Iphone 6 Plus Bend!
Using Iphone 6 plus silver 16 GB as I used to use my iphone 5s but in this case it got bend in my pocket i gav a complaint no: 749623322 first they tried to help out to replace at free of cost as it was just a bent nor a scratch or a dent or a crack on the phone verified by nearest apple service centre.
I respect apple products a lot my case was running for about two-three weeks stating u r a valued customer we will take u as an exception but later denied feeling helpless now.
I hav two ipads (ipad 1, ipad 4), one imac, one imac pr0, all family members using iphone (iphone5s 64gb,2 iphone6, 1 iphone 5).
But not happy with the service after owning the expensive smartphone phone currently in the market. :-(

My iphone plus is bending, what does Apple offer regarding this issue?
I am trying to get to contact with Apple Customer Care, but not clear to me how to do it beside this channel of communication. I bought the phone from kosovar carrier which is under Slovenian ownership. This means that the original warranty comes from Slovenia, bit complicated but still I would like to get an urgent answer how to proceed with this issue, thanksMaybe i should have only asked if anyone is aware on apple's policy
regarding bending. I took the point that this seems not a proper forum to
pose Q's to apple thanks to both

Apple's not the one that put it in your jeans. Apple's not the one the exerted excessive pressure onto the device. My iPhone 6 has never had such a bend. Nor have any of the 45 iPhone 6 units I manage.
You damaged it. That's not a defect. That's user abuse. That's not covered under the warranty. And additionally, the warranty of the iPhone is not, and never has been, international. Cite your source for this information. Show us exactly where Apple has ever stated that the iPhone warranty is international. -
iphone6 plus bending with small pressure.
Is this faulty structural design ( IMPROPER FEA analysis test)?Justrol wrote:
I believe it is a faulty structural design and there is one person to blame for that.
In most of the corporate world you have various teams that bring a product to market. You have the designers, the engineers, the financial team, marketing team, etc. As the product progresses through each department to ensure that it meets all the standards and requirements of each department, the product changes and morphs in such a way that sometimes the end product looks nothing like the original design. Look at concept cars for example. Concept cars almost never look exactly like the end product usually because the original concept car is too expensive, too fragile, or to inefficient to product on a mass scale.
Apple on the other hand has one person on the design team who has enough influence and power to ensure that his designs and end product are one in the same; Jony Ive. Because of Jony's influence at Apple he can design a device that, although aesthetically beautiful and a marvel in industrial design, is also structurally unsound and more fragile than most other products on the market. Jony's principles of design place emphasis on innovation and aesthetics over durability and robustness.
I'm pretty confident that Jony and other engineering/design departments at Apple knew that the iPhone 6 was susceptible to bending however the emphasis was on being the thinnest and the most aesthetically pleasing device on the market even if it means sacrificing on things like fragility and having a camera lens protrude out of the back of the device when the common practice in most cameras is to recess the lens in order to protect the glass.
Gotta love Apple.
Really? Have you read this? http://finance.yahoo.com/news/apple-nine-iphone-6-pluses-192500757.html
Seems your assertion it's a structural design flaw isn't particularly supported. -
Is iPhone 6 bending easily ?
Is iPhone 6 bending easily ?

I've now learned that Consumer Reports says that it takes 70lbs of pressure to bend an iPhone 6 in the middle compared to 130lbs for the iPhone 5. That tells me the iPhone 6 is almost 50% weaker than the iPhone 5.
It takes nothing less than an artillery shell to penetrate Superman's skin. Another superhero (we'll call him 'Bob') can't withstand an artillery shell, but even .50 caliber bullets bounce off his skin. So, yeah, Bob isn't as tough as Superman. But that doesn't mean Bob is a weakling.
The fact that a previous device has greater durability than a current device is irrelevant. What is relevant is if the stress tolerances are sufficient for day-to-day use. 70 lbs of pressure means you have to apply significant pressure to cause damage.
Go to a gym, and find a 70 lb weight. Pick it up in one hand. The amount of force you have to use just to pick it up is the same amount of force you'd have to exert on the iPhone to bend it. It's not an everyday occurrence. It happens through accident or neglect. You may not think you had an accident or caused neglect... but you did. Unintentionally, of course, but your iPhone did not just 'bend all on it's own'. That violates the laws of physics. There had to be some external (or, possible, but rare, internal) force applied. -
My iphone just bend what will i do?

The iPhone 6 bends it needs a new metal structure
the IPhone 6 bends you may have seen this. The reason for it is because near the volume adjuster the chassis is extremely thin so with pressure it will bend. in the meantime you should buy a case to protect it from bending
Ask them if its normal or try a google search and find out for yourself.
Without any details about where you are and whether this is Apple or another compan we cannot really answer your question. -
What is to be done about the iPhone 6 plus bending
I pre order the iPhone 6 plus and yet to have my item but on searching the internet it's came across that the iPhone 6 plus is bending why being in your pocket.
now being a builder I will be cancelling my order if it don't her something is to be done to fix this problem. This is really disappointing news. I have seen the you tube videos showing simple hand pressure destroying the iPhone 6 Plus. I have been waiting for my iPhone 6 Plus on order with BestBuy but honestly, this thing just bent so easily that I don't know how I can justify $1000 on a phone that is very likely to bend on me with just normal use. You shouldn't have to put your iPhone into a military case just to keep it from bending with normal use. I was just going to buy a silicon case to help protect against drops. But that won't stop it from bending based on what I saw in the demonstration video. Maybe its the curved edge combined with the pliability of aluminum alloy and the weakness where the volume controls are. Maybe the volume controls should have been smaller and round to make it stronger. I'd certainly rather it be heavier but unbendable.
I really miss Steve Jobs. I don't think he would have let this phone go to market with such an easily detectable flaw and I think he would have been more demanding about bringing out a phone that truly wowed the world after such a LONG wait for the new update. I was happy with the iPhone 6 Plus overall but I truly think Steve would have had it to market sooner and with more WOW, and without bending like cheap junk. I know the phone is not junk but a fatal flaw like this makes it just about as useful as junk.
**** I miss Steve Jobs. -
IPhone 6 and 6 plus bending problem sollution
Hello Apple,
recently as some of the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus users are having the issue of bending, I found out a sollution for this problem. And the sollution is that Apple can make a strong case which protects the Iphone 6 and 6 plus from bending.
THis is a way out as if apple goes out with the sollution of redesigning it is not going to be suitable as apple has already manufactured so many iPhone 6 and plaus.
HOpe Apple takes my Sollution and all the best.I Have done some more testing and it seems turning off HDR resolves the issue

A Lot of peole said that the iphone 6 plus and maybe the 6 bends because of the use of putting it in your pocket. So im thinking, are you going to make another iphone 6 that has stronger metal that is going to be fexible or are you going to make it a little thicker so it wont be a problem everyday?
Well unfortunately my iPhone 6 128GB is bending by the volume buttons. Have a Spigen Neo Hybrid case on it and has just been in my pockets whenever I don't use it. I also noticed an LCD hot spot in the middle of the screen. I'm very upset at the fact I'm having this issue..Not to mention I live 2 hours away from the nearest Apple store and for me to drive there just to get a replacement is an inconvenience of time and money...Also at this time most apple stores are out of stock of my device which puts me at an even more upsetting state.

I have a 16 Gb iphone plus can I pay to have more storage?
I got a new Iphone 6 plus from C.C. at sears but all they wereoffering in the 16 GB phone but I like there share plans for my wife and I; and they use AT&T cell towers which works great for us where we live. I would of rather of had a larger Gb like 64 or more so can I go to my nearest apple store and pay to have my cell phone up graded? I have a 30 days to use and If I don't like the phone I can send it back, but I really like the phone just not the storage. I only added 6 new ring tones and have use up already 4 gb of memory I was blown away. this phone will be out of storage in no time even with I-cloud so this is the question I am willing to pay for an up grade is it possible or should I send it back and go to the apple store and get the one I want the go back to sears and Consumer Cellular and still use them for my service? with my phone thanks in advance Zack.
Apple will not accept a return for an iPhone purchased at Consumer Cellular. You cannot
add additional memory to an iPhone. If you wish one with more memory, sell
the one you have and use the funds received towards the purchase of the model
you desire.
You can return your current iPhone to your wireless provide, purchase one with
more memory at Apple and take that iPhone to Consumer Cellular to have them
activate it on their network. Before doing so, be use that Consumer Cellular will
accept iPhones not purchased directly from them and if they do, which models
they support. -
IPhone 6 bending - can I do anything about it?!
I have had my phone for just a couple months and its bent. What do I do! Very upset . The person I was chatting with (Erick, case # 733004901) was no help and the chat was disconnected.
Now chatting with Erick, case # 733004901
ErickThanks for contacting AppleCare chat support. My name is Erick. How can I help you?
Me:hi i have had my phone for a couple months now and there is a bend in the phone.
Me:i just noticed it yesterday
ErickOk so if I understand the issue correctly your iPhone is bent. Is that correct.
Me:yes
The issue of a bent iPhone is regarded as accidental damage to the iPhone. And a Out of warranty fee is needed to fix this issue.
Me:even if i have only had the phone for a couple of months
Me:?
Me:i put the phone in my pocket, i dont sit on it so i am not really sure how this even happned
how much is the fee
ErickThe out of warranty fee for the iPhone 6 is $299.
Me:so thats it
Me:i just have to pay the 300 to fix it
and i have only had it 2 months
ErickCorrect that would be the only option that we have.
Me:i've never heard of a phone bending
Me:ive had an iphone since they came out and this is my first issue like this

HELP!?!?! iPhone 5 bending issue
Has anyone experienced their iPhone 5 splitting at the volume button and then the whole iPhone starts to bend, I honestly don't know how this happened since I keep my iPhone in a case protected, haven't dropped or sat on it.. Just wondering if apple would repair this for free or would I have to pay if so how much cause I've only had my phone since Christmas?
Yes,
There are pic's on line of others that have experienced the same issue. Many of the pic's are excessive but it is a real problem. It has happened to me twice, it's not as rigid as prior designs. I use a mophie case now and that keeps it protected but is bulky. Element makes a thinner case that works as well. My bet is that you won't see an aluminum back on the next one. -
