IPhone 6 screen issue?

Has anyone had screen issues with iPhone 6... As far as the screen going black/dark? Mine will get black/dark on the left side only at least once a week. It slow dissipate away and go back to normal after about 3days.

Even showing where the screen was doing this prior to the cracked screen? I could see if I didn't have evidence of the screen going black prior to cracking it this morning. All because I was trying to get screaming toddler into daycare! But really? As long as we've been customers of Verizon, I am extremely disappointed in this service. I am going to talk with my husband about going to AT&T because this is absolutely ridiculous! We pay way more than we believe is far for our service and being such loyal customers and this is the service we receive. My husband was a customer of Alltel many, many years prior to Verizon taking over and if it wasn't for me he would have left a long time ago. I do believe it is time to switch providers. I will be sure to pass this email as well as making others whom have your service aware of how long term customers are treated. And I will talk them out of purchasing any of your products due to this. I have already talked my boss out of buying a 128gb iPhone 6 plus!  On top of the fact that we have NEVER EVER filed a claim for any of our products!!

  • Iphone Screen Issues

I've heard reports that people buying the Iphone lately have been having screen issues with them including issues with dark images similar to the Ipod touch. I want to buy an Iphone, so is there anything I can look for to make sure I get a good one?
Any help is appreciated. Thanks in advance.

When I am on a call and I bring the iPhone to my ear, the screen goes black. That is the proper operation of the iPhone. When I take the iPhone away from my face, the iPhone is supposed to detect that and turn the screen back on.
Are you saying your screen is not coming back on at all?
Try resetting your iPhone, or if not, restoring it. If that continues to happen, it may be time to contact Apple.

  • Help with iPhone screen issue?

Hey guys! I'm new here so sorry if I have messed up on anything in this post.
    Anyways!
I got a second hand iPhone 4s from one of my dad's mates atleast 6 months ago. As soon as I got the phone, I came across an issue it had. The issue was, 'shaking'. Basically, let me elaborate, the screen shakes, like the top of the screen where it says the time and battery charge, is also at the bottom, its almost as if everything moves up. When I go in settings, a tab like 'General' would be in a row of 3 above the original tab because it is shaking so quickly .However, this problem doesn't occur on everything. Apps (games) work fine, it's almost like applications that have a lot of words, and few colors on them get affected more. I have tried almost anything, the only way I can get it to stop shaking at all (slightly') is by turning on the setting 'Reduce White Point'. Hopefully it is not the GPU, and seeing as it does not affect games, I believe the GPU is fine. However, if anyone of you have seen, heard, or had this issue occur, and know how to fix this, or atleast stop the shaking, even if its just slightly, I would be greatly appreciated! Thankyou guys!

Did you try to reduce the screen motion in Reduce motion. Go to Settings > General > Accessibility, then turn on Reduce Motion.
If this does not help, and to make sure that this is not software related, set it back to factory settings, without using any backup data afterwards. Set up the rest of the personal settings manually and test the screen again.
If it still does that, this might be a hardware issue and the phone has to be serviced by Apple or an Authorized Apple Service Provider:

  • IPhone 4 - White 32GB Screen Issue

Hi. I don't know if I'm crazy or what but the white iPhones screen seems different to me than the black model. I used to own the black iPhone and the screen was flawless however on the white one I sometimes notice excessive sharpness on the keyboard. I compared the white one with the black model and the black models keyboard looks smother while the white one looks too sharp. To understand me better is like when you take a picture and try to sharpen it the image gets grany. Well that sometimes happenes with my phone. I changed it cuz I thought it was a defect but my second model also does that. Is this normal for this phone due to that the glass received a UV treatment?

The J means it's from Japan, I believe. There are 2 carriers in Japan Softbank and au. If you are not in Japan, the phone is useless to you. Niether one of them offers unlocking.

I have no idea what may have caused your MacBook to stop working, but from your description it kind of sounds like it may have started before you ran Software Update and installed the new Apps. Just the general slow feeling and bugginess is what tips me off. You said that you weren't sure if you had closed all open windows, that doesn't matter if the computer restarts itself. It automatically closes all other open applications when restarting.
As to your data being retrievable, if when you take it in they do a fresh install of the OS, then no, it will not be unless you want to pay several thousand dollars to a software retrieval company.
I am glad to hear that you have taken into the Apple Store to get it fixed, and that you have all of your purchased music backed up to your iPod. You should be able to just transfer it all back to iTunes once you get your computer back should it be necessary.
As a side note, the proper place for this topic would probably in the MacBook forums, not iTunes since there is no evidence that iTunes started the issue.

    Hi shahminan_bakar,
    Welcome to the Support Communities!
As a first step, I would suggest restarting and/or resetting the iPhone:
iOS: Turning off and on (restarting) and resetting
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1430
If you have tried those two things, refer to page 146 in the iPhone User Guide to Reset All Settings:
iPhone User Guide for iOS 7
    manuals.info.apple.com/MANUALS/1000/MA1565/en_US/iphone_user_guide.pdf
If these steps don't resolve your issue, you may need to backup and restore the device:

    Hope this helps ...

  • There are white squares on my screen at the top.  Apple care is telling me I'm out of warranty.  This seems like an Apple LCD screen issue.  The problem seems to be widespread.  How is apple dealing with this.  apple care told me it would cost me 260.00

Apple should be fixing this problem for free.  It is a hardware issue.  Check the Web.  A lot of your customers are having the same problem.  If I have to spend money to fix this I will be choosing a different cell phone provider

That the problem has happened to someone else, or even to a couple of dozen people, does not make it a "widespread problem". Apple has sold millions of iPhones, so even if hundreds have experienced the problem that's still a very small failure rate.
Your iPhone is out of warranty, so you will need to pay for service. If Apple finds this to be a screen issue, in many Apple Stores they can replace the screen for US $149. If it's not a screen issue or your local Apple Store can not yet replace the screen, then Apple replaces the entire iPhone. Those are their policies, and complaining about it, particular here in these user-to-user forums, will accomplish nothing.
You are free to pay some unauthorized shop to attempt repair, or attempt your own repair, if you wish, though you will void any further support from Apple, for any price, if you do.
There is nothing more anyone here can tell you.
    Regards.

  • My iphone screen went black

    my iphone screen went black

    Try these steps:
Will not turn on, will not turn on unless connected to power, or unexpected power off
Verify that the Sleep/Wake button functions. If it does not function, inspect it for signs of damage. If the button is damaged or is not functioning when pressed, seek service.
Check if a Liquid Contact Indicator (LCI) is activated or there are signs of corrosion. Learn about LCIsand corrosion.
Connect the iPhone to the iPhone's USB power adapter and let it charge for at least ten minutes.
After at least 30 minutes, if:
The home screen appears: The iPhone should be working. Update to the latest version of iOS if necessary. Continue charging it until it is completely charged and you see this battery icon in the upper-right corner of the screen . Then unplug the phone from power. If it immediately turns off, seek service.
The low-battery image appears, even after the phone has charged for at least 20 minutes: See "iPhone displays the low-battery image and is unresponsive" symptom in this article.
Something other than the Home screen or Low Battery image appears, continue with this article for further troubleshooting steps.
If the iPhone did not turn on, reset it while connected to the iPhone USB power adapter.
If the display turns on, go to step 4.
If the display remains black, go to next step.
Connect the iPhone to a computer and open iTunes. If iTunes recognizes the iPhone and indicates that it is in recovery mode, attempt to restore the iPhone. If the iPhone doesn't appear in iTunes or if you have difficulties in restoring the iPhone, see this article for further assistance.
If restoring the iPhone resolved the issue, go to step 4. If restoring the iPhone did not solve the issue, seek service.

iOS 7 will give errors on non Apple certified peripherals.  So make sure you only use Apple certified products. Did you backup the phone and then RESTORE AS NEW (not reset)? Try doing that by plugging the phone to iTunes on a computer. See if that helps. If it solves the problem, there could have been corrupted software on you phone. If not, it could be a hardware issue (including the battery), in which case you would need to go to a Apple Store or authorized service provider.

  • Why is the lower part of my iPhone screen unresponsive (certain apps only)?

I have an iPhone 3GS, just updated it to iOS 6 last week.
It has been working fine, but since yesterday the lower 1/10th of the screen (where the send button is for SMS, space bar and other key items) is unresponsive in certain apps.
For example, I can swipe to unlock the phone from the locked state and generally use the lower 1/10th of the screen, but when I try to use this area in Messages, Camera, emails and other key apps the lower 1/10th of the screen is unresponsive.  Nothing happens when I click action items.  In some apps (messages) it is only the lower left corner that doesn't work.
Has anyone had app specific unresponsiveness from their iPhone screen?
I restored the phone last night to no avail.

    Restart your device
Hold the On/Off button until "slide to power off" appears. Slide to power off your device. When it is off, press the On/Off button to turn it back on.
If you can't restart your device, reset it by pressing and holding the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for a least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
Clean the screen with a soft, slightly damp, lint-free cloth.
Avoid using the device while wearing gloves, with wet hands, or immediately after applying hand lotion.
If you have a protective case, or if you are using a plastic sheet or film on the display, try removing them and testing the device without it.
If the steps above don't resolve your issue, please schedule a service appointment with an Apple Retail Store for evaluation. If an Apple Retail store is not an option, contact Apple to find out your best service option or see theService FAQ for your product.

  • How to get past "could not activate iPhone" screen

Trying to wipe and start from scratch with an old iPhone 4 that I do not want to activate as a phone.  How do I get past the "could not activate iPhone" screen?  I did this once on my other old iPhone 4 and it worked without issue.

It's a Verizon/CDMA phone.  If it has a SIM, it's likely not activated and never has been.  Then again, same is likely true of my other iPhone.  "Likely" as in I have no recollection of ever asking Verizon to activate the SIM.
Again, I don't WANT to activate it.  I just want to use it like an iPod Touch.

  • IPhoto won't export cropped iPad and iPhone screen shots

I started a thread for this thinking it was affecting my whole iPhoto library, when I export a cropped image I get the original. I thought I'd solved it by rebuilding my library, then realized the issue was only manifesting with iPad screen shots. I tested it on iPhone screen shots too, same issue. Photos taken with any camera, even the iPad camera are fine, I can crop and export those. Any iOS screen shot refuses to export a cropped version. I tried all the different choices for "kind" in "export."
Is this a new feature? You have to be sure to crop a screen shot on the iPad or iPhone before you sync to iPhoto?
    Barbara
Mac mini 2011, Mavericks 10.9.2, iPhoto 9.5.1, iPad Air iOS 7.0.6, iPhone 5S iOS 7.0.6

What format is the external drive the Library sits on?
Rather than trying to move libraries try repair the existing one:
    Option 1
Back Up and try rebuild the library: hold down the command and option (or alt) keys while launching iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild. Choose to Repair Database. If that doesn't help, then try again, this time using Rebuild Database.
    If that fails:
    Option 2
Download iPhoto Library Manager and use its rebuild function. (In early versions of Library Manager it's the File -> Rebuild command. In later versions it's under the Library menu.)
This will create an entirely new library. It will then copy (or try to) your photos and all the associated metadata and versions to this new Library, and arrange it as close as it can to what you had in the damaged Library. It does this based on information it finds in the iPhoto sharing mechanism - but that means that things not shared won't be there, so no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your events, albums and keywords, faces and places back.
Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one.
