IPHONE 6 - IOS 8 - ICLOUD NOT WORKING
Hi guys,
i just bought the iphone 6, tried to set it up the normal way, just like we all do.
Could not log in to my iCloud account..... so i had to skip that first. All set, dit id through my mac, restored my back up, voila, all fine.
Then i went to my iCloud account in settings, could not log in through wifi (SEEMS TO WORK THROUGH 4G ONLY?). So, none of my iCloud contacts went on my phone, i just can't use iCloud.. my entire iphone freezes when i use iclous over wifi. When i try to log in; VERIFICATION FAILED, The connection to iCloud timed out."
so here i am... how do i fix this..
maybe cause i live the netherlands, and apple releases the phone here in a couple of days... but then i have the same problem on my iphone 5s......................

If you migrated your MobileMe account to iCloud you can continue to use your MobileMe Apple ID/login for iCloud. Also, I assume by "MobileMe app" you are referring to iDisk. If so, you can continue to use iDisk, and the iDisk app through June 30th. If you are having trouble getting iCloud to work, try deleting the account from your phone and adding it back.

My first thought is to make sure that you are actually logged in using the same AppleID on both devices. Many folks share one AppleID for their family's iTunes Store account yet use another personal AppleID to log into iMessage settings and iCloud settings.
To confirm that the AppleID and password you are using is correct I would suggest visiting http://icloud.com and attempting to login there. If you get in, then you know for sure that that is a valid AppleID/password pair.
If that still doesn't reveal the issue then I would try opening Notes app on both iPhones, and then typing your password out where it can be seen clearly. This may reveal if your are typing it differently due to iOS 8 changes in the shift key indicator, or possibly that a screen protector or case is causing your touches to not register the same on both devices.

Iphone 6 backup to iCloud not working
Initially I had the issue where my phone was restoring from iCloud for 2 weeks and never finished. I was unable to do the upgrade to 8.1 because of this, so I canceled the restore and tried to do a backup to iCloud. I let it run (Estimating time remaining...) for a long time, like 30 minutes or something. Each time I tried this it would error off saying it couldn't finish the operation. One time it said it was going to take 2 days to complete the backup, but then it errors off as just mentioned. So I did a google search for "iPhone 6 backup to iCloud not working" and found a link to the forums for the incessant restore issue, it said to do a manual backup through iTunes, then immediately do a restore, then do the upgrade to 8.1.
However, I still have the issue of the backup taking forever.
Anyone encounter this issue and find a fix?

Have you checked that the dock connector port is not dirty? -

Tried to update iPhone 4 to iOS 6 and my phone got stuck in recovery mode. My only option now is to restore my iPhone and lose media. However, I then tried to restore my iPhone and error 1603 occurred. My iPhone is now not working!?!?!
if your computer is not recognizing it, try using a different USB port or different usb cable. if that doesnt work you will need to uninstall and reinstall itunes.

my pass book on my iphone 5 does not work like it should, it works just the same as it did on the iphone 4, i tryed the date an time trick like 5 times an still nothing. i tryed factory reset an nothing. i know it workds different on the iphone 5 then the 4. but i dont know what else to do.
Can you be more specific about what isn't working? Are you running iOS 6 or iOS 6.1?

My iPhone 3gs is not working properly and hasn't been since about September of last year. When switched on (Quite often it won't even turn on) it says 'Update Completed' as though it has just been updated. On the next screen it says to 'Connect to iTunes'. It doesn't, however, connect to iTunes and just resets itself over and over until power is gone. Occasionally after switching on and off a few times it functions normally for a few hours and some times even a couple of days but eventually always turns itself off and goes back to the 'Update Completed' screen. Does anyone know what might be causing this and/or a way of fixing it?
