IPhone 6 randomly requesting iCloud login password

I just upgraded to an iPhone 6. In settings>iCloud I have entered my user/password and can see everything is ok. Randomly throughout the day my phone pops up with a box requesting me to enter my password for the icloud account. I have recycled on/off the iCloud account on the phone. The problem still persists.

The problem is solved: There is an article on a german website:
http://www.ifun.de/ios-8-1-fragt-staendig-nach-icloud-login-moeglicherweise-ist- ein-grossbuchstabe-schuld-69316/
The problem is the naming of the iCloud/apple-id: You must use small letters. If You are using big letters like [email protected] then You will be asking every time for You iCloud-id password. Solve: logoff from your iCloud-Account on Your iPhone/iPad. Relogin with iCloud-ID with small letters only. Problem solved for me an many other people.

  • Constant requests for login password

Why as an Administrator on my Mac am I being ask constantly for logins? Messages wants a login, iTunes wants a login when i search my library, identityservicesd wants a login everyone wants my login password everytime I turn on my mac, what gives? PLease someone explain whats happening here

    Hi,
In normal circumstances the Login keychain is unlocked with the same Password that login you into to your Mac Use account.
If they are different you need to unlock the keychain for "everything" to gain access.
You can of course change the password of the keychain
Go to Applications/Utilities and open the Keychain Access App
Open the Preferences  and check the First Aid section.
See also the Edit Menu > Change Password  (you have to highlight  a particular keychain in the list).

Unfortunately, you cannot do very much with your phone unless you get assistance from the previous owner, they should either provide you with the password to unlock it or remove their account from the phone entirely remotely through iCloud.com > Find My Phone.

  • Random requests for iTunes password

My iPhone 3G has suddenly started asking for my iTunes password at random. I have the latest version of the OS installed and am not aware that I have changed any settings. I have cancelled these requests in the off chance they are the result of some sort of virus (yes, I know iPhones never get viruses, but...)
Has anyone else had this problem and, if so, do you know what is causing it.

Hi, i had the same problem after with my iphone 2g after i updated it. What worked for me was just going to settings>store and signing out of my account and then back in again. Haven't had the problem since but don't know if this will work for anyone else or if i was just lucky!

My iPhone is requesting to sync with icloud, but it is using on old ID and password. How do I delete the old ID and password?

To change the iCloud ID you have to go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account, provide the password for the old ID when prompted to turn off Find My iPhone, then sign back in with the ID you wish to use.  If you don't know the password for your old ID, or if it isn't accepted, go to https://appleid.apple.com, click Manage my Apple ID and sign in with your current iCloud ID.  Click edit next to the primary email account, change it back to your old email address and save the change.  Then edit the name of the account to change it back to your old email address.  You can now use your current password to turn off Find My iPhone on your device, even though it prompts you for the password for your old account ID. Then save any photo stream photos that you wish to keep to your camera roll.  When finished go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account and choose Delete from My iDevice when prompted (your iCloud data will still be in iCloud).  Next, go back to https://appleid.apple.com and change your primary email address and iCloud ID name back to the way it was.  Now you can go to Settings>iCloud and sign in with your current iCloud ID and password.

After changing my e-mail address, two iCloud accounts were created, my iphone is unusable due to password requests every few seconds and my iCloud account has been blocked. What can I do?

So, you are saying that you set up a brand new Apple ID and then signed into iCloud with it, correct?
Are you also saying both accounts are disabled for Security reasons? If not, why can't you sign on with the one that is not disabled?

  • How to stop iPhone 4 from continually requesting iCloud password, when plugged in?

Yes, how do I stop iPhone 4, iOS 7.1, Verizon carrier, from requesting iCloud password continually, when plugged in? It has done this with other updates. How do I make it stop, please?

Turn phone off, then back on. Thank you, me, for finding that post. iPhone 6, please!

  • Keychain Login: Password Requests, Login=Pinwheel

I recently had to reset my apple ID and now upon restart, Claendar Agent, Messages Agent, com.apple.icloudhelper.xpc, mail and accountsd all request the keychain password.  Unfortunately, what I type does not seem correct.  When I open Keychain Access and attempt to login, I get a pinwheel...
Does anyone know what has changed that would cause these password requests and more importantly how to make them stop?

Please take these steps to resynchronize the iCloud keychain. Your keychain on iCloud and your other Apple devices won't be affected. Take Step 2 only if Step 1 doesn't solve the problem.
    Step 1
    Back up all data.
Open the iCloud preference pane and uncheck the Keychain box. You'll be prompted to delete the local iCloud keychain. Confirm—the data will remain on the servers. Then re-check the box. Follow one of the procedures described in this support article to set up iCloud Keychain on an additional device. Test.
    Step 2
If you still have problems, uncheck the Keychain box again and continue.
Triple-click the line below on this page to select it, then copy the text to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination  command-C:
    ~/Library/Keychains
    In the Finder, select
              Go ▹ Go to Folder...
from the menu bar and paste into the box that opens by pressing command-V. You won't see what you pasted because a line break is included. Press return.
A folder named "Keychains" should open. Inside it is a subfolder with a long name similar to (but not the same as) this:
               421DE5CA-D745-3AC1-91B0-CE5FC0ABA128
The above is only an example; yours will have a different name of the same general form. Drag the subfolder (not the Keychains folder) to the Trash and empty.
Restart the computer and re-enable iCloud Keychain.

  • Changed my APPLE ID - iCloud login failed on iphone - login data cannot be updated!

Dear manufacturers and users of APPLE's hipster devices,
I just changed my APPLE Id & created a new password.
To do that, I've been using my Desktop PC with a standard browser and the official login to the APPLE Id management website: appleid.apple.com ::: I added a new E-Mail Address and registered it as my new APPLE ID. Then I deleted the old obsolete E-Mail Address that has been my my OLD APPLE ID. Now I have a new APPLE ID.
Afterwards, I received an error message on my iPhone.
iCloud cannot log me in anymore, because the iCloud App stubbornly tries to log me in with my OLD APPLE Id.
What made matters even worse is that the login window doesn't allow me to enter my new APPLE ID.
Even after I changed my APPLE ID login data on my iPhone (ignoring lots of annoying iCloud error messages) iCloud could NOT log me in anymore.
"Verbindung zum Server fehlgeschlagen"  [/ "Server Connection failed"]
    What's happening?
Why can't the APPLE ID server simply notify the iCloud APP, about an updated APPLE ID whenever the App is trying to login with obsolete data?
Why cant I simply change my iCLOUD LOGIN DATA in the iCloud settings ??
    NO... It doesn't work_ :
The topic with "ICLOUD / Account" contains my old APPLE ID, is displayed grey and canNOT be modified.
    WHY?
    please... support. !
Do I have to reset my iPhone whenever I change my APPLE Id?! :::
I even tried to DELETE my malfunctioning iCloud Account now.
    NO LUCK.
I have to login to delete the existing iCloud Account... What an irony: My OLD login ID doesn't exist anymore. (as I already explained above.) >.<
... again the question comes to mind:::
Do I have to reset my iPhone whenever I change my APPLE Id on anohter device?! :::
    Is there a solution?
& NO: I CANNOT EVEN CHANGE MY APPLE ID back to the former (obsolete) E-Mail Address that is still registered in my iPhone and obviously cannot be modified in any available settings. (The iCloud App doesn't seem to be informed... even after I modified my APPLE ID login data in my iPhone settings... as I also explained above...)
Who programmed iOS/ who developed the iCloud App?! Can't You guys have a talk and properly integrate Your login procedures..?
    ... help! pls.!

    >> click Manage my Apple ID and sign in with your current iCloud ID.  Click edit next to the primary email account, change it back to your old email address and save the change. <<
okay... I'm gonna try to *edit next to the primary email account* ... Does it have to be exactly that entry and if so - why not any?
Why can't I simply re-add and confirm my old E-Mail Address and register that new/old entry as my new/old login for APPLE ID?
    I tried that:...I get this:
Just to sum up my problem again for anyone who might have the same or simlar issues:
    In short:
All I did was register a new E-Mail Address as my new APPLE ID (on the apple ID management website).
Now nothing works anymore on my iPhone.
1.) I cannot log in on iCloud.
2.) An annoying iCloud login error message pops up every 3-4 seconds.
3.) I cannot modify the login data in the iCloud settings. (nope: the entry is displayed grey in the settings and cannot be modified... if that would simply work, I wouldn't need any support.)
4.) Even after I properly entered the new data in the APPLE ID login settings on the iPhone -- iCloud cannot log me in and annoys me with error messages.
5.) I cannot even delete the iCould account, because I'd have to properly log in to be able to delete it. (I cannot do that, as I explained above.)
6.) AND I CANNOT change my APPLE ID back to my former E-Mail Address: It simply doesn't work (yet?)... When I try to enter my formerly used (and newly registered) E-Mail Address a message appears: "APPLE ID must O NOT ALREADY BE IN USE!" (marked red... see screenshot above!)
7.) This is weird and confusing... and I honestly believe You have to have a talk with your developers team!
Something is wrong on behalf of Your program behavior... not only in the iCloud App, but obviously also on Your APPLE ID management website!
(I don't wanna sound arrogant... I'm happy You replied so fast, but I think You should do something about the problems I described. Even if Your workaround helps! There's clearly something in wrong in the procedures of Your software.)

  • How Do I Use Multiple iCloud logins With find my iPhone?

With iOS 6, I was able to link Find My iPhone accounts across multiple devices. Now, with iOS 7, it appears that I can now only keep track of devices that share the same icloud login.
Talk about a downgrade. I regularly use my phone to find my wife's iPad or my son's iPhone. Or should I say, I used to. Now I can only find the phone I'm using.
    Awesome.

Here here!  it seems to me that Apple is looking to get people to have one major iCloud account and force families to buy additional storage..  WIth 7 devices (and thousands of $$$ in devices) I couldn't possibly use one account at 5 gb for back up, 10 GB would be a stretch between my wife and I between our combined 4 devices.  Why would I spend this kind of money again to put my kids in idevices when the BEST security device just got castrated?  Really disappointing.

You cannot delete the iCloud account that is signed on to Find My iPhone unless you know the password. This is called the Activation Lock:
    ACTIVATION LOCK
It is an anti-theft security measure that is a part of iOS 7. You can only get around this by following the steps in this support article:
Find My iPhone Activation Lock: Removing a device from a previous owner’s account
Contact your friend. This is the only way around the lock.
    Best of luck,

  • I have changed my Apple-ID to a new mail-adress. But I have not managed to change the adress in iCloud in my iPhone. The iPhone just asks for my password to the old Apple-Id.

    Hi!
I have changed my Apple-ID to a new mailadress. But I have not been able to change the iCloud-adress in my iPhone. The iPhone just asks for my password to the old Apple-ID.  Can anyone help?

If the old ID is yours, and if your new ID was created by editing the details of this old ID (rather than being an entirely new ID), go to https://appleid.apple.com, click Manage my Apple ID and sign in with your current iCloud ID.  Click edit next to the primary email account, change it back to your old email address and save the change.  Then edit the name of the account to change it back to your old email address.  You can now use your current password to turn off Find My iDevice, even though it prompts you for the password for your old account ID.
