IPhone 6 rebooting randomly

My iPhone 6 (16GB) has recently started rebooting on it's own. Screen will turn blue (or red) then go black with Apple logo. Reboots. Sometimes it will go through this again when I swipe to unlock.

UUsually think bad app as first trouble shooting step.  look at any new apps installed AND any apps automatically updated just prior to this probeen starting.   Start removing these apps until you find the one.

  • IPhone 4 randomly restating after updating to iOS 6.0.1

When I updated to iOS 6.0.1, from iOS 6.0, my iPhone 4 started to reboot randomly. I have tried a restore, and I am not willing to start as a new iPhone either. It doesn't reboot often, just randomly, and when it does it takes 5-10 seconds to restart. It's not annoying, but it is a problem. iOS 6 worked perfectly for me, and I regret updating to iOS 6.0.1. I am on Verizon, if that matters.

Restore the phone as new, and you will have to redownload your apps back to the phone and put your other content back in. As of right now you have nothing so, you have nothing to lose.

I stand corrected. The code is still not deferred. I am still curios to find out why. The reason i am asking that is most likely you are hitting a bug which. The bug fix will be on different code and if you are upgrading then might as well upgrade to a more recent code train.

  • Iphone has randomly been bricking

For some reason my iphone on random occasions produces a black screen almost like the phone has been locked excpet no buttons work and the only way to reboot it to plug the phone into a power source. Another odd thing the phone does sometimes when it gets into brick mode is I plug it in to the power the phone doesnt even reboot the screen just flashes white and comes back to where I was such as the homescreen without a reboot. I have tried a full restore and it seemed to have helped for awhile but then the issue reoccurred. Does any know if this is a common issue and if its due to hardware or software?

Was the phone ever back up to iCloud?

  • RV042 rebooting randomly

I installed an RV042 on my network two months ago. It's been working fine until yesterday. It's configured Dual WAN, connected to Comcast cable and AT&T DSL with load balancing turned on. Like I said, until yesterday - everything has been perfect.
Today, the router has started rebooting randomly. All the lights except for Power and Diag go out, and the router resets. The network, of course, has crashed by this point.
In the system log, there is no error message. Just suddenly "System is up!" followed by the cable dhcp connection and the pppoe connect spam. Odd thing is, the DATE is wrong at that point. It shows Dec 31 2002 19:00 as the timestamp, every time it crashes.
This is a relatively new router, it's sitting out on a desk with lots of air space all around it, and it doesn't feel hot to the touch at all. It's plugged in to a battery backup. The router has the latest firmware.
What should I do now? This is ugly, when it happens. Overnight last night, it rebooted four times.

  • E50 Rebooting randomly

    Hi All
I have a Nokia E50 which reboots randomly after a upgraded to the V06.41.3.0 software, has anybody else seen this problem and what to do about it?
i seem a bit like it is mostly rebooting when the battery is showing only two "lines"! However i have not tested this to an extend that i can be sure that it is related

  • IOS7 Rebooting Randomly

Anyone else having issues with iOS7 rebooting randomly? I loaded yesterday (9/18), other than downloading/install issues that have been reported, have been fairly satisfied, however, today I have noticed quite a bit of random rebooting while it sits on my desk in front of me. If this happens while I am taking a call, I will be quite annoyed! AT&T iPhone 5 32GB iOS 7.0 (11A465)

My iPhone 3Gs randomly shutting off at any given moment. I could be in the middle of a text, a call, or doing some games and it'll just shut off.
Now here's the unique part. When I go to turn it back on, the apple loading screen pops up but it takes somewhere from 3-5 minutes for it to boot up. Then the lock screen with the time and whatnot shows up. From this point on, my iPhone has a chance to shut itself back down and I have to repeat the process over and over again. Most of the time the lock screen flashes and then goes straight to black (shut down) but sometimes I can make it a few menus before it shuts itself down.
The only way to keep the iPhone on is to plug it into a charger of any sort. I'm fairly certain it isn't a battery charge issue because this happens at any % of power and sometimes my iPhone can use up all of its charge and not have this happen while other times I can be at 90-100% and it could randomly shut itself down. What can I do in this situation if some has some solution to this problem please let me know on [email protected] Thanks!

Not sure if this Term is Relevant towards an iPhone but, my iPhone won't Post unless if it's plugged into a Charger.

  • OS X 10.9.2 on Mac Mini 2012 reboots randomly

Hi everybody, I have a Mac Mini 2012 2.3ghz model. I bought with Mountain Lion and everything was very very good. I updated to Mavericks from ML and, a little bit slow, but, I knew it, I needed update since zero. So, I did it, and, since that day, I have a lot of reboots randomly. One day, I had as 4 or 5 reboots in 2 or 3 hours. I mean, ***!!!. Sometimes that passed when I close Safari with a lot of tabs. Sometimes when I eject an USB or HDD. It's so randomly.
I've done repair permissions and pass it Ccleaner. The Mac is still rebooting. I have the last report. I hope you can help me. Thank you very much!.

My iphone 3gs is acting weird, every time i get a call or if i try and call some one my iphone gets random black lines down it) so what can I do to fix it?

    Try:
    - Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
    - Restore from backup
    - Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
    - Make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store.

    Hi galathil,
I'm sorry to hear that you are having issues with your newly purchased ZTE Open C device from France, and that it reboots randomly.
In order to better understand and investigate on the issue that you are encountering, please reply to this message with the following information:
    * What is the OS version and Build ID found in the Device Information page? Please visit [http://mzl.la/Gzz6Kp this link] if you need help finding the Build ID of your phone.
    * Please provide the exact steps to reproduce the issue you are encountering.
Please be sure to include as much detail as possible, including any websites that may exhibit this issue, and any error messages that you may be receiving, exactly as they appear. This will ensure that we will have all the information needed to investigate into this.

  • My iPhone 4s randomly shut off last night and won't come back on. what do i do?

My iPhone 4s randomly turned off last night and it won't come back on.  It shut off with plenty of battery life last night, but just in case, I've had it plugged into the charger all night. Still nothing has happened. Any advice?

hold down the home/sleep button together until you see the apple logo and then release.

  • IPhone reboots 90% of the time when I sync it to a Mac

For the past month or two, most of the time when I sync my iPhone, the iPhone reboots and then it syncs. It syncs successfully and the info (calendar items, etc.) seem to sync in both directions despite the rebooting. But I think I am losing song ratings and audiobook/podcast bookmarks when this happens. Has anyone else been experiencing this? I think it may have started with either an upgrade to Leopard or the upgrade to firmware 1.1.3. But I can't be sure.

    Hello japhy,
I am having the same problem with my iphone. I am runing 10.4.11, and I think this started to occure after upgrading to iTunes 7.6. I will get home from work and doc my iPhone. I press SYNC on iTunes and it says "Backing up iPhone".... and that runs for about 2 or more minutes. Then the phone just reboots. After I let it come back up again, I re-sync again; and iTunes backs up everything and syncs fine.
I have power cycled the phone, I have forced a re-boot, and I have backed up and restored a couple of times. I donno?
I hope that Apple can get this fixed.... I have lost some PIX and contacts because of this behavior.

Have you tried restoring the phone via iTunes?
Or have you taken it to an Apple store?
This is not normal behavior, so I don't think you can expect some kind of update from Apple that will fix it. If a restore fixes it, great, but you may need to take your phone to Apple (or send it to them) for service, as this could be something hardware-related.

  • HT201401 my iPhone 5 randomly switched itself when somebody was calling me and now won't turn on. it had 90% battery, I've tried factory reset, connecting to iTunes and nothing works. the phone is approx 18 months old so surprise surprise out of warranty.

My 5S just started doing this on Thursday: every fraction of a second or so it oscillates between connecting and disconnecting with the charger (USB or wall, doesn't matter). Since it's still under the limited warrantee, I took it to the local Mac dealer (I live in a small town w/out an Apple store) and they shipped it off. I'm waiting now for the replacement--telephonless, too!
What concerns me is that many people seem to be having this issue.
You were right to be suspicious of the Apple store employees. Once they replicated the behavior that you experienced, they should have immediatly offered to exchange your phone. Anything else, in my opinion, is unacceptable. As long as your phone is still doing it, I'd go back, ask for the manager and tell them to exchange your phone.
