IPhone 6 shows a different free storage from what iTunes shows.
When I go into the storage section on my iPhone (iPhone 6 iOS 8.3), it shows a different number from what iTunes shows when I connect the device to it.
There's around a 500 MB gap that I cannot understand why is happening. This is kind of critical 'cause you know how many apps or pictures can fit in 500 MB and I don't know which number to follow.
Anybody else experiencing this? Any suggestions on how to fix?

this one is actually a really rare symptom of a flaky connection to the ipod on a Windows PC. there's more going on in terms of hardware on nanos and 5th gens than in the earlier models ... so if the connection is flaky to precisely the right/wrong degree, itunes will see the ipod, but misidentify it as an earlier version of ipod.
tracking down the cause of the flakiness can be tricky ... as you already know ...
just checking. have you tried connecting with a different (known-good) USB cable? does that seem to have any impact on the rate of occurence of the problem?

Ipod reorders tracks from what itunes shows
I put the NKJV Bible on my Ipod. The tracks are named 01Gen001,01Gen002,01Gen003, etc. It shows them in the correct order when I look at the files in itunes on my ipod. But when I unplug the ipod the tracks are arranged in a random order. Is there a simple fix for this problem other than renaming the 1152 tracks?
I have this exact same problem.. exactly.. and it breaks my balls. I am not OCD about songs, but it's nice to be able to put all the songs of one artist on, without whole albums being repeated with other albums missing songs like you said. I hope someone cleans this act up for us. Peace
UPDATE: I might have figured it out... randomly some songs in an album are marked as "part of compilation". It turns out this is messing everything up! when you untick it and add them back into your ipod.. ORDER IS RESTORED!! YES!!! i was losing sleep with this ****. x -
IPhone question: Im trying to update applications on my iphone. When I do it I'm as for password from a different Apple ID from what I have in Itunes. How do I change so that both are the same?
All apps are tied to the apple id that it was used to purchase or download the app.
did you use a different id to buy the app?
you can change id, settings - appstore - apple id - log out and log in with correct id. -

If you do then that won't stop you being able to purchase items on your phone - you only need to be logged into an account to be able to purchase with it.

Can I download free apps from the iTunes store, without submitting a credit card number?
I've tried to download free Apps from the iTunes store several times. It tells me to login, so I do. Then it says "This Apple ID has not yet been used with the iTunes Store. Please review your account information." When I click Review, then I click continue, I Agree to the terms and conditions, then it wants me to enter my credit card number! BUT ITS FREE!!!!!

I Was downloading a free app from the iTunes Store ,and could not it said because no money in my method of payment .if it is free why do I need to have a method of payment?
If you didn't setp your iTunes account, from the beginning, without a credit card, you'll have to either add a credit card to your account or redeem an iTunes gift card, regardless of whether the app is free or not.

My iPhone shows 678MB of photos on settings but itunes show me 3,7GB
When I check the storage and free memory on my iPhone the Photo Library it's about 700MB but when i plug the iPhone to the PC iTunes shows 3,7GB of photos . If I go to 'My computer' on my pc and then on the iPhone the number of photos doesn't match with the iTunes counter. Does anyone knows why it happen?
I 'M using an iPhone 5 16GB running iOS 8.1.2. It happens to me since I upgraded to iOS 8. In addition, I can't delete/move photos and vids with my computer i can only copy.

Oriol.I did do that.
Restored it from backup and set up as new. Photos still there.
Im not even complaining about the "other" space taken up, which varies. Sometimes photos will go down to 1.5gb and "other" will climb to 3gb or photos will go to 2.88 and "other" will go down to 1.5.
How hard could it be for a company with that much money to fix this stupid issue thats been bugging users for like forever.... -
Objects to show at different times on a slide not showing up
Hi Everyone,
I hope this problem is minor and that I’m just missing a small step but here it goes…
I’m using Captivate 4 and I’ve only been using it on one particular computer. I updated a captivate project that I’ve been working on since September and I’ve finished all the edits (added a picture, changed a few words) as requested by colleauges when all of a sudden, some objects that were suppose to show at different times on the slide were not showing up at all. The frustrating part is I actually finished the project! When I do a preview within the edit view, the objects appear as it should, however, when I publish it or do a preview on wepage, the objects are not appearing at all (ie a word at 10 sec, another at 20 sec). Anway, there were only 3 slides acting like this, all with objects are suppose to show up at different times on the slide (these were not the slides that I recently edited). My video works fine, my quiz works fine, and I’ve uploaded an initial version of my work on a Pathlore LMS with no problems (publish specs: flash 8, AS2).
I have several other projects that are less complicated (ie no video, no objects showing at different times within the slide) and they are OK. I’ve checked on other computers and same problem.
I tried deleting the slides, and redoing it again within the same project but still wont work I tried copying everthing on a new project with the same size with no luck.
I tried making a 2 slide project with objects showing up at different times and it works.
Is my project corrupted in some way? What are the possible culprits for this problem?
I really hope I don’t have to start from scratch…

While it's certainly possible that the project has somehow become corrupt, you might find that simply closing and restarting Captivate changes things.
Have you tried that? I've seen it where bits and pieces are suddenly missing. After I restarted, things were just fine again.

My music library on my phone doesnt match what itunes shows it has on it
Suddenly the music on my iphone library doesnt match even what itunes is showing is on my phone. I purchased some new songs yesterday from Itunes, and then tried to compile them into an album like I have for years. I go into info, leave only the name and artist, create my own album name, click part of a compilations, blah blah blah. When I transfered over the new personally made album, first I noticed the songs didnt transfer over under one album, they all retained there original album info even though I deleted it, so I now have 8 songs unorganized just floating around on my phone. Then I noticed that music I have deleted from my phone is on there, music I want on my phone is not showing, and best of all, when you compare the music on my iphone to what Itunes is showing on my iphone, they dont even match! And, I cant add or delete songs from my phone. Any suggestions on how to fix this mess?

On iTunes left Pane, select iPhone under "Devices". Then on right Pane, click the "Music" Tab, make sure "SYNC MUSIC" tab is checked. Click the SYNC button on the lower right Window. -
I have applications on my iPhone and iPad that I don't want to show up on the family sharing menu (i.e., kid inappropriate stuff). When I follow the instructions from apple support for hiding apps, my iPhone and iPad apps cannot be "X-ed" out by hovering the mouse over the app icons in iTunes. Why can't I hide these?
You should be able to hide them, it's just that the 'x' is invisible (I assume that it's a bug with the current version of iTunes) - click on the app's top left corner where the 'x' should be, and it should become hidden.

If your iPhone has a different Apple ID, sign out of that one and sign onto the right one.
