Iphone 6 plus 16GB storage problem
Halo Apple , i used iphone 5s 16GB , now i want to renew contract with Maxis but only got Iphone 6 Plus 16GB , i got apps like facebook&messenger , whatsapp , wechat , youtube , instragram , weibo , waze , google maps , car loan calculator , lunar calender , whosay , fifa 14 , 2000+ photos , 15 HD MTV , i see many forum said no enough , is that true ?
Apple is not here. The forum is for Apple users like you.
As an Apple user, my opinion is you should either purchase an iPhone with more storage, or remove quite a few of the apps and/or data you mentioned.

I bought today an iPhone 6 Plus 16GB and noticed that out of the 16GB 1.3GB were already used and that 10GB is free. When I had iPhone 5 16GB it had 14GB free.
Is there anyway to retain the space?I know that a portion is for the OS. But it under the storage it shows 1.3 GB used and 10GB free. There is at least 2GB missing. Now with some apps installed I have 5.4GB used and 6.4GB free. Thats 11.8GB, so the OS is 3-4GB in size?

Why is it sold as 16gb of storage if the actual, real storage is then displayed (on both iTunes and the iPhone itself) as only 11.7gb?
Where is the rest of the supposed storage? Is there a way to understand why it's this way?
I'm not talking about how much I use, I'm talking about the total hardware storage.
I bought a 16gb 'cause I've always only used about 12-13gb on my old 4S (64gb), so 64 was a waste of money in the end but now 32 isn't available anymore.
I thought 16 will be more than enough, even if the real storage is then only about 15 or so.
Leaving a couple gb out for iOS updates and stuff, should be no problem.
BUT 11.7! Now I'll have to delete some things and I don't think it's fair to pay for 16 and get 11...
Anyone have an idea? Is it only my phone in particular?The storage is occupied with iOS and system files. To free up some space you may try to reset and restore your device.
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button
Press and hold on the Home button
Keep holding both buttons until the display turns off and back on with Apple logo on it.
Alternatively, you may go to Settings - General - Reset - Reset All Settings
If this does not help, try these steps. Note that this may erase the data from your computer.
You need to restore your device to factory settings.

If this does not help, try the recovery mode. Turn your device off, then plug it to your computer with the home button pressed. You will need to have iTunes installed on this computer. Keep the Home button pressed until you see the iTunes logo on the screen of your iPhone. After that on your computer you should see the iTunes window saying your iPhone needs to be restored to factory settings. Click on the restore button.

Hi guys.
How much storage is taken up by the operating system for ip6 plus?
I recently bought my ip6 plus and as soon as I activated the unit, I checked the capacity (Settings>>General>>About) and it says Capacity: 11.8 GB.
So the iOS is roughly 4++GB? Is it normal?

Play Station Plus Online Storage Problem
So, my Play Station Plus account expired. I was trying to recover my data on Sistem Online Storage, but it didn't let me. It said for me to buy again the Ps Plus membership,and it still was using my memory. Can someone help me recover the data please?
You can only use the cloud storage when you have an active PS Plus subscription. Unless you renew it, you can't use it.

i'm a new user on iPhone. My sister gave me her old iPhone that she bought in UK, she she it here in the Philippines and i'm having problems because i can't use it. i already restored it to set it up new but i couldn't still activate it. It says, " Your iPhone could not be activated because the activation server cannot be reached." and "The SIM card that you currently have installed in this iPhone is from a carrier that is not supported under the activation policy that is currently assigned by the activation server. This is not a hardware issue with the iPhone. Please insert another SIM card from a supported carrier or request that this iPhone be unlocked by your carrier. Please contact Apple for more information."

i have an Iphone 4 16gb and updated the IOS 6.1.2. after the update my 3G is not working at all??. can you please suggest what can be done to rectify this problem?

I purchased 20GB from I cloud and it says it has used about 12 GB and I have about 8 Left on Icloud but I still have no storage left on my phone and cannot take photos, download apps, etc.. I read that the process is supposed to save a smaller version of the photo on my phone and save the higher resolution version in the cloud. It does not seem to have done this however. I do not want to risk deleting.
Also I ahve photos there that are 5 years old and I do not need them to appear on my phone. Can I delete them and still keep them in Icloud? It seems I could not bsed upon what I read. Please hlep. I a comig from using a Droid for the past 5 years.Lets get the feature to work, Doc_Gorgonzola! I assure you that its compatible with the 6 and 6+. <Personal Information Edited By Host>I had the same problem. Kept getting message of waiting for activation or check network connections. I also tried every solution out there and nothing worked. This did though: I download the newest version of itunes (through Internet Explorer - Google Chrome wouldn't work). It pulled in my entire library thank goodness and then I plugged my iphone 4s into the computer. I let itunes find it, did a complete backup in icloud, then did a restore. Entire process took a couple of hours, but I now have imessage and facetime back. I was about ready to give up on Apple and go get a different phone ~

try this and see if it works: connect your iPhone and open up iTunes on your PC. Go to your phone's page. Under Summary page, check manually manage music and videos.

Many of the times my Iphone 3G 16GB shows "No Service" in the specific network area, but if the same sim card is used with other mobile handset in the same network area its shows full network, Is this a Iphone 3G Handset problem or is it a problem with network service provider for iphone in india with Airtel.
Try to reset Network setting thru (Setting/General/Reset/Reset Network Setting - after clicking on it the phone will ask to reboot)
According to my R&D I have experienced that one must reset the network each time when we r at home or in office or other places, the phone after resetting the network setting acquires the area specific network setting n works well, try it & if any other solution do let me known
Calling up customer care did not help me, they do keep us in a loop with the same old answeres that “Our technical team is working on it & WILL GET BACK TO u” leaving us with no solution at the end

If you can find out what country your iPhone was officially sold in, you could take it there (or if originally sold in the EU, take it to any EU country where Apple officially sells the iPhone) or you could send the iPhone to someone you know in that country who could get it serviced and then ship it back to you. Apple Support does not accept shipments from other countries, and will not ship a serviced iPhone to another country.
This, though, presumes that the iPhone has not been modified as your service provider claimed. If it has, Apple will not provide service for it in any country.
You may be able to find out what country your iPhone was officially sold in by calling Apple Support:

and giving them the serial number.
