Iphone 6 didn't sync my icloud back up
bought a new iphone 6 today, I backed up my data before purchase. Turned on my new phone and no icloud back up, only one from 2 years ago. i back up my phone every 2 weeks. extremely upset because i lost so much information....necessary info for my job. Is there anyway it can be accessed?
Everything went fine when I brought up the 4S, except all the apps didn't come over. They are on the phone, grey'ed out with the word "Waiting" under them. If I sync again, then drag & drop 1 app onto the phone, it transfers, but the others remain "Waiting".

While my iphone (6 plus) is synced with icloud, the contacts on icloud are several years old! My phone shows that it was backed up this morning to icloud. Any ideas on why icloud is not updated with my contacts?

My iPhone is requesting to sync with icloud, but it is using on old ID and password. How do I delete the old ID and password?
To change the iCloud ID you have to go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account, provide the password for the old ID when prompted to turn off Find My iPhone, then sign back in with the ID you wish to use. If you don't know the password for your old ID, or if it isn't accepted, go to https://appleid.apple.com, click Manage my Apple ID and sign in with your current iCloud ID. Click edit next to the primary email account, change it back to your old email address and save the change. Then edit the name of the account to change it back to your old email address. You can now use your current password to turn off Find My iPhone on your device, even though it prompts you for the password for your old account ID. Then save any photo stream photos that you wish to keep to your camera roll. When finished go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account and choose Delete from My iDevice when prompted (your iCloud data will still be in iCloud). Next, go back to https://appleid.apple.com and change your primary email address and iCloud ID name back to the way it was. Now you can go to Settings>iCloud and sign in with your current iCloud ID and password.

Hi. So i had an iphone 4s. The phone was completely destroyed it was cracked, water damged, and now lost. I had about 1500 pictures on there. I just got an iphone 4 today and synced my icloud to find that no pictures loaded. Talked to apple and they want $250 and it's not guaranteed. So please help me find my pics and how i can pleasssee get them back. Very important pictures with a lot of memories. The pics were all on my camera roll of the 4s!!please help!!!
If you ever backed it up while these photos were on it, restoring another iOS device to the backup should recover them. If the backup was done with iTunes rather than iCloud, you may also be able to extract the photos from the backup on your computer by using 3rd party software such as iPhone Backup Extractor (http://www.iphonebackupextractor.com/).

I updated the version on my Iphone and didn't sync before ans as a result I lost all my photos, apps, and contacts. I will like to recover the deleted photos as they are very important to me, it's there a way to recover them?
did you ever do a backup. cause if you did say like a year ago. it should still be there and you could at least get the info back until that date.

how do I delete photo ALBUMS from my iPHONE 4?
I sync via icloud and I can not see any folders selected in itunes.

charles altmanReplying to my own post - heh. I downloaded iExplorer (http://www.macroplant.com/iexplorer/) which allowed me access to the files on the phone and there was the phantom movie in the DCIM folder. Deleted it, and all is well - although I still have 0.65gb of Other in iTunes.....

Contacts entered on iPhone 4S does not sync to iCloud
Using iCloud with an iPhone 4S (version 5.0.1).
When I enter a contact on the iPhone, it will NOT sync to iCloud. However, when I enter a contact on www.icloud.com, it WILL sync to the iPhone. And yes, I am entering the contacts in the correct group on my iPhone.
Calendar entries sync properly in both directions, so it seems to be a Contacts-only issue...
Any thoughts?I have the same problem with my iPhone 4S and new iPad. I tried both actions:
1) Uncheck SYNC MUSIC, allow the music to be deleted from the device, and re-sync. Did not work.
2) Check Match is off (it actually was off in both my iPhone and Ipad, as well as in iTunes). Nothing.
Anyone with this problem has been able to solve it?
I created a new "Test" playlist but did nt sync with any device.

IPhone Contacts won't sync with iCloud
Hi!
I have my Macbook Pro and iPhone 4S synced with iCloud, so everything I do in one device shows up in the other.
About 2 days ago I noticed my iPhone contacts were not syncing with iCloud. Calendars, Notes, etc. is syncing and the Macbook Pro is syncing as well. Only iPhone contacts are not (both ways).

If I have an iphone that didn't come with icloud, is there a way to get icloud on it so I can use it with my ipad 4? I think my iphone is a 3g, not sure.
Do I have to have iTunes on my PC in order to update my iPhone. I'd rather not have my computer linked with my iPad and phone. I'd like to just keep it between iPad and iPhone. I don't have a computer of my own.

I deleted my duplicate contacts one by one on my iPad but have lost over 600 contacts on my iPad they are all on my iPhone but when I sync my iCloud I only have 200 contact on my iPad but have all 820 on my iPhone can any one help
Welcome to the Apple Community.
First check that all your settings are correct, that contact syncing is checked on all devices (system preferences > iCloud on a mac and settings > iCloud on a iPhone, iPad or iPod).
Make sure the contacts you are adding are added to your 'iCloud' group and not an 'On My Mac', 'On My Phone' or other non iCloud group (you can do this by checking in groups), non iCloud contacts will not sync.
If you are sure that everything is set up correctly and your contacts are in the iCloud group, you might try unchecking contact syncing in the iCloud settings, restarting your device and then re-enabling contact syncing. -

I have recently purchased a new laptop. When I plug in my iPhone in, I cant sync my phone, back it up or access any of my music. iTunes doesnt even pick it up. It all worked fine on my old PC. What do I do?

Does anyone know how to get the iPhone calendar (iCal) to Sync back into the iPhone. I have the original 8 gig phone from June 07, just upgraded the .me account but it only brought in other calendars and not the real one from the iPhone that I had backed up on the G4. Its strange. It should sync all 3 calendars. Is this something I need to wait for ?
