IPhone 6 Plus - Display Glass Sticks Out
When i finally got my iPhone 6 Plus last week I noticed a rattling sound while I gently knocked on the display glass. It had nothing to do with the buttons, camera or anything like that. It came from the upper left corner and stretched about 2 inches below. Holding the phone from the side I could see that the glass sticks out only a little bit (and we are talking about a fresh out of the box device). Apparently enough to make the rattling sound when gently knocking on the glass. If I pressed my thumb somewhere near the corner the rattling noise was gone.
I called it in with Apple and I got my replacement unit today showing the exact same behavior which is rather disappointing when talking about a 1000$ device. Can you reproduce the behavior with your iPhone 6 Plus?
My iPhone 5 did the same thing. Real pain if you restart. Does not change anything if you reset.

If you take a look at the Lifeproof fre and it's features, I don't think you should need a tempered glass screen. I have found this case to be so perfect that the touch ID works better than it did directly on the iPhone 6 Gorilla Glass.

Come on Apple get to rightIt's not a hardware problem so far as I am concerned. Hardware problem would indicate that the accelerometers are "sticking" and making the phone think it's actually upside down.
The weird thing is - on mine, when this happens, the springboard screen is completely upside down upon unlock. If I continue to hold the phone right side up and I open any apps - they will correctly launch in the home button-down orientation. Once I leave said app, springboard is still upside down.
If it were an accelerometer (hardware) issue - then the apps would also load in the incorrect (upside down) orientation. It simply is a bug with Springboard and I have no idea how to reproduce it - but I can say that it seems to randomly just decide to wake from sleep upside down.
For me - the only way to "resolve" the issue is to restart the phone by either powering off and back on, or by holding both buttons until I see the apple icon (warm reboot).
For clarity - I am using a 128GB 6+ -

I got my iPhone 6 Plus delivered and it shows 12 hours 20 Minutes of cellular usage out of the box. I checked with an Apple representative and they say it might be tested and hence the hours. Any ideas? Should I return and get another one?
If you put the camera right next to your ear when you have the camera working can you hear the OIS motors buzzing away as if they are constantly moving? How about the front camera? Is that working correctly?m There seems to be a few threads on here saying that the OIS for the 6 plus is a bit iffy, my best advice is to book in to your nearest Apple Store to have it looked at, If they can spot the problem they will either replace the whole handset or the camera (which takes an hour)

IPhone 6 Plus - Issue whilst dialing out
I had my screen changed at an Apple store about 2months ago and ever since i have been experiencing problems making phone calls.
Firstly i'd like to point out that the issue isn't service related (i'm with EE) as i'm on a business contract and nobody else who has a mobile phone through my business is suffering with the same issue i am.
It also isn't software related as we all have the same phones and up-to-date software.
Which leads me to believe it's hardware related.
Basically when i make a phone call (and this happens every other call pretty much), the person on the other end of the line cannot hear me for the first 5-10 seconds and then it starts working. Tried reading about this everywhere and nobody else seems to have the same problem. I can only assume maybe one of the Apple Technicians may have damaged the microphone in some way whilst replacing the screen.
One odd fact that's worth pointing out is that the issue never happens when receiving calls.
My question is: can the microphone be replaced under warranty by Apple? I understand the screen was cracked because i dropped the phone but the microphone was working perfectly fine when the screen was damaged and i've only been experiencing problems since it was replaced.
My second question is: has anyone else got or experienced this problem which has since been resolved?
Any feedback or advice is much appreciated.I am having the same issue! I received my new iPhone 6 plus from atnt yesterday at 10am ... activated it and asked phone to restore from my sprint iPhone5s backup at 10:30 am. It is now 2:17pm the next day and most of the apps that are incomplete are still incomplete right now. What can I do to fix this or do I have to just wait?

IPhone 6 Plus: home button sticking and making clicking noise
Hello everyone,
I bought an iPhone 6 plus 64GB Space Grey. I bought it about 2 months ago. Day by day the home button start to become noisy and sticky. Everytime I press the home button everyone in the room hear the sound very clear.
I brought it to an Apple Third Party store in my country. but the staff there seem not really care about my issue. They said unless the home button is completely broken. How could I do?
Day by day the sound become louder and louder. I really feel uncomfortable about this. And I just feel that my iPhone is going to be broken soon.
Note: my phone has official warranty from Apple.
Any Idea? Thanks in advance.I also have the 64 GB iPhone 6 Plus Space Grey and after two display (includes Home Button) replacments and 1 full device replacement and I end up with this issue. My home button is LOUD and CLICKY every time I press to the point it feels plasticky...I will probably go into the Apple Store and demand a perfect (or at least close to perfect) full device replacement and inspect in front of the Genius to try to pinpoint any issues. If they do not comply, I'll just call Apple Care and set up an Express or Standard Replacement.
However, I do not suggest you do that. Last time I rubbed alcohol on my iPad mini 2's home button, it messed up the software and I got a replacement.

IPhone 6 Plus Display Zoom needs an iPhone 5 option.
The standard option is comical. I feel like it's for visually challenged users. I purchased the bigger phone for more real estate, not a larger UI.
A simple third option for Display Zoom would suffice, call it small/tiny if you must (although 'original' would be a better PR move).
Just add more width, not height to the UI. Done.This is a user-to-user forum. Any Apple Store employees that participate would be doing so as private user, not employees.

IPhone 6 plus display more than 9 apps in a folder
With the bigger screen, can I have more than 9 apps displayed at one time? Maybe another row or 2 would be good.
It is what it is. When you open a folder with 12 apps, it takes the entire screen with the folder pointing to the icon folder above. The only way to display more apps would be either smaller icons or a scrolling folder.
Do what I do. For example, games on mine are in the following folders, Games1, Games2. The two folders sit right next to each other. I have other multiple folders named similarly. -

When I go to select the backup that I want to restore on my new iPhone 6 PLUS it is greyed out and therefore
will not allow me to select it. I’m not too sure why that is happening.The only reference I can find to 8.3.1 is for a jailbreak. Sorry we that iOS version has not been released by Apple yet.

I've lost or i should say it been stolen my new iPhone 6 Plus and i figure out that it has been stolen when i try to call it and it was switched off and it was almost fully charged when i lost it so the question is : if i buy a new one and used the same apple ID can the" find my iPhone" app still work to find my lost one??

As said IF it can be tracked. Find My Phone had to have been turned on on the lost phone plus the phone needs to be turned on as well with either a wifi or cellular connection. -
I just received my iPhone 6 plus and set it up... when I went to mail and turned the phone horizontally, I didn't see the "split screen" where the list of mail appears on the left side like on the iPad and like is advertised in the iOS 8 videos for the plus.
I went searching and didn't find an answer - but I did discover why!
If you set up the phone to use the "Zoom" setting when setting up the iPhone 6 Plus display settings, then you won't get the splitscreen! You can only see that if you pick "standard"

I selected zoom format for my aging eyes, but the split screen is more important to me. To compensate I changed the Text Size to the maximum setting. (Even larger sizes are available in Accessibility Settings.)
Settings > Display & Brightness > Display Zoom View > Standard (to get split screen)
Settings > Display & Brighness > Text Size (slide to max)
