Iphone 6 shocking for no reason
I was using my phone as normal. I had went to go flip the sound switch on and it had given me ~second shock to the thumb and had made tiny cuts and drawn blood. I am fine but am wondering why this might have happened when there was no water on the phone and the charging cord was almost brand new.
it could be a software problem but it could as easy be a hardware defect
a restart would likely be 1 of 2 things
1 a software error that the ios operating system can't handle and it makes it restart to try and fix it rather then deleting everything in it's storage which in many ways would be a much worse way of trying to deal with an error
2. a hardware defect which result in 1 as the software try to do something which fail huge! because the hardware is broken not as much because the software is

So I have an iphone and for some reason I don't know the password for my Apple ID so I can't download apps and I don't have the password to my email to change it and I don't know the secret questions , what can I do to make a new Apple ID ?
I have the same problem - it is maddening. I rely on this iPad for work so this is not just an annoyance! The above solutions of changing the appleid on the device or on the website do not work.
The old email address no longer exists - I haven't used it in a year probably and I no longer have the account. I logged into the appleid website and there is no trace of the old email address so there is nothing that can be deleted or changed there. On the iPad there is no trace of the old email address so nothing can be deleted there either. I have updated the iPad software and the same problem comes right back. Every 2 seconds I am asked to log in using the old non-existent email. The device is currently useless.
The only recent change to anything was the addition of an Apple TV device, which was set up using the correct login and password.
Does anyone have any ideas? The iPad has been backed up to the iCloud so presumably it now won't recognize the current iCloud account? So restoring may notbe an option? -
Alright, I've had this problem for a while now, and I'm at my wit's end. Hope someone can help me.
First of all, I'm running Windows 8.0 on a Lenovo, using iTunes 11.1.5, and an iPhone on iOS 7.0.6.
Problem is, when I plug my iPhone 5 into my computer, the computer recognizes the iPhone, but for some reason, iTunes doesn't realize it's there. On top of that, every time I plug in, my phone gives me the same "Trust this computer?" prompt, like it doesnt recognize the computer I told it to trust 5 seconds ago. A couple times, I got lucky and iTunes dignified me with a "An iPhone has been detected, but could not be identified properly." prompt. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the mobile device driver, updating everything, uninstalling and reinstalling iTunes, resetting my iphone settings, but nothing works. I don't know what happened to my iphone but for some reason, siri is talking to me now and I have to tap everything 3 times inorder for my phone to do what I want it to do. How can I fix this problem?

I use Yahoo Calendar on my IPhone. For whatever reason when I go into my calendar I will see at the top of the screen that 5 or 6 "calendars" are being used and one of them is the one I called Dana_Gardner and is legitimate, the others are randomly named with letters and numbers. Why is the IPhone creating additional "calendars"? I only asked for one to be set-up. I don't understand, I have to go into the calendar settings daily and uncheck these un-asked for calendars. Help!
Mine is doing the same thing. I deleted the whole account from the mail settings and it got rid of most of the extra calendars. But there are still 2 gibberish ones left.

I am not sure if this issue is going to help you but lets give it a try.
I know that where im from, which is the Netherlands, I am not able to sent e-mails from my iPhone or any other mobile device by using 3G or a random WIFI acces point. The provider only allowes you to sent e-mails when you are connected to a network of there own. Which means if you have provider "101" and your email settings are set up for this provider in your iPhone but your using the network of a friend of yours which is provider "202" you cannot sent emails from his network. Though you can receive them you may not sent.
As I said, I am not aware if this issue is the same for you totaly depents on the country and provider your using. -

whats up with that I have one beatles song and one kenny chesney alsoMate, I'm trying to find out if it was shipped like that or not. If someone else has had the same issue then I can go back to Apple and have them look into it further. If not then as I said Vodafone is selling second hand phones and they will have to replace the phone.
Vodafone account manager is saying that he has never heard of anything like it.
So I'm left with one of 3 answers.
1: The phone was shipped like that so its a factory error.
2: The Apple genius doesn’t know what he's talking about then I can go back to the store and ask for a second opinion.
3: Vodafone is selling second hand phones as new.

I have about 70 Cd's loaded on my computer as I had previously owned another MP3 device before I got enamored with the Ipad and Iphone. My problem is itunes will not recognize all of this music. To give a specific example, I have an old Bon Jovi Cd "crossroads" , itunes only recognizes 2 songs off the Cd. How can I get itunes to recognize these songs? They do not show up on itunes anywhere but if i go to my music folder I can locate the songs and it even shows the itunes logo but, the songs will not play with itunes. I've got a few hours of music i would like to have on my iphone. Can anyone please help me with this?
It has always been very basic to always maintain a backup copy of your computer for this very occasion.
Use your backup copy to put everything on the computer, then sync.
If for some reason you have failed to maintain a backup, not good, then you can transfer itunes purchases from your iphone to your computer - File>Devices>Transfer Purchases -
I have 9.81 GB of memory free on my iphone, which is more than enough to hold my entire music library, but for some reason my mac keeps telling me that I need 6.5 GB more of memory space to hold everything in my library. What can I do to solve this?
Are there any other things selected to be synced to your phone? Photos perhaps?

My iPhone restarts for no reason
Hi. My iPhone restarts for absolutely no reason. It happens 2-3 times per day. Still, it is annoying. It can be anytime. Usually it happens when I start using it, when I slide to unlock, or when I push the top button and push the button on the headphone to start listening to music. I've tried to restore, update. First I had 1.0.0, I had this problem. Then restored to 1.0.2, still had. After that updated to 1.1.1, still this problem. I don't know what to do. I've been to all the forums, nobody seems to have this kind of problem. Please, do help me. I need my iPhone to work properly.
Sounds like its broken. Take it to an Apple store or call 800-MY-IPHON for an exchange.

I am trying to download the new software for my Iphone the 6.01 iso for some reason it's not working and it's been like this for over 2 months now. it say's that it downloadable but it's not allowing me to do so.
Make sure you have the lattest iTunes installed > hold the power down and the home buttom on your phone at the same time till your phone turns off > turn it back on > plug into your computer > try to redownload and update your phone.
See if that helps.
P.S Holding down your power button and home just soft resets your phone. -
Help Please!! my computer won't finish my update for my iphone and it says it needs to restore my iphone. I don't know why it is doing this? If I restore the phone with itunes it will wipe out all my media and contacts and I don't want to do that. But I can't use my phone it just shows a pic of a usb port plug in to a itunes note. Can anyone answer how I can get the iphone back to normal because I can't even use it.
Monday I ended up on the phone with Apple Support just to be sure I was doing the right thing and to check my back up info so I could be sure I didn't loose important data. They were very nice and helped me finish the process. When I told the tech that I couldn't download the new update and install from my iphone that is when I went to the computer and that's when I got this recovery mode thing on my phone. He told me there must have been a problem and that is why he thinks I couldn't down load it from the phone. I had to go to ITunes on my computer. Once we did the recovery we were able to check that I had a back up from the day before, so I didn't loose anything. He stayed with me til the process finished. I also found out I can prevent the auto sync for the future by setting the directions on that.
I am good now and my phone is operating fine, with the new update. Thank you all who commented back to me. -

Today I decided to ring a friend and was HORRIFIED when I found out that they couldn't hear me down the phone. I then decided to ring different people from my iPhone and I found that no one could hear me. So heres what happens
- I ring people
- I can hear them
- They can't hear me
- I use the microphone which came with the iPhone (earphone/microphone) and they say it's muffled and they can't make any sense of it
