out. I can't even plug it in to the power cord to get it to charge or get it to restart. No reaction whatsoever. Any ideas on what to do, other than take it back to Best Buy where we bought it? We've had it for almost a month and this is the fourth time it's frozen. So frustrating!
