IPhone 6 serial number on main board ?
hello i was wondering if you could help me, i sold a iPhone 6 about a week ago on ebay and now the buyer wants to return the phone saying it no longer powers on, I've checked the feedback and it shows he's brought a few main boards for the iPhone 6 before hand
how do i check the main board is the correct one for the phone if apple haven't included a serial number on the main board and the phone is completely dead?
The iPhone 4,5,5s all had serial number stickers but cant find anything on this board

In that case only the previous owner can unlock it, either by providing you with the account ID and password, or by removing it from his list of devices (as he should have done before selling it) - please see http://support.apple.com/kb/ts4515
If you unable to contact him to do this then I'm afraid you will not be able to use the device - there is no other way of unlocking it at all.
You should if possible return it to wherever you bought it and ask for a refund as in this event the device is completely useless.

Possibility to change serial number of DAQ board
Hello,
In our company we need to build duplication of one measuring/adjusting station.
We already bought necessary hardware, unfortunately in the current application is probably some kind of protection :-(
When I replace in the PC current DAQ board (PCI-6052-E) to the new one then application stop running!
My thought, this application just check serial number of DAQ board! Is there any possibility to change serial number in the new board to the same value as is in the original card ???

Jan SrajerI would hope that you would still have access to the source code. If you do, I would recomend you delete that portion that relies on detecting a specific serial number or whatever other scheme might be in place. It seems rather non-sensical to do such a thing for an internal application, at least without providing for a method to add a new tester without re-compiling the application. I know of no way to modify the serial number of an NI DAQ board. You might also want to look for other methods of protection such as reading of the MAC address or hard drive serial number.

My t500 lost its Serial Number when the board was replaced
The main board of my T500 failed 2 months ago while under warranty. It went in to IBM for repair and was declined warranty coverage because of alleged liquid damage............I was very surprised by this diagnosis and asked for the evidence which was not provided....The caller from IBM said he was not the technician who did the inspection, so he could not discuss the findings. He was clear though that there would be no coverage. I was however offered a repair for about $900, but since the parts were not available at that time, the return could be 6 weeks or more. I was angry at this point and declined the repair. I found a remanufactured board from Malaysia and installed it myself..Total cost was $350 and 2 hours of my time. I still am trying to accept the rejection of warranty coverage....I looked very closely and found no evidence that the computer was inspected internally. When I replaced the board, there was definitely no liquid damage.....I cannot believe that IBM would do this to a customer who has purchased 5 IBMs over 10 years. The technicians likely saw the pealing paper under my T500 that I caused by using screen wipes to clean off the dust. This they must have extrapolated to make their diagnosis....I expected more. Since then, my T500 has fallen out of warranty....3 weeks now....The problem is, the new main board replacement caused the Serial Number to be lost from the registry (hardware) and replaced with a TP-6F......if I set it to the proper model number in the registry, It will participate in a software update once, then the registry resets to the TP-6F at reboot. I called IBM support and was told there was nothing that could be done as my warranty had run out. Any help would be appreciated as to a way to permanently reload the model and serial number in the bios as It cannot edited manually.

To feed Type/Model/Serial number etc. info. in the BIOS, a maintenance diskette is required, the access to which is only available to lenovo techs, business partners, and authorized service providers. Since you replaced the system board yourself, therefore I'm not certain if lenovo or it's service providers would help you on this...

I you say Connect to your computer and check it on your iTunes Sorry to say but I don't Have Any Valid Sim Card For my iPhone and the only thing I can see is my IMEI by pressing the Letter i when I open my iPhoneYou can't. You need a valid SIM to activate the phone.

I was reading on the internet that Apple just made an iPhone 5 battery replacement program and that I need to provide the serial number to see if my iPhone cualify for the replacement. So i went to the support page where i found the link to the replacement program and just need to put my iPhone serial number and see if it cualify something that i was sure it will because the one that were affected are the one that where bought between septermber 2012 (the month i bought it) and january 2013. When i click submit i got a message that says .
When i saw that "I already replaced the battery" I log in to my account on the support page and I didn't found my actual and only iPhone 5 i have registered in my products, BUT i have another iPhone 5 case open and 3 services to that iPhone 5 i don't know and its not mine. That iPhone have another very different serial number and when i check the services they have done are from an Apple Store in California and I from Puerto Rico.

Thanks in advance.It's possible that if they serviced your phone before, they replaced the entire unit making you ineligible for the battery replacement. Have you had your iPhone replaced thought Applecare recently?

Well, Apple does not connect an iPhone to a network, cellular service providers do that (it is their network afterall, not Apple's).
And yes, if restored as new, anyone can use an iPhone as they wish. If yours was stolen, you need to talk to the police about justice over it. -

The serial number is in Settings>About on the iPhone or on the back of the box it originally came with.
About the computer, you probably need to update the version of iTunes. What OS do you have on the computer? Is it a PC or a Mac?
