IPhone 6 iMessage and FaceTime will not connect.
I just upgraded to the iPhone 6 from a 5 and now I can't use iMessage or FaceTime. I checked all of the troubleshooting tips and actually went through all just to make sure it's not something I'm doing. I still get a connection error on iMessage when I try to connect using my Apple ID and password. The message I get is "Could Not Sign In. Please check your network connection and try again". This continues to happen for many hours. I reset the network connection, made sure my phone number was in the right place on the phone, checked my credit card on the Apple ID, etc. Nothing works. Any help out there?
I have the same problem with my iPhone 6. It seems that my wifi connection will go down after using iMessage, Facetime or other apps. However if I go to settings to check my wifi connection, it shows connection, but there is no internet connection. I have tested my wifi connection with other devices, and they are running perfectly.
I think there is still a bug in the iOS 8.0.2 concerning the WiFi.

I have wiped my phone multiple times trying both setting up as a new iPhone and restoring from back up.
I've also reset the settings and network settings.
Any help would be appreciated.To activate you need to be able to send SMS and in some cases that is an international SMS. The SMS is hidden and goes to a numbe rin the UK starting with +44. Are you able to send international SMS? Check with your carrier. Read http://support.apple.com/kb/ts4268

I have an Iphone 5 and it will not connect to any WIFI networks - I have tried following the steps above (including reseting network settings) but it just says 'incorrect password' every time. How can I resolve this?
you have definitely tried the correct steps, all you would need to do now is a back up & restore to factory settings. If after that the issue remains then you would most likely need a replacement unit.

IPhone, PS3, and HP6180 will not connect with E3000
I have had my E3000 for about four months now, but here recently I've had a problem with my two iPhones (4 and 3G), PS3, and wireless printer connecting to the network.
My desktop, laptop, and WET610N wireless device for my Bluray will connect just fine. But my iPhones state that they are "Unable to join the network "myname". My PS3 fails the connection process, and I haven't even tried my wireless printer lately.
I'm getting extremely frustrated. This has to be a router issue. I've reset the router and have the most recent copy of the firmware installed. I don't know what else to do.
Help please.
Thanksyour phone should be able to connect to WEP just as it can connect to a network with NO encryption. the apple sheep are humans and make mistakes.. perhaps they meant WPA is the stronger of WEP and they RECOMMEND it vs WEP.. im only asking you to try WEP just to confirm the phone can connect... you may also try no security encryption. you can unplug your ethernet cable to your modem if you are nervous about having your network open. your phone can still connect to a router even though it has no internet connection....

I have tried several options of leaving the phone for 24 hours, I have tried resetting the network seething and nothing has helped so far, any suggestions as this is seriously frustrating!?

Imessage and facebook will not activate
I have changed my apple ID password, and since then my imessage and facetime will not activate, it says: "Could not sign in. Please check your network and try again." My internet connection is fine, my username/new password have been entered correctly, my time/date are correct, I have the latest software installed, and I have turned it on and off again, yet the same problem keeps arising.
Could anybody help (I have the iphone 5, if this helps).

Activating Facetime and Imessages on your phone requires the ability to send SMS messages and depending upon where you are that might be an international SMS. Check with your carrier to see if your plan supports sending of international SMS messages. If you are having trouble activating Facetime or Imessages turn them both off on your device and reset the device (Hold down the Sleep/Wake button and the home button together until the apple logo appears (ignore the ON/OFF slider) then let both buttons go and wait for device to restart (no data will be lost)). Wait for the device to restart and wait a minute and turn Facetime and imessage back on and wait for activation. If that does not fix things read the following articles:

Downloaded 5.1.1 to my iphone. Now, Safari will not connect to my server. Can not download web pages and many of my apps. Email seems to be ok. iphone running slow and sluggish. I have read several other users have experienced the same problem. Any solutions?
Basic troubleshooting steps oultlined in the User Guide are restart, reset, restore from backup, restore as new device.
You need to go through all steps in succession until your problem is solved. If going through ALL these steps fails to resolve your issue, then you'll need to bring your phone into Apple for evaluation and possible replacement. -
I have an iPhone 4s, but wifi the option is greyed out. The wifi stopped working on it months ago. Now I wanted to erase all content and setting from my old 4s and it will not connect to the internet, because the cellular data is no longer connected, since I bought a new iPhone 5c. Too bad my 4S is 2 years old. Wifi is dead. I had to upgrade to 5S, but 5S is soooooo much faster than 4S so it's kind of good outcome. Without the 4S breaking down, a stingy person like me would have never upgraded the phone.
