IPhone 6 Plus goes into huge zoom

For no reason, twice now, my icons on IPhone 6 Plus go into incredible zoom mode, and I cannot even shut it off, or power down.  There is no way to get to the settings.  right now, I cannot use my phone!
Is this an IOS 8.2 problem or should I return the darn 'SUPER DUPER" phone to AT&T for exchange??  So frustrating.  I should have stayed with IPhone 5 until all of these bugs were worked out!!!
You can reply here or to my personal email: [email protected]  PLEASE HELP!  I cannot go another day without my phone - it's my ONLY phone!

the user making the 3 finger zoom and having problems getting back is not new it's been there for ages

odd that apple have not removed the feature as most seem to see it as a bug

  • My iphone keeps going into a huge text or zoom mode, how do I get it back to normal?

I have an iPhone 5S and just upgraded to Yosemite, apparently a big mistake after reading a lot of support items.
My phone keeps going into a zoom or huge text mode and I cannot get it back to normal.  I also have an iPad that I send and receive messages on so not sure if that is causing a problem, it never was a problem before this upgrade.

OS X Yosemite is for Macs, not iPhones. Perhaps you meant iOS 8.
Try tapping twice on the screen with three fingers.
And/or go to Settings > General > Accessibility > Zoom OFF.
It has been this way since iOS 5.

i have a screen with the apple logo on it and a bar underneath it. it has been this way for about an hour now. what does this mean and is there a way to reset the iphone without going into the store? it isnt showing in my computer or on the itunes page.

    Try:
    - iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
    - If not successful and you can't fully turn the iPod fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
    - If still not successful that indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

Looks like it is a software bug. Happened to me too. I did turn zoom on many days earlier just to see how it works. Then suddenly many days later it went into super giant font mode and I could not get back to accessibility mode - thans Stedman for the double tapping with 3 fingers (I had tried that several times and it did not seem to work on the main menu, but it did finally work on the general setting menu).
I guess the answer is to just not use the zoom feature

  • When trying to restore my Iphone it goes into recovery mode

I recent just upgraded my IPhone 4s to 5s.  When I synced it to my computer it transfered eveything from my old phone to the new one which I didn't want.  So when I tried to restore it to factory settings it went to recovery mode.  I can get it out of recovery mode but it just goes back to way it was.  How can I restore it with out going into recovery mode.

we have same problem bro .. i dont know what to do.

  • IPhone 3G goes into Recovery Mode after every restore

Every time I restore my iPhone 3G, it goes into recovery mode right after an error-less restore has been completed. Yes, I've tried using tools such as TinyUmbrella and RecBoot and iRecovery. The device was not jailbroken when I tried to update it to 4.2.1 yesterday. They all reboot the phone and just throw it back into recovery. I have no idea what to do. Searching is futile. I thought I might as well do what I almost never do and ask these communities for support.
    I hope they don't disappoint.

I had this problem with my wife's iPad when I updated to 7.0.3 via OTA. It was easily fixed for me, and I assume it should work for everyone else.
It appears that sometimes during installation of the OTA update to 7.0.3, it gets stuck in recovery half way through.
You can connect it to iTunes and restore it, which will wipe it, OR you can download TinyUmbrella and kick it out of recovery. Once you do that, the installer should complete normally (it did for me).
    1) Download and install TinyUmbrella for your PC/Mac.
    2) Make sure iTunes isn't running and connect your device via USB.
    3) Open up TinyUmbrella. Your device should show up on the left. Click on it and then choose "exit recovery".
    4) Profit.

  • HT1414 iphone 4 goes into recovery mode error 40

iphone 4 keeps going into recovery mode, when try to restore the iphone it comes up with error code (40), how can this be fixed?

    Hi November-Rain,
I found the following information about error code 40:
    Error 20, 21, 23, 26, 28, 29, 34, 36, 37, 40
These errors typically occur when security software interferes with the restore and update process. FollowTroubleshooting security software issues to resolve this issue. In rare cases, these errors may be a hardware issue. If the errors persist on another computer, the device may need service.
Also, check your hosts file to verify that it's not blocking iTunes from communicating with the update server. See iTunes: Advanced iTunes Store troubleshooting—follow steps under the heading Blocked by configuration (Mac OS X / Windows) > Rebuild network information > Mac OS X > The hosts file may also be blocking the iTunes Store. If you have software used to perform unauthorized modifications to the iOS device, uninstall this software prior to editing the hosts file to prevent that software from automatically modifying the hosts file again on restart.

  • IPhone 4 goes into recovery mode on its own?

I have an iPhone four for Xmas and its working fine it just goes into recovery mode on rs own as luckily it can be restarted without connecting to iTunes, it's just really annoying having to do this every 2 minutes, anyone know what I can do?

Basics from the user guide are restart, reset, restore from backup, restore as new device.  Have you gone through any, if not ALL these steps?

  • IPhone 5 going into recovery mode

My iphone has been continously shutting off and going into recovery mode. I sometimes can get lucky and turn it back on, but my phone will randomly freeze and turn off again. I have just restored my phone this morning, and minutes after I got it up and running it shut off again. Sometimes the apple logo appears and just fades to black. I have not jailbroken or tampered with this phone in any way. It has also not been dropped. It is still under warranty, so I am thinking about replacing it. Any suggestions? Is there a known cause for this problem? Thanks.

When you restored it did your restore from a back up? Try restoring it to factory settings! If the issue/problem was in the software it could be in the backup and when you restore and put the back up on the phone you are just putting the problem right back on....

  • Iphone 3gs goes into recovery by itself

i recently updated software on iphone 3gs, since doig so it has been going into recovery mode by itself, tried to restore it through itunes, restore would not complete due to an error, now i cant use the phone at all, i have followed the troubleshooting to no avail, can anybody give me some advice please

Google the software RecBoot and iRecovery - one of those may be able to help you kick the phone out of recovery mode. Be warned though that there are no guarantees - your phone, your responsibility! But if it's not working now, it may be worth a try.

What do you mean by this sentence exactly.....top off?
    Any ideas?
I would post in the MacBook Pro late 2008, 2009 usage forum. Might be hardware related and they know your Mac best.
If you have one earlier then that, post in the Original MacBook Pro usage forum. In the meantime try a SMC reset again as it controls sleep, wake, shutdown and more.
