Iphone 6 plus 128gb blue plastic sticking out from the brand new phone
I entered into a 24 mths phone plan and got the iPhone 6plus 128gb. I later discovered (after unboxing), a blue plastic sticking out from the phone (on the side). Anyone experienced the same thing before? Do you think I will get a replacement from Apple? The phone company told me to go to apple retail store. It is 1 hr away from where I live!!
I went to the retail store and they told me the mobile phone carrier should have just swapped it for me in store! So had to drive back to get it replaced at the original store.. o well at least they admitted that it was DOA and so they didnt ask too many qns as a result.
The genius at the store said that it is a leftover plastic inside the phone. It should have been removed during the manufacture but obviousky it was not.

When i wake up the phone, in the main window all apps are seen in upside down position. and you can not fix it without opening the phone again. i have searched the internet about this problem and i have seen that lots of users have the same problem too.
i restored and reset all settings of my phone but nothing has changed. i want help from apple world....Is the portrait lock on control panel off or on Is the lock switch on side of iphone off or on Have you tried this press & hold power button & menu button hold both down Until you see Apple Logo you wil not lose any data. Plastic film sticking out from glass iPhone 6
Hi,
I picked up an Iphone 6 this past weekend, and when I got home I realized that a VERY small piece of plastic film is sticking out from "under" the edge of the glass on the face. The film is only 1 or 2 millimeters in size.
Soft of thin film like sometimes "peels off" new electronics. I would grab it and pull - but just in case, if anyone else has encountered this issue.
Is it safe to pull it off?

DavidPersonally, if you're able to, I'd take it to the Apple Store and let them remove it. If they can't, they'll replace the phone.

What solutions are available for fixing iphone 6 plus 128gb with continuous reboot (700 apps)
Upgraded iPhone 5 64gb phone to iPhone 6 Plus 128gb and phone went into cycling reboot. Have 1260 apps installed on iPhone 5 with flawless functionality using IOS 7.1.2. Apple Genius Bar unable to get working and since phone was bought at Apple online, could only offer refund, as an exchange phone would not be able to be returned if problem existed on exchanged phone.Something to do with my phone coming directly from China, even though Apple recommended having an easier buying experience using the internet. BTW, 3 employees that I was handed off to said they had never seen this symptom, even after doing Google search in front of me showing a good number of reports of this issue. Are employees hiding this situation from customers or just not engaged in Apple products to be knowledgeable of current issues?
Some dialogue indicates that there may be iPhones with MLC NAND flash memory instead of the cheaper TLC NAND flash memory that may solve this issue. How can I request this hardware fix? Does Apple notify distributors of serial numbered devices that have this upgrade? Are distributors able to offer this upgraded hardware to the end users that happen to fall in this statistically low percentage group that need this type of fix to return functionality to their purchase?
Coincidentally, my iPad2 (64gb) developed the exact same symptom when I upgraded from 7.x.x to 8.1.1 (which was purported to fix this problem) which suggests that it is linked to the 8.x code in some way). I was able to return functionality by restoring from a backup (thru iTunes) and limit apps to 468 installed.
By my iPhone 6 Plus being returned with no warranty exchange, I fear that no data was collected to further the need for Apple to gather an appropriate degree of accurate information to process this need respectfully.
Frustrated (and loyal owner of every iPhone to date) and looking for answers.I am forced to continue use of iPhone 5 with 7.1.2 (no hope of going to 8.x) and somehow being cut out of group that had battery recall with this phone needing 3 charges/day and NO upgrade path at the moment.I had the same problem, crashes every 5 minutes or more. Apple support did as if it was my problem with apps, no hardware problem. I did return the iPhone and are using my old iPhone 5 again, with all my apps and IOS 8.1.1, no problems, no crashes. Now I think of a Samsung Note Edge, was a Apple supporter since iPhone 3.

What is the status of the iPhone 6 plus 128GB pre-orders?
Does anyone know the delivery status of the iPhone 6 plus 128GB pre-orders made within the first hour on the verizonwireless.com website? I fully completed the process online for a silver iPhone 6 plus 128GB and received three indications of a 9/19 delivery date (an order summary webpage, an order confirmation webpage, and an order confirmation email with the correct phone upgrade order). My online verizonwireless.com account doesn't show any orders (in the past 120 days), but when I put in the pre-order confirmation number and my last name I get the message "We received your order and it is in process. Expected Ship Date: Not available at this time" During Friday and Saturday the date showed 10/14 (not even the 9/19 on the three confirmations). The question is what is the real delivery date, and was the pre-order really even received? Is there a Verizon rep online that might be able to check if I provide the necessary numbers and tell me what is the status of my pre-order? Thanks anyone for any assistance.

I was able to start my order around 2:57am and then with some confusion over losing my unlimited plan & having to choose a new one I probably didn't get the order in until around 3:15-3:20....But my confirmation email didn't come through until 4:55am and I know I was definitely done ordering the phone WAY before then! So I bet they did the first cut off at 4:55 then sent out confirmation emails for those who made the cut! Phew! It's all making sense now thanks to your information! I ordered the 6+ 128gb in gold btw and I can't wait, my 4s is still 3G and it's long overdue for retirement!!

Hello, I preordered the iPhone 6 Plus 128GB at 2:58am ET and was shown a delivery date of 09/19. However, when I received the email and check my status online, it's showing a delivery date of 10/14. Why is there a difference when I was shown one thing and completed the pre-order as soon as it was available. I'm contemplating cancelling my service with Verizon over this because of this. I want the date of 09/19 that I was shown when my order submitted. Once again, why is there a difference? I'm quite upset over this matter and wish for it to be resolved right away.
I suggest you call and do the automated order status checker.
I placed mine 10 minutes after midnight PDT, both the page and the email stated delivery by 9/19. Later when I checked the online status it moved to 10/14, now it's unavailable.
If you call them using the automated order status checker, you MIGHT have a newer status update. At least my says "pending shipment". I will just have to wait and see when it goes out.

safari keeps crashing on my iPhone 6 plus 128GB. Its done this since I bought it in Nov 2014. I've rebooted, soft reboot. Any suggestions?

Welcome to the Apple Support Communities!
I understand that Safari on your iPhone is not functioning as you would expect. In this situation, there are a few different steps I would recommend.
First, I would recommend clearing your history and website data as described in the attached article.
Safari web settings on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support
After the data has been cleared, I would recommend closing Safari completely as described in the next attached article.
Force an app to close in iOS - Apple Support
After Safari has been closed, reset your iPhone again. After the reset, open Safari fresh and use it as you normally would. If the issue continues, please let me know.

I have just setup my iphone 6 plus 128GB and the new free apps are missing (iMovie, pages etc) but they are on the App Store but I have to purchase them??
How do I download them for free?I Purchased the iPhone 6 plus direct from Apple and it only arrived yesterday. I have tried reseting the phone to factory and they are still not there but I have to pay for them in the App Store (£2.99 for imovie!).

Sighhhh, wasted so much time yesterday and today going around Sony centre and then carphone warehouse. They told me to come back after Easter.
I came home, banged the phone against the wall and it worked.
Turned out that mic was working on loud speaker and when using headphones so I thought that the secondary mic is working and the main one (placed with the speakers) isn't. So I banged that part against the wall slightly (in plastic case to prevent scratches) then put the phone underwater, waited for it to dry and now it's working. Idk how well and if it's of perfect quality again but people can hear me well. -
will the iphone 6 plus work in pakistan if i buy the unlocked and contract free version from the apple store? why is t mobile written on top of the button? it is so confusing no one will give me a straight answer on this. if i buy that one, would there be any monthly charges involved or not?
Are you planning on flying to and visiting the US? That is the only way you are going to get an iPhone from the Apple store because you will not be able to purchase one from the Apple store online and get it sent to Pakistan - it can't be done and Apple online stores will not ship internationally.
You have not got a straight answer to this question because there is none. The phone has T-Mobile on the top button, because it is a T-Mobile phone and although sold as contract free, but NOT unlocked - notice the difference, it still comes with a T-Mobile sim card.
The phone may or may not work in Paskistan and if you do buy the phone, to ensure that it has the best possible chance of working is to take the T-Mobile sim card out of the phone first and DO NOT activate the phone using the T-Mobile sim. If you want to use it in Pakistan, then activate it with your local Pakistan sim card and you will not be paying any charges to T-Mobile if you do this. If you do happen to accidentally activate the phone with the T-Mobile sim card in it, then you will have a contract with them and yes, you will have a monthly bill with T-Mobile and you will need to keep this contract for 40 days, until you can get the phone unlocked by them.
Also note, that if you buy the phone it may not work on 4G networks in Pakistan due to frequency differences and also you will have no warranty cover for the phone in Pakistan - iPhone warranty is NOT international, so country of original purchase, so the US, which means you have to fly back there - no postage accepted.
So basically, the phone should work in Pakistan, but not on the 4G networks and you need to take the T-Mobile sim card out before you activate it and activate it using a local sim card and you will have NO warranty cover for the phone in Pakistan. -
IPhone 6 Plus connects to Airport Extreme but not the internet
Light on my Airport Extreme is green and the Airport Utility on the iPhone 6 Plus shows that it's connected to the Airport, but not the internet. What the strange this is, I am still getting email and message notifications but just can't view them.
However the internet connection on both my iPad Air and Macbook Pro are working perfectly fine, and they are both connected to the same Airport Extreme.
The firmware on Airport is updated, I have tried to reset network settings and restarting the iPhone with no luck. Any suggestions on what to do?Give me a screenshot of the working network IP setup on the MBP.
It should look like this. I need to see the IP address and you can also copy and paste for me the dns address.
The same thing from the iphone IP address and DNS will then help me figure out what is wrong.
If they both have an IP like 10.0.1.xx then the DNS or gateway (what apple calls router) has setup wrongly .. try setting manually with the same values exactly as the MBP.
If however the IP is something public like 200.100.2.100 and the other ipad is similar the Airport is setup wrongly in bridge and you have exhausted the available IP addresses so redo the setup of the Extreme so it is in router mode. -
I have a new iPhone 6 plus and all is OK. But the mail shows more than 400 'unread' messages whereas there are none in the mailbox or trash or anywhere else I have looked. I can send and receive with no problem. I'm sure I have no unread messages.
