My iPhone 6 Plus front camera is having problems. Sometimes it doesn't work at all and the camera app freezes. Sometimes it works fine for a little while and sometimes it shows multi color static or lines.
I've tried:
Restoring from phone (without restoring backup)
Restoring from iTunes (without restoring backup)
Deleting ispw and re-downloading iOS 8.1.1 then restore
The phone is less than 2 months old. I noticed it acting weird a week or so after I bought it but thought it was just software. At first it wouldn't work when using the camera app but worked fine using facetime. Now it acts up regardless.
Any advice or opinions will be much appreciated.

So, that makes my iPhone 6 Plus, my girls iPhone 6 and my fathers iPhone 5S not flashing LED on messages and sometimes calls. There aren't any custom vibrations enabled on any if the devices. Has anyone else experienced this problem? Is it a known bug or am I just not doing something right here? i never had an issue before the iOS 8 release. Any help would be appreciated.

My front iPhone 4 camera is not working. I know for sure its and hardware issue. I I take it to an Apple store, what info will they ask me for, once they find out its an hardware issue. Is it going to be a free replacement? I read previous question and they said they got free replacements, I want to know what information does apple ask for?

Front camera not working

Hi, I was wondering if anyone else has had the same problem as myself in regards to the front camera not working. All I seem to get is a black screen! I'm not sure if I need to activate it somehow or it's just not working? Thanks Ross

UPDATE: After the intial Factory Data Reset, the camera work fine for one day. Now it's back to the same blank screen in the front camera. Also now my video camera isn't working either. I get an error msg "Recording in progress in another app. Cannot record". I know some folks were having issues with the "OK Google" app. I checked mine and all is unchecked. Spent most of the day talking with Sony and Verizon and neither was able to help me other than Verizon offered a refurbed phone. No thank you, my phone is new. **bleep** Sony? If anyone can help, it would be greatly appreciated.

Back when the ios 6 updates were coming out in 2013 my iPhone 4 back camera stopped working, after trying way too many ways to reset the phone and finding others with this same issue I decided to start over I bought a new iPhone 4s so this one was better and 32gb instead of 16gb and it was 9 days later the back camera stopped working on my NEW iphone and still doesn't work to this day? What on earth should I do? How can this be fixed? I've tried hard reset, backing up the new phone, all the tricks I've tried on both phones do not work!!

A new phone has a warranty. So take it to an Apple store. If they can't fix it, they will replace the phone. Or do you mean: it stopped working after 9 days, but then you waited until the warranty ran out and then ask us?

Ive had my ipod for at least 3-4 months now, and just today my front camera stopped working! I go to my camera app, (the built in one) and it defaults to the back camera. when I tap the little switch icon, I get a blurry, and sometimes black, screen. as if the shutter isnt opening. I have updated the ios software and shut down the ipod multiple times. I really dont want to reset the ipod because it will delete my apps.

Ipad mini Retina (iOS 7.1.1) front camera not working

I had just noticed that my front facing camera doesn't work on my iPad mini retina. Both it and my iPhone 5S are running the latest of iOS. My iPhone works but not my ipad. Anybody run into the same issue. About to go down to the apple store and get it figured out. Already did a refresh on the ipad, refresh from backup. Help?

If the camera on your iPad is not functioning correctly I would suggest following the steps in this article relating to the camera. Note that the article is primarily about iPhones but the camera troubleshooting steps are the same for the iPad -

Specifically -
Camera isn't functioning or has undesired image quality
If the screen shows a closed lens or black image, force quit the Camera app.
If you do not see the Camera app on the Home screen, try searching for it in Spotlight. If the camera does not show up in the search, check to make sure that Restrictions are not turned on by tappingSettings > General > Restrictions.
Ensure the camera lens is clean and free from any obstructions. Use a microfiber polishing cloth to clean the lens.
Cases can interfere with the camera and the flash. Try gently cleaning the lens with a clean dry cloth or removing the case if you see image or color-quality issues with photos.
Try turning iPhone off and then back on.
Tap to focus the camera on the subject. The image may pulse or briefly go in and out of focus as it adjusts.
Try to remain steady while focusing:
Still images: Remain steady while taking the picture. If you move too far in any direction, the camera automatically refocuses to the center.
Note: If you take a picture with iPhone turned sideways, it is automatically saved in landscape orientation.
Video: Adjust focus before you begin recording. You can also tap to readjust focus while recording. Exiting the Camera application while recording will stop recording and will save the video to the Camera Roll.
Note: Video-recording features are not available on original iPhone or iPhone 3G.
If your iPhone has a front and rear camera, try switching between them to verify if the issue persists on both.

I Got this ipod and its been working great! But all of a sudden the front camera isn't working. I rest it and I rest the settings and its still not working. I really don't understand why it's not working when it was working just fine yesterday. I didn't mess with any of the settings at all its just not working and I don't know why. Can someone help me with this?

Why does my iPod 4g front camera not work?

I have an iPod 4g for over a year now. The front camera no longer works. Whenever I click the button to switch it to the front camera, the last image from the rear camera just freezes. I have tried restarting my iPod and even resetting it. It still doesn't work. I don't have the warranty on it anymore either. Please help! Also, if there is no solution to this, can I go to an Apple store and get it fixed? Do I have to go to an Apple store only? How much would it cost to get fixed? Thank you.

NEW iPhone 5S back camera not working? Rattling noise heard when phone is shaken?

I just got a gold iPhone 5s today as a free upgrade to my white iPhone 4. I did the iCloud transfer thingy, but deleted the pictures after transferring everything. I didn't check this before the transfer, but the back camera doesn't work in snapchat and the camera app. I tried switching to the front camera in the camera app and it worked. However, the rear camera STILL doesn't work. The only thing is a black screen. I tried pressing the camera button to take a picture... nothing. I even restarted the phone (by holding the home and power buttons) I tried shaking the phone and pressing in the camera. When I shake it, all I hear is something small moving near the top of the phone. What should I do????

I have the same problem and I've tried everything!!! There are sooo many people with this same problem but Apple can't help anyone that isn't under warranty anymore!!! This is a big problem for many people that Apple should recognize and offer replacements or solutions for. It's only after the update that my camera stopped working (and this is also true for many other ipod touch users). This issue is obviously caused by Apple either making faulty hardware, software, or both. I really hope that they will resolve this issue soon because it is not fair for those who are no longer covered by the warranty.
