IPhone 6 iTunes randomly turning on?

This happened with my iPhone 5 from time to time but also happens with the iPhone 6. I have a problem with how the Bluetooth audio works, especially with my car. If I am in my car ('14 Mazda 3) and listening to music on iTunes or any streaming audio, it automatically stops when I turn off the car. I am happy with that, its really convenient. When I get back into the car, it starts right back up again! Great. The problem is, sometimes randomly in the middle of the day all the sudden the audio will start playing again when I am in my office, etc. Or, say I am listening to Bloomberg Radio in their application, I decide to close out of the app entirely. When I get back in my vehicle later, it just randomly kicks on iTunes and plays the first song at the top of my iTunes playlist.
I would like to make it so my music doesn't automatically start playing all the time. I would rather have to select what I want to listen to each time I get in the car than have it just auto play. Especially if the application I was listening to is closed I don't want it just jumping to iTunes when Bluetooth reconnects. I also don't appreciate the random playing in the middle of the day.
Any ideas of what might be causing this and what I can do to fix it?
Thanks.

You need to hold down the power button and the home button until you see the Apple - be patient as this could take some time, about 15 to 30 seconds. If it still doesn't happen, connect it to your charger and leave it alone for at least 15 minutes before trying this procedure again.

  • Iphone Battery Problems - Randomly Turning Off

I've had my iPhone 3GS 32GB since around October last year and all has been well until about a week ago. I was on firmware 3.1.2 and my phone started to randomly turn itself off, even when the battery was displaying a high percentage. Before this I had also noticed that my battery seemed to be draining a lot faster than it used to.
In an attempt to fix it I restored my phone to a backup and so it put me onto the new 3.1.3 firmware. I thought this may have fixed it but its made it even worse! Its now turning itself off several times a day and the battery percentage jumps about from extreme to extreme (from say 70% to 5% to 59% etc). I took it in to an Apple store where they ran a diagnostic and it showed that there was no hardware fault.
Has anyone else had problems like this? And more importantly can anyone suggest a way to fix it?
    All help will be appreciated

Jymoz - did you resolve this? Last week O2 replaced my 3G 16gb iphone with a 3G S version. I used itunes to restore the new phone with my old phone files & settings. But 4 times in the last 7 days the phone has randomly turned itself off. Either I'm using email, or a game or its just on the home screen and all of a sudden the screen goes black, I get the small circle used to show a page is loading, and then it turns completely off. I wondered if you solved your problem, or if anyone has any ideas about my issue? Thanks for any help.

  • My iPhone 3gs just randomly turned off and won't turn back on

I was just using my phone, and nothing happened. As of lately picture mail, and videos have been sending as a text message to other iPhone users even while connected to wifi. My phone just randomly turned off and won't turn back on. I just got it in July so its not very old and I have the hard protection case on it. Is there any way that I can reset it or something?

Hold the home and power button down at the same time.

  • My iPhone 3gs is randomly turning off

    Hi,
I got problem with mine iPhone 3gs, 32gb. When I use camera, surf the net, or use some apps(Facebook, Zynga poker, Tap Tap revenge) it turns off. Sometimes there are some lines at screen and sometimes it just turns off. If first case I have to hold power button for 10seconds to turn off. After that it shows me charge battery simbol and I have to connect it to power source to continue using it. Every time battery was >50%, so empty battery isn't real problem. I guess it's up to software(I'm at 4.3.5, baseband 05.16.02)?
    Can you help me anyhow?
    Thanks everyone!

Did you use your latest backup to restore from after the new setup? If yes, try without the backup, it might contain corrupt data causing your problems. Also try the default apps first. If you experience not problems, load the 3rd party apps as well, maybe a couple at a time and see if one of those apps does not work as expected.
If this does not help, you should get it serviced.

  • Iphone screen randomly turned off???

Hi, my iphone 4 randomly turned off a few hours ago, it is not being recognised on itunes and it won't charge at all. To make matters worse, the home button has been broken for several months. Does anyone know how to fix this problem?

You're going to need a functioning home button in order to fix this. Take it to an Apple Store.

  • My iPhone randomly turns off.

I recently dropped my iPhone.  The screen is shattered and there is a small "pressure dot" on the lcd.  My phone will randomly turn of.  RIght before it does this the screen dims.  The phone shuts off and won't turn on for around another 2 days.  Help!!!

    Hi Lisah,
It sounds like you may have some corrupted files in the operating system -- when built-in apps and features like Camera and Siri malfunction, corrupted files are often the culprit.  There are a few things you can do to fix this -- first thing I'd recommend would be to back up your device to make sure you have all of your current data and settings saved.  Back up and restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch using iCloud or iTunes - Apple Support
After backing up your data, try resetting all settings in Settings > General > Reset.  Try the camera and charger again to see if you still see the same strange behavior.  If so, there's likely a corrupted file in the iOS installation.  It's pretty easy to reinstall the operating system files to fix this -- you will need a computer with internet access.  Follow the steps in Use iTunes to restore your iOS device to factory settings - Apple Support to completely reinstall the iOS files and get a fresh, clean installation.
After using iTunes to restore the phone, go through the setup assistant on the phone and choose the option to Set up as a new iPhone.  Set it up as new and test the camera again -- if it works this time, that's a good sign!  After making sure it works properly, you can restore from the backup that created before doing all of the resets and restores.  This will bring your content and settings back to the phone.
    Good luck!

  • IPhone Randomly turns off.

My iPhone randomly turns off, mainly after I have been on the phone for 5 minutes or more, but it also turns off whilst playing games and sometimes even when it is just in my pocket doing nothing.
It can be really annoying during important phone calls or when I have been on hold for a few minutes and then just as I get through it cuts off.
It turns back on straight away, but I have to go through everything again.
It has done this since pretty much one month after I got it.
I have reset and I have all the latest updates, the support page doesn't seem to cover this problem.

Assuming that your phone is not jailbroken or hacked in any way, restore the phone in iTunes, first using a backup, and if needed as a new iPhone, without using a backup.  If restoring as new doesn't help, there is a hardware failure and you need evaluation by Apple or whoever provides iPhone service in your country.
