IPhone 6 losing music

I have only had my iPhone 6 three weeks now, thought there was no problems but over this last weekend my iPhone keeps 'losing' songs. I'be had to re sync all my music twice now for it only to happen again. It wouldn't be so bad but I have over 3500 songs so this takes a very long time.
Basically after syncing ining there on the iPhone, have spent 2 hours playing them in my car today and now all of a sudden they've just gone, now next to them there is a circular symbol with a stop button in the middle, pressing it does nothing.
Please help im bored of this now. Thanks Shaun

  • Losing music on iPhone, Losing music on iPhone

The second time this vacation somehow my iPhone decided it would be fun to delete all my music. I have not synced with iTunes (on vacation) or deleted the music myself. I do have iTunes match so after the first time I had to look for wifi to redownload at least some of my music. My foreigner Internet bundle is limited so it is a chore to find a decent wifi hotspot to download some music. But is did it and now everything is gone gain. What is wrong with my iPhone, I don't want to stay for hours t a Starbucks hotspot again to get some music back to find out that is is gone again a day later.

Glad I'm not the only one! I bought an iPhone 3GS on the 19th and I can see that all my songs from my MacBook but 6 load. I can't figure out what 6 did not load since all songs are checked for snyc.
Worse yet I purchased a Nike Run mix for 9.99 a year ago and the 5 minute stretch loaded and will play but it's not recognized as a workout mix on my iTunes (it was purchased on my crappy PC before it blew up with the SP3 upgrade). I can see it is on my iPhone when it is linked up to my MacBook; if I manually manage my songs I can click on it and play it from my iPhone, but I cannot see it or play it on my iPhone.
I've been to two Apple stores and followed their instructions to manually manage the account and only select that song to snyc. It didn't work. I deleted all my songs, then only clicked on the Nike mix and snyc'd it. Again, connected to the MacBook and iTunes it said I had one song loaded on my iPhone. The iPhone said I had nothing loaded into the iPod part of the phone. So I loaded all the songs back and I'm back where I originally was.
If I hadn't paid 9.99 for this maybe I wouldn't be so upset. If it wasn't one of my more favorite groups Cassius (I had to really lobby iTunes to load their music a couple of years ago so I was surprised they created a Nike run mix).
I think it has something to do with the FairPlay program they had briefly. This album is a fairplay album and says it only allows 2. With purchasing it on my PC, then my stupid PC crashing with SP3, then loading it again when I fixed the PC and then buying a MacBook and loading it there, I think it won't play on my iPhone because of the restrictions iTunes on with the fairplay program.
I am hoping they will let me purchase this again at no cost. Again I'm not paying 18.00 to buy this again.

  • HT1296 My iphone 4s is registered on my mac boo pro. Is it possible to sync my music from iphone to laptop without losing music content on iPhone

When I try to sync the music from my iphone 4s to mac book pro, I get a message that suggest that if I continue, the contents in my iphone will be replaced with whats already in the itunes on mac book pro (in other words my iphone 4s music collection will be all lost).  Is there a way of syncing the 2 devices without losing any of the music.  I seem to manage to sync other items like calendar, contacts, photos, books etc.

If the answer to the above question is "yes", FIRST, set up a backup of your new computer before you do anything else so the next time your computer breaks you will not be in the same situation. Backup solutions are numerous and inexpensive, and there is absolutely no excuse in the Third Millennium not to have one.
    Then see this tip: https://discussions.apple.com/docs/DOC-3141

  • All backup/sync files for Iphone lost on old PC, anyway to sync with new PC without losing music, photos, contacts and texts?

All backup/sync files for Iphone lost on old PC, anyway to sync with new PC without losing music, photos, contacts and texts?

Make sure your new computer is authorized in iTunes. Disable autosync in itunes, connect your iphone, right click on it in the device list and choose backup.
This will save data, pictures and settings to itunes. See what's included in this backup here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1766
Transfer your purchases the same way to copy all apps and bought media from the Store to your computer.
Set up at least one contact and event on your computer to be able the merge your calendars and contacts after your device got wiped during the first sync.
The rest of the data can be restored from the backup you made.
    Restoring: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1414
Music is one way only, from the computer to your device, unless you bought the songs in itunes and transferred your purchases.
Apps can be downloaded again for free, in the US music as well. Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store
There is 3rd party software out there, but not supported by Apple, see this thread: http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=2013615&tstart=0

  • Can I put my music from my ipod onto a new computer without losing music?

I have had to recently get a new computer. I have iTunes downloaded. I would like to put the music that i have on my ipod onto the new computer. I am afraid to sync in that I will lose my music and have to redo my library and lose purchased music as well.
Is it possible to do it without losing music?

One of the reasons why including your iTunes library with your computer's backup is a good idea. Use this link for future reference in this regard.
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1751
iTunes includes an option to transfer iTunes content that was purchased/downloaded from the iTunes store from an iPod, iPad, and iPhone, but this is for iTunes content that was purchased/downloaded from the iTunes store only.
First you need to authorize your new computer with your iTunes account with iTunes if you haven't already done so.
With your iPhone connected and without syncing, at the iTunes menu bar go to File and select Transfer Purchases From - the name of your iPhone.

  • Adding music to my ipod without my itunes and without losing music

I want to add music to my ipod, but am travelling, away from my own computer with my itunes library. Can I still add music on someone else's computer without losing the music I currently have on my ipod?

If you want to connect and use an iPod on more than one computer or with more than one library you need to change the update preference in the iPod Summary tab to "Manually manage music and videos" and click Apply. The content of iTunes and the iPod are not syncronised in this mode so the two can be different. You can directly access the content of the iPod and play it through iTunes and you can drag and drop whatever you want to the iPod from either library:
    Using iPod with Multiple computers
Managing content manually on iPod and iPhone
    Syncing Music to iPod
Something else to be aware of when using an iPod in manual mode is that the "Do Not Disconnect" message will remain on the display until you physically eject the device: Safely Disconnect IPod
If your iPod is set to update automatically you need to take care connecting to an different iTunes. You can use a keyboard command to prevent your iPod auto-syncing with iTunes. While connecting the iPod to the computer on Windows with iTunes 7.3 or later installed hold down the Shift + Ctrl keys together. This will stop the iPod from auto-syncing with iTunes and the iPod will appear in the source list. Wait until you are sure the iPod has mounted, and that it will not auto sync and then you can let the keys go. This may take between 20 to 30 seconds depending on your computer: iTunes - Keyboard Shortcuts for Windows

  • Losing music during sync

Every time I sync my iPhone, I lose music. I have it set up to manually sync music. When I transfer music from my iPhone to my computer, I lose other music on my iPhone (not necessarily the music I am transferring). When I load music to my iPhone, I lose other music. I saw something about the new DRM affecting things and it does seem to be the same music that I lose over and over, although not all of it was bought from iTunes. Some of it is music I have on CD. Anyone have any idea how to stop this? So far, I've only had to buy one CD twice but I can imagine that this could become pretty expensive.

The only music that can be transferred from your iPhone to your iTunes library on your computer is music that was purchased from the iTunes store with your iPhone, but this music should not be removed from your iPhone during this process, which depends on your sync settings for music.
During the first sync with iTunes after purchasing music with the iTunes store on your iPhone, an iTunes playlist is created under Store in the iTunes source list named - Purchased on - the name of your iPhone, which also places the music in your main iTunes library.
Are you manually managing music and videos with your iPhone - selected under the Summary tab for your iPhone sync preferences, or are you syncing your iPhone with iTunes?
If the latter, what is your selection under the Music tab for your iPhone sync preferences?
Syncing an iPod or an iPhone with iTunes does not delete music from your iTunes library on your computer. The sync process for iTunes content with an iPod or iPhone is a one way transfer process only - from your computer to your iPhone.
Are you losing music from your iTunes library on your computer?

  • Make my iphone manage music without itunes

    Hi everyone,
I cannot use my synchronized computer because of hardware error. So I formatted it and now I cannot synchronize my iphone with the computer without losing data. I don't need to synchronize it but I just want to manage my music, because I want to use iPhone default music app.
When I try to check 'manually manage music and video' box, it seems to be synchronized with the computer, so I cannot use the button.
In this case, what can be a solution?

You cannot change from syncing music to manually manage music without erasing the entire music library. Since you had it set to sync and want to change, iTunes assumes you want to remove the library. Since you have reformatted the computer, I would assume that you have not made a backup of your iTunes library. To get your music back to the computer without a backup copy, read this user tip supplied by another user. https://discussions.apple.com/docs/DOC-3141

iTunes Match is not sharable across Apple IDs. The best way to get the music on her iPad is to leave hers signed into her Apple ID on the iTunes Store and sync via USB.

  • HT1495 Can I add music from one iPod to another without losing music on the first ipod

Looking for a way to add music from one iPod to another iPod without losing music on the first iPod ... Please help

iPods are not backups or data transfer tools.
Move the music from the computer where it exists to the computer where you want it.
Then sync the music to the iPod.

I had music on my i tunes that I deleted.  When I sync my iphone the music that was deleted shows up.  How do I get rid of the music I do not want on my iphone?

Connect your I-phone to i-tunes , click on music . Not the one in the library but the music that opened up when you connected to i-tunes . Highlight the complete album or songs you want deleted, then right click and delete. Once you deleted the songs off you i-phone, then click the music from the library of your i-tunes. If that same music or album is also in there then repeat what you did in the i-phone to delete . This should take it all out.
    good luck

If Steve jobs still alive you would never have published such software, befor everything would have worked flawlessly.

You need to copy the iTunes liubrary from your Old computer, or its Backup, to your New computer...
    See Here for one way
iTunes: How to move your music to a new computer
    Or...
From your Old Computer... Copy your ENTIRE iTunes FOLDER to an External Drive... and then from the External Drive to your New Computer..
Backup iTunes to an External Drive
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1751
An Added Bonus is that you will then have a Backup of iTunes...
