IPhone 6 Plus no bluetooth connection to iMac or Bose Wave, IOS 8.1 last Version is installed

After update to IOS 8.1 on iPhone 6 Plus and 5s I get no connection to my Bose Wave System or my iMac.
When I start Bluetooth on iMac and iPhone I get the connection Number on both side. After pushing the connection button I get on the iMac the message "connected" for 5 to 10 seconds. On the iPhone "No connection". I test it 10 times with the same result.
What can I do? Wait to the next IOS-Update?

You can only connect your iphone to a Mac if you're using tethering.

  • Can not connect Macbook Pro to IPhone 6 Plus via bluetooth.

I have a MacBook pro late 2011 with Yosemite 10.10.1 and bluetooth ver. 2.1 EDR. I can not connect my IPhone 6 Plus Ver. 8.1 via bluetooth.  I can see the the iPhone 6 on my MacBook and MacBook on IPhone 6, and can select connect but the iPhone 6 has error message MacBook Pro is not supported.  I am guessing that the issue is with the bluetooth versions, but not sure.  Any idea would be greatly appreciated.

And what is it you want to accomplish?   iPhones cannot pair with Computers  (Mac or Pc).
If you want to use features such as Continuity, or Handoff, pairing is not necessary.  However you would need a newer MacBook for those features.
iPhones can pair with speakers, keyboards, headsets, hands free devices, in car media centers etc...
But there's no profile for connecting to a computer directly.

That's because you can't connect to other apple devices unless your tethering.  iOS: Understanding Personal Hotspot - Apple Support

  • Bluetooth Connection to iMac

Is it possible to connect with iMac through bluetooth with iPhone 3G and import or export data?

    In a word, no.
The data that can be transferred to the iPhone is done via the iTunes sync process. I believe there are some 3rd party applications/utilities via the iTunes App Store that allow for data transfer via other means but not via Bluetooth, which is slow compared to data transfer via wi-fi or USB 2.0.

  • IPhone 6 Plus won't connect to 2.4ghz networks but can see them

I just got an iPhone 6 plus that won't connect to any 2.4ghz networks. It will either say wrong password or unable to connect.
On my home network I had to change the band to 5ghz to be able to use my wifi and not all of my home devices are compatible.
Places that I went to test wifi:
    McDonald's
    Starbucks
    Local Sports bar
    Friends house
Does anyone know a fix? I tried resetting the phone, resetting network settings numerous times, turning off wifi networking in the privacy settings. Nothing seems to work and I am super frustrated. Can someone help?

I have tried replacing the phone, updating router firmware, running namebench to find fastest DNS, multiple reboots of phone and router, nothing helps.  5GHz band works like a charm but it doesn't penetrate to all rooms of the house.  One guy said problem was solved by running beta version of iOS 8.2 but I don't know how to download it.  Any success?

  • IPhone 6 plus unable to connect

I've tried restarting my device, uninstalling / reinstalling, third party keyboard, and waited 45 minutes for a Skype chat but the representative hasn't messaged back. Any suggestions would be much appreciated. Thanks.

I had the same issue issue with a brand new iPhone 6 Plus 128GB.
I tried to fix the issue by restoring the iPhone via iTunes and the problem was still present (without restoring from a backup).
I followed the below steps to resolve the issue:
    1. Log out of iCloud
    2. Go to Settings>General>Reset>Erase All Content and Settings
    3. Wait for the iPhone to restart
    4. Set up the iPhone without an iCloud account or logging into the App/iTunes Store
    5. Once set up open the App Store & iTunes Store to confirm you can connect
    6. If this has resolved the issue, open Settings and sign into the App Store and iCloud to finish the setup process.

  • How do I resynchronize my iPhone and MacBook Pro bluetooth connection?

I accidentally had my iPhone "forget" my MacBook Pro bluetooth connection, and I need it to reappear to resynchronize. My iPhone shows up as discoverable on my MacBook Pro, but it is not connected. When I have my bluetooth on on my iPhone 4S, the MBP doesn't appear in the list of my bluetooth devices.

You can sync using iTunes  >   iOS: Syncing your data with iTunes  (via USB)
Or wirelessly using iCloud >  Apple - iCloud - All your content on all your devices.

  • Iphone 6 plus will not connect to itunes through my computer

Got the new Iphone 6 Plus and for some reason when I plug into computer (which should normally automatically start up iTunes) it does not!!!  Can anyone help me in setting this up.   I played around with it for some time, and it will opened up and I did manage to back up and sync the iphone 6+ & computer.  But it will not do it again.  I have the latest ITunes and have done a restart.  Any help out there???  Thanks

There might be reasons to use both methods:
Use iCloud and iTunes Backup together
For an extra level of backup for your data, you can use iCloud Backup and iTunes Backup together.
Using iCloud Backup doesn't disable iTunes Backup completely; it just turns off Automatic Backups via iTunes. You can trigger a manual iTunes Backup whenever you want to create a new one.
If you're using iCloud and iTunes Backup together and you want to speed up your iCloud Backup and restore, you can save iCloud storage by turning off iCloud Backup for very large data types. For example, in iOS 8 with iCloud Photo Library beta turned off (or in an earlier version of iOS), if you have a 15 GB photo library on your iPhone, you might not wish to back it up to iCloud because it's already being manually backed up to iTunes.

  • Using iphone as a wireless router connected to imac??

Silly question here, Okay is there a way to use the AT&T Edge network, via my iphone as my conduit to the internet, Yeah, i know its slow, but if I cancelled my DSL, that would pay for my monthly plan. In other words Plugging in my iphone to my imac not to sync, but as a satelite- Wifi internet receiver????

  • Iphone 6 plus (verizon) wont connect to gmail

Since upgrading form an iPhone 5 to the 6 plus i cannot get my phone to connect to gmail in the apple mail app. It adds the account after a long time and then shows the account added. Though it shows calender, notes, email and contacts as synced nothing actually shows up where its supposed to. When i go into the e-mail app and drag it down to load the ring just spins both on the app and in the status bar on the top of the screen and nothing happens. I have tried deleting and re adding the account and resetting the network settings., still nothing. As of now i just started using the dedicated gmail app but I would like to have this work.
    Thank you for any he

KiltedTim is correct, it doesn't involve Bluetooth pairing.
And also, many are confusing the Phone call feature with HandOff. They're different features.
HandOff uses and requires Bluetooth 4 ability on all devices.
The phone thing just requires connection to the same Wifi network and works with any iOS 8 device and any Mac running Yosemite.

  • Aluminum Cordless Keyboard Loses Bluetooth Connectivity to iMac 24" 2.4ghz

I sent my keyboard that came with my iMac back to  for a replacement it was a
cordless Aluminum Keyboard it would lose it's connection with my iMac's BT
or did the iMac lose it's Bluetooth ?
I now have a new keyboard same type cordless Aluminum and it's doing the
same thing I will go to the BT Menu Bar and it says
no BT items connected I've Zapped the P-ram
repaired permissions, unchecked for Bluetooth to wake
computer in Energy settings and I've read where a clean install
doesn't help. Has anyone figured this out as I don't believe this
started happening until the 10.5.2 update
_I have installed all updates and Firmware updates also._

I called  on 4.23.08 and they are saying
that my iMac 24" 2.4ghz may have a bad or
loose BT Connection inside of the iMac itself
they are sending me a USB Keyboard for my trouble
and they told me to take my iMac into a  Retailer
to have it checked out to see if indeed that my
iMac's BT chip is loose or is bad so that is the route
I'm going to take and I greatly appreciate all the help
and to answer about the Sharing Bluetooth hasn't been on
on this Mac ever so I know that isn't the problem
I threw the BT Preferences away but that didn't help either
hope we can find out what's going on..!
I will leave this discussion open until I take

  • Why iPad 2 and iPhone 4s won't Bluetooth connect to D200 Creative speaker?

My MacBook can connect fine using Lion, bit both iPad and iPhone running iOS 5.1.1 won't connect to the speaker device. I tried to reset and pair multiple times with no luck. Anyone else able to get this to work or possibly have the same problem?

I still have no WiFi nor do I have Bluetooth capabilities on my iPhone 4S. I Tried to do a system restore and it's exactly the same as before. Could Apple please expedite an update to solve this WiFi issue? Maybe go back to how you had the WiFi working in iOS7??? It's cutting into my limited data plan and I'd appreciate it if I could use the product I paid for and not feel like I'm being scammed out of it for lack of a better term.

  • Iphone 6 and tomtom bluetooth connection

On my iphone 5 before I updated to iOS 8 everything was fine, my phone was connecting to my satnav and I could use my mobile data for traffic update. Since I have the iOS8 I`m unable to connect the two device. Its connecting for couple of seconds and after its drops. Now I have the iPhone 6 and thought the problem will be solved as I heard that if I reset my phone, then it helps but not. The same thing happens. What can Ido???

You can only connect your iphone to a Mac if you're using tethering.

  • Video playback is always low quality on my iPhone 6 plus, even when connected to wifi

I Have Searched and couldn't find any answers. Everytime I play any video from any source the playback quality is terribly low. 240p would be my guess if not lower. It happens when connected to wifi or lte. It won't buffer to eventually stream in hd or 480p even. I've tried a restore, tried downloading a third party YouTube app and still no luck. The only succes that I've d is when streaming from twitch, I will get hd quality. Please help. Thanks!

I also happen to have T-Mobile, but the problem happened on WiFi as well as you mentioned and therefore didn't seem to be related to carrier.
I expect your videos are playing normally again like mine since yesterday morning. I guess it had something to do with the video codecs/standards being used by major video service providers like you thought, but I found it curious that so many different video sources beyond YouTube caused me the same problem during that time. I did find that Daily Motion worked fine when the other services weren't working, so I knew it had to be service (and what standards they were using) specific.
Still, how were there not tons and tons of other people experiencing this!? I had it happen on both my 6+ and my iPhone 4. Maybe there were other factors specific to my area/connection (outside of connection speed which was always fine) that resulted in it, but still...
