IPhone 6 or 6 Plus hasn't shipped!!!

I am so annoyed with how many discussions there are on here about people freaking out that they have not yet received their new phone or that the trade in was a "scam".
How about taking two steps back and realizing you are not the center of the Universe, the Galaxy, the planet, or even this country. Verizon is the number 1 largest carrier in the US with the most number of customers. That means they have a lot of people, I mean millions, ordering these new phones and trading in their old phones. Yes it is a large company and yes it is split into many different regions for easier control and distribution. But wait, you are 1 of however many million orders they have the get through. They will get to you, CHILL!!
Verizon does not manufacture iPhones. They do not pull them from their pretty little bums and send them out to everyone. Apple makes iPhones. Apple is also a very large company who not only sell phones to Verizon, but also other carriers, which means their orders are multiplied. But they also have their own stores that they sell from. And like any business, they take care of themselves first. These phones are flying from their shelves too.
So let's break that down. First Apple can only manufacture so many phones at one time. As these phones are made they hit Apple stores. There has to be a constant flow to those stores as they are being sold quicker than they can stock the shelves. On top of that they are distributing loads to all carriers and even third party retailers that are all selling these phones at the same time. Verizon is one of those other carriers. Verizon is giving their customers a chance to get their orders in as quickly as possible. They are distributing the phones in chronological order of when the order was actually submitted. Be Patient!
As for the trade in. Verizon is processing millions of phones that are being traded in. They have to match the phone to the order to check for the promotion period of the enhanced value. They put each phone through a rigorous inspection to make sure it is actually in good working condition and qualifies for the promotion. Then they go through the process of entering the information from the phone into the system so they can get you your gift cards. Imagine that process, done by humans, one by one, for millions of trade ins. If you want to complain about it not being done quick enough, how about you go get a job in the processing warehouse and see if you can do it faster.

Agree there is not a scam going on. (note; you have probably not traded in an iphone 4s to Verizon before that was in great condition and had them give you $15.00 for it.) I am not trying to be offensive to you at all. This is not a personal issue. You are correct Verizon is a large company, that by the way is not loosing money or strapped to the point they could not afford to put things in place to better handle the "COMMUNICATION" of these pre-orders. There are customers who are just mad and claiming scams. My complaint is completely with the poor management of these orders and not having proper communication that should be expected of a company this size and stature. It is strictly a business that is not the best at keeping accurate information to their customers.
I hope no one takes offense to my comments, including people at Verizon.

    There were no iPhone 6 Plus available for a 9/19 ship date.
    All iPhone 6 Plus are back ordered until November.
    Our system was sold out as soon as the store went live for pre-sale.
    If you ordered within the first 10 minutes, most likely a mid October back order date, otherwise November.
    I would like someone to tell us what is going on with our orders.

    Just curious if I am the only that had a phone that was supposed to ship by the Nov 18th that hasn't shipped yet.  Checked today and it still hasn't shipped either.

    I guess the operative word is "estimated". I've had my ship date pushed back due to an order glitch, and from what I've read, the demand for the 4s everywhere is greater than Apple anticipated. So deliveries will be slower, unless you find one at an Apple store (being in the right place at the right time - that happened to my wife, I was slower in ordering mine).

    I pre-ordered bloodborne a few days ago hoping I would receive it on release date which is tomorrow and the game hasn't shipped yet which kinda makes me upset. I could of did store pick up and had the game on release date. I ordered games all the time from you guys and this has never happened. I call customer service tonight to try to change my order to store pick up instead but the guy knew nothing and offered me RZ credit and hung up. So I called back and got another repersentive told her how the guy hung up she couldn't do anything either. I'm just upset you offer pre-orders online and you can't get the game to me on release day which has never happened before. I been elite to elite plus for many years and this is only my second ever priblen with you guys.

    It is no secret that everyone wants a new release as soon as possible, which usually means on the day of release. To meet such expectations, we ship releases as soon as we can to be received as close to release day as possible. 
    It is discouraging to hear that your copy of Bloodborne may not have shipped the day prior to release, and that it may have caused you not to have it on the day of release. Using the email address you registered with the forum, I see that this game shipped on release day, and was delivered today. I apologize for any frustration that this may have caused you.

  • Got UPS tracking number yesterday but it still just says "label created" and hasn't shipped :( What gives?

    I was overjoyed yesterday to get an e-mail with a tracking number for my (pre-purchased, not just pre-ordered) iPhone 6.  However, I have kept checking the tracking number, and it still says the same thing.
    A UPS shipping label has been created. Once the shipment arrives at our facility, the tracking status--including the scheduled delivery date--will be updated.
    Woops, pardon my formatting.  Anyway, if it still hasn't shipped, how is it going to arrive tomorrow??  It said it was next day saver.  Even last night (9/17) it was dated 9/18.  I figured it would ship today and arrive Friday.  I am bummed, but more than anything, it would be nice to just know what's going on.  And if it doesn't come tomorrow, I wish it had been shipped FedEx or something so it could arrive Saturday.  I don't think UPS does Saturday delivery.  So unless it has already shipped and they just haven't updated it, it doesn't seem like I'll get my phone til Monday, despite having already purchased it.
    Thanks for listening to me gripe.  Any insight would be appreciated.  The store I ordered from (Verizon reseller) doesn't have any info beyond what I have.

    Yes, I do have multiple devices and it appeared to me that every time I tried to sync or log onto iTunes, the password was incorrect.  Consequently, I was and am constantly changing it.  Wouldn't it be nice if Apple would simply say that you only need one Apple ID and one password regardless of the number of Apple devices you intend to sync via iTunes. 
    Barring the above, how about a way to merge all of the Apple IDs and passwords into one.

    The GSM radio is unlocked on ALL new LTE capable LTE phones. That's required by law now as a condition of winning a spectrum auction by Verizon.
    If and when Verizon enables Voice over LTE, you should be able to get simultaneous voice and data if you subscribe to that feature and are connected to their LTE network. You'll have to ask Verizon if and when that will be available to you.

    Merci, j'ai finalement trouvé la solution assez approchante.
    En fait je ne suis pas en Time Capsule mais en liaison réseau sur une disque Iomega Nas.
    Dans l'interface de mon NAs j'ai supprimé le répertoire et j'en ai recrée un avec un nom différent.
    J'ai redéfini ce nouveau dossier partagé comme partage TimeMachine dans l'interface Iomega et j'ai relancer timemachine et ca fonctionne maintenant.
