Iphone 6 grip

Hello All,
I have just Purchased iPhone 6 64GB Space Gray, the issue that I have it is hard to grip and  it is difficult to use for me. I liked the iPhone 5S much more better on hands and it is locks nice.
So, is Apple considering in the future to Launch smaller size than the  6 and the 6 plus? or should i got another device from other company.
And one more thing when is the  new Mac Book is going to be issued it is mentioned in your site coming soon, Is there a specific date?
Regards,
Mohammed

This link should answer the macbook question. It is very hard to say whether future generations will be smaller, but you should invest in a case that has a strong grip. For future purposes, this forum does not allow you to contact apple employees directly, but mostly users like you and me reply.

  • IPhone Death Grip and Loss of Signal

There is NO doubt the new iPhone has "death grip" "loss of signal" issues. Including my new iPhone, there are 4 Verizon phones in my home. All 4 phones show 3 bars when laying on the counter. The iPhone consistently, everytime, drops to 1 bar when it is picked up and held in a normal position. The other 3 phones (HTC Incredible, Blackberry Curve 8330, and an LG Cosmos all maintain 3 bars when picked up and held in a normal position. In fact, when I recived my first call on my iPhone the caller complained my voice was breaking up. NONE of my other phones have that problem. I called Verizon support on my iPhone, and they said my call was breaking up. I changed my holding position so I was pinching the the front and back of the phone (not touching any of the metal frame), and they said they could hear me much better. Nice test, huh? I have checked this situation over and over. I am not going to "pinch" my phone to use it. I am not going to spend more money on a bumper or case to use it. I am going to hold Verizon to their promise that that the known antenna issue with the iPhone was fixed. I am going to return my iPhone for a full refund and HIGHLY recommend that ANYONE who thinks the antenna issue is fixed is flat out WRONG. I HAD a lot of confidence in Verizon and Apple before this fiasco. There is NO DOUBT in my mind that both of them new full well that the defect still existed and still hyped and released a defective product. I will be the first to gladly participate in any class action suit that comes out of this - which I am sure it will. DO NOT BUY AN IPHONE 4.

Verizon didn't promise you that the issue no longer existed (if a rep that hadn't had a chance themselves to see the phone until activating them for customers on the 10th told you this they were not the most reliable to respond unfortunately). Technically I don't recall Apple ever officially stating so (they never said they did the antenna changes as a "fix" to the issue...they said they did it to accomodate the CDMA chip), but if they did and it does not happen to be true for you and the phones in your household then by all means return them. At the end of the day, Verizon did not make the equipment....they just finally worked it out to get the rights to sell it with their service for the customers that have been begging for it for years. Be disappointed in Apple (as far as the antenna issue goes). For you, the issue exists. For others, it exists. For many, it does not. So being able to say there is NO doubt that the issue still exists is still very debatable at this point. Personally, I have had almost 1 full week (tomorrow) of crystal clear calls, no antenna issues, no dropped calls or dropped bars other than the normal that occurs with any phone on any network. Actually, the bars on my iPhone are interestingly more stable than those of my Blackberry Tour were.
At any rate, I'm sorry that the iPhone did not live up to your expectations, but your experience is not definitive of all iPhone users any more than mine is.

  • ISkin Revo case for iPhone Unboxing & FI

The following is my un-boxing & first impressions review of the iSkin revo for iPhone. I just got mine in the mail today, pulled out my camera and started shooting. A complete gallery of my unboxing and review pictures is available here:
    http://thatsrich.smugmug.com/gallery/3282911#182155384
    ==============
    1. iSkin ships their items through UPS. Because I live near Niagara Falls, NY, the standard shipping took only 3 days!
    2. They could have used a smaller box for the product.
    3. The revo does look a lot like what's shown online. Smooth colors; soft, yet firm material, and the edges have fine ridges that enhance the iPhone's grip in your hand.
    4. I had to work the iPhone into the skin by inserting the bottom half and then pulling the top half over the phone. Cleaning the iPhone (note: iKlear is the best~!) before fitting is a good idea. It took some work to get it in there, but I feel that this is a good sign of a sturdy, snug case. It basically "hugs" the iPhone very well, with a tiny exception underneath the earpiece. You'll notice it's a tiny bit off, but massaging the case works that out quickly.
    5. Good grip in the hand. I'm even confident that you can do thumb-texting without real risk of dropping the phone.
    6. The holes align perfectly. You see the camera hole is just right.
    7. The iSkin comes with a hard plastic ViSOR. Some will disagree with me on this, but my ViSOR fits in place with a good grip. I was even able to hold the iPhone by the ViSOR and it didn't come off. I would recommend using the ViSOR when in a pocket for a long haul, or on a flight. When not in use, it snaps easily in the back part of the case without adding any extra bulk.
    8. The case adds a little bulk to the phone, but what can you do? It's a case. Bulk is a trade-off for solid protection in the event of a drop. the iSkin delivers that well.
    9. I have the NLU Bodyguardz installed on the phone, so I am not using the privacy screen, and I don't plan to. The screen is clear and there is no effect on the touchscreen system. The Bodyguardz I have cover the entire phone, including the chrome bezel, so if lint and other stuff ever gets into the case, the Bodyguardz will keep it from scratching. Am I OD? Maybe, but again, how much did I pay for this 8GB iPhone? Ahhhh.
    10. The iSkin comes with a dock connector cover, which fits easily into the connector without covering the speaker or mic holes. However, this will probably a piece I might end up misplacing somewhere down the road.
    11. People have complained that the images of the iSkin on their website actually cover up the headphone jack. The jack is covered to protect debris from getting in there, but it conveniently flaps open to reveal the jack itself.
    12. I called my iPhone from my Skype account, and I still felt the vibration of the phone through the case. Good. Both my voice and EDGE coverage were unaffected by the case.
    ==============
Apple suggests in their User's Guide that you look into getting a case for the iPhone. The iSkin Revo was released after the launch date, giving them an advantage to refine a good case. In a world of disappointing rubber iPhone cases, the iSkin can hold its own against scuffs, drops and the elements.

I have had my case for a week and a half now and still love it as much as day one.
I use the visor on my case and though it doesn't fit on tight, it has never come off while in my pocket.
The case attracted lint and dust the first few days but stopped after I washed it with soap and water a few times.
I have also taken the case off the phone twice so far and each time I put it on the phone, it fits just as snug as day one.
Great case, glast I paid the money!
Oh and if you order the nighthawk case, it appears like it's black on the website, but it's actually a very dark brown.

  • How to get the Bang & Olufsen A8 Headphones plug to fit the iPhone jack

Ok, this is for those who have the B&O A8 headphones and who want to be able to use them with the iPhone without having to use some kind of adapter. This might work for other headphones as well but follow the following advice AT YOUR OWN RISK!!
Also, the A8 headphones are EXPENSIVE so do this AT YOUR OWN RISK! All I know is after I've done this I'm VERY HAPPY.
To make the plug fit you have to first understand how the plug is constructed. The plug is made of three parts, the central metal shaft, the plastic sleeve surrounding the metal shaft, and the rubber grip covering the plastic sleeve. If you look at the plug under a magnifying glass concentrating on the base of the shaft, you can clearly see the two layers surrounding the shaft, the inner layer is the plastic sleeve and the outer layer is the rubber grip.
Now to make the plug fit, you need to CUT THE RUBBER grip just far enough back so that only the plastic inner sleeve goes into the headphone jack recess. One way to do it is to wrap a piece of narrow masking tape around the rubber grip about 1/8" back from the leading edge - this serves to guide your cutting blade. After that you either do what I did, use a dremel tool to thin down the jacket and then use an x-acto knife to cut around the sleeve using the masking tape as guide, or just cut around the grip right away and take your time.
When you cut the grip, do so carefully so you stop at the plastic sleeve. The x-acto knife isn't really sharp enough that you can cut through the plastic that easily. But remember you need the plastic sleeve intact to stop the plug from going into the jack too deep.
Anyway, once the rubber grip is cut back, the plug fits perfectly and it actually doesn't look bad at all!!

Better yet, DONT CUT THE RUBBER GRIP. Mine just moved back with a little slow effort, it slides back over the cord. I am very careful when I remove it from the iPhone not to let it get too far up and it hangs on to the shaft. When it is removed from the iPhone the grip just slides back down if I want it back to how it was.
Maybe I was just lucky that it wasn't glued on or something. I just didn't want to mess with my warranty in case I ever need it. Gotta love that $65 dollar replacement program. Sometimes you really do get what you pay for.

  • Iphone Questions Before Buying

Im just trying to figure out if i should get the iphone, Because I do need a phone and a Ipod. So what better then an iphone right ?? well.. Im looking at the 16gb. And Just recentley My 5th gen ipod died.. SO.... Ive been using the Griffin iTrip Auto - iPod iTrip FM Transmitter and built-in Car Charger to play The music throught the car. And i was wondering if that is still possible if i were wanting to listen to the music off the iphone in the car ?? My car doesnt have an audio jack.. just a cigarette lighter... if this is not possible.. Ive heard that the Dock Connector has changed Why would it ?? if so it has.. What are other remedies if im not able to use the radio tuner i have ??

I bought the iPhone in June on day 1.. I am still completely satisfied with it.. I actually bought one for my GF and I bought a 16gb when it came out, suffice it to say I love the iPhone.
My iTrip transmitter does work with the iPhone, but the iPhone will gripe about it. The dock connector is the same as iPod, but the iPhone will prompt you with "this accessory is not made to work with iPhone" just hit ok, then it will ask you to turn on airplane mode.. airplane mode will turn off all the radios in the phone (gsm, edge, bluetooth, and wifi) then it works just like your iPod did. If you choose not to turn on airplane mode it will still work but you will get the gsm radio interference coming through you car stereo.

  • When is this phone going to get fixed?

What is going to be done for us customers who have bought this phone?  When is it going to get fixed?
This phone has had issues since day one for a lot of us.  Many of us are outside the 14-day return period so many of us are up a creek when it comes to returning the phone for another phone.  Including myself.
I don't want to sound like I'm complaining.  The phone is a great phone, I love the featureset and I love the LTE network.  Many of us wouldn't want to go back to a non-LTE phone including myself.
We know that Gingerbread is coming soon and that with it comes a promised fix for all these issues, including a fix for the dropping signal issue which has to be the biggest issue that all of us Droid Charge users are having.  All we ask is when we can expect this to be released to us.  A lot of the older phones are getting Gingerbread before this phone.  Why?  This phone is new, shouldn't we expect it to be the first phone on the block to get Gingerbread?  It only makes sense to have this phone get Gingerbread before every other phone.
It is after all, Verizon's "flagship" phone.  The one that Verizon is marketing the heck out of on television and the Internet with their "Rule the Air" commercials.
Some say that Gingerbread is being held up by Samsung because of issues with the new TouchWiz.  Personally, I don't care about the new TouchWiz.  Release the update without the new TouchWiz and get these immediate issues fixed then release a point-1 upgrade with the new TouchWiz when it's ready for release.

    Dear trparky,
I can understand your frustration, although I am one of the seeming lucky minority of Charge owners that have relatively few problems with the phone.  I live in a 3G only area, but occasionally travel into 4G-NYC for meetings and have not experienced the switching/dropping problems that many others complain of.  Based on your location, I am guessing you have 4G in your area, but can't take full advantage because of the switching/dropping problem.
I would not count too heavily on the next iteration of the OS to solve the problem.  As far as I know, no one has definitively identified the source of the issue; it could be software, but it could also be the hardware in the phone, most possibly the radios or the antenna (remember the iPhone "death grip" problem?).
I hope Android 2.3.x is released soon and that it solves the problem.  But I would not count on either of those things too much.

  • Apple iPhone 4 Bumper not Pro-Grip (with passthrough dock plug) friendly

I use a ProGrip to hold my iPhone on my dashboard and plug into the car's receiver (Dual XHD7714). The phone docks in the ProGrip normally and you plug the dock cable into the Grip. With the naked iPhone this all works fine. With the Apple Bumper installed the phone is much harder to get fully plugged in. It can be done, but also usually becomes unplugged while driving, so basically the Apple Bumper doesn't work with it. The unit I have is fully adjustable for the width of the phone, just not for the dock connector. Thus this case is useless for me (I guess I got what I paid for! since it was free).

I bought the bumper and haven't had any problems with the signal dropping. The opening for the dock connector on the other hand frustrates me to no end. I've found a few possible solutions to that problem, but two will cost you more money, and one involves a knife.
    1. Sendstation dock extender: http://www.sendstation.com/us/products/dockextender/
They are currently working on an extender that works with the bumper, so this one is a future fix.
    2. Belkin Dock Adapter for the Shuffle. http://www.belkin.com/IWCatProductPage.process?Product_Id=245852#
I haven't tried this one out, but I'm thinking it's possible that it might work as a bridge between old cords/adaptors and the cord that comes with the iPhone 4.
    3. Cutting the bumper port hole to make it wider and/or deeper. I haven't tried this one either. Good luck.
I think I'm going to just wait for the Sendstation dock extender. Either way, shame on you Apple for causing this problem.

  • Easy grip iphone 6 case for arthritic fingers

Can anyone recommend an iPhone 6 case that is light-weight, slim, and makes it easy for those with arthritic fingers to grip?  Rubberized perhaps, something that doesn't slip off surfaces.  I am not that concerned about dropping it but just need something that is easy to grab onto.  My phone has an "Invisible Shield" so no worries with the front of it getting damaged.
Without a case this phone is impossible -- slips out of my hands constantly.  An Amazon search comes up with 7 million cases for iPhone 6!  No filter for "arthritis" or "disability" or "old folks!"
    Thanks!

Speck makes some they call something like EasyGrip. They label them as being good for texting as the phone won't slip out of your hands. You shoudl be able to find them someplace ike Amazon.

  • Verizon iPhone having death grip signal loss problems too?

Today I am reading story after story about people having the AT&T death grip signal loss  problems on their Veirzon iPhones despite the Verizon phone having a new antenna.  Is anyone really having this problem or is it being fabricated to alter sales?

I can understand how possibly covering the antannae with your hand would drop the signal a little bit due to blocking it etc. However, I have watched the youtube video of the person giving evidence that this issue exists with the Vphone and as he was demonstrating it and showing the example, I followed along exactly as he was with my phone and it did not create the same issue at all. I tried several times downloading speed test, calling someone, openeing webpages and just simply could not recreate the issue.   Does that mean hes lying? No ,just means i suppose it is not happening to all phones.

  • Two MAJOR gripes with iPhone Email - Why doesn't Apple get it? Work around?

I'm in a business that for organizational purposes requires me to have dozens if not hundreds of inbox subfolders, on the iPhone this is PAINFUL as you can't collapse those folders, they are expanded by default and there's no way to change that that I know of.; real handy when you need to scroll FOR EVER to get to your sent items to check a sent email or sometihng. WHY?
Second, for people that get hundreds of emails a day the "200 recent messages" selection isn't enough. This is a 32GB iPhone, why can't I download my entire 4GB mailbox to it? PLEASE? Or even 500MB of it...I could do this on a 6 yrear old Treo 700wx but not on the latest greatest "magical" iPhone? Come on'!
I just can't beleive we're 4 versions into this phone now and they STILL haven't made these changes.
Anyone know of a work around for these issues? Or maybe another mail client that can be used on the iPhone instead that would resolve this?

Apparently Apple didn't like my response...posted, they deleted...nice.
For the two of you saying "just use your laptop"...Of coures I use my laptop for emails as much as possible, however in my line of work about 20% of my time is in office, the other 80% is on the go and frequently I get calls that require me to reference an email from weeks ago...with my previous phone I was able to just dip into that folder, get the info and done; a few seconds at the most and I could do it at a stop sign or red light, or a speedy pull to the side...with the iPhone I have to pull over into a parking lot or something, get my laptop out, resume it, log back in, open outlook, dig the email out then put the laptop back and resume my travels. MAJOR time waster when I have to do this several times a day.
I don't think your reply was all that useful and was more intended as a bash; keep in mind not everyone is like you, not everyone works in your field or the way you work. In some lines of work immediate response is required so we can't just wait until we get back to a computer as one of you suggested...we need to be on the go a lot, ready for just about anything and prepared to answer questions about something that occurred weeks or months ago at the drop of a hat.
The iPhone is cool, it is a great device, but unless you want to see it stay as it is right now, features, looks, performance, etc and NEVER again change, I suggest you open yourselves up to the idea that it's not perfect and there are some changes that could be made to make it a much better device.

  • Antenna problem with my iphone 4s (death grip)

hi every one i m having an factory unlocked iphone 4S
and i starts losing my signal bars when i take out my phone from case (bumper)
and sometimes in case also when i hold my phone with some force its again starts lossing its signal bar
Is any 1 having this problem ..!!???
    i m having iOS 5.1..!!???

Your post reminds me of the joke.  Aguy goes to a doctor and says, "My arm hurts in 2 places".  The doctor replies, "Don't got to those places."
Two things: keep your iPhone in the case, and don't post a problem more than once.

  • Head Phone jack for Iphone (Basically the grip of headphones)

Well to start off, when i first purchased my Iphone i was very surprised at how well the iphone held the headphone jack.At first it was a very difficult task to plug out my headphones(But i like it cus i knew it was a snug fit) but now ive realised that it doesnt take as much force to take the headphones out as before.
It actually seems alittle bit to easy to take out.
Now my concern is that ive had a similar dilema with my samsung mp3 player, but it got so worse that the player jus wouldnt hold the ehadphone jack.
Im wondering if Apple can replace the headphone port,to the nice Snug fit that it had before

Except for battery replacement, Apple doesn't provide any a-la-carte service for iPhone repairs - only full replacement of a phone with a refurb unit (free if under warranty). If not covered, there is a fee for the replacement: http://www.apple.com/support/iphone/service/faq/#warranty7
You can make an appointment with an Apple Store Genius Bar (http://www.apple.com/retail/geniusbar/) to see if they feel it is due to defect, rather that normal wear.
It"s possible that the jack is less snug due to wear of the headset plug. Try another headset. Another alternative is an independent iPhone repair business which you can locate with Google. The downside is that the Apple warranty will be voided.
